How to Replace Tilt for Asari (Nuance) Chair

Step 2:

Detach the Arm from the chair.

Note: For Arm less chair remove the Arm plug screws and detach the plug.

Step 1:

Use Power driver to remove six M5 Screws.

Tools Required

Tilt

Hammer Li O Tool Mallet Nylon Cap

5mm Button Head Screw

Power Driver Torque Wrench 5mm Driver Bit T-25 Bit 4 mm Hex Bit

13 mm Socket #2 Square bit T-15 Bit

Step 6:

Remove three T15 Screws to remove the height adjustable mechanism.

Step 4:

Remove T-25 Screw using a power driver. Detach the JBar cover.

Step 3:

Use a hammer and li o tool to detach the base assembly form the chair.

Step 5:

Remove #2 square drive screw using a power driver and detach the seat

cover.

Step 10:

Remove four 5mm hex bolts to detach the tilt assembly.

Step 8:

Remove the 13mm bolts from the Jbar using power drive.

Step 7:

Use a flat screw driver and push out the cable form the mechanism to detach

it from the tilt assembly.

Step 9:

Detach the back from the chair.

Step 14:

Attach the cable from the tilt assembly to the slot in the height adjustable

mechanism as shown below and press the cable housing to x in the slot.

Secure the T15 scews to x the height adjustable mechanism with the seat.

Torque to 11.5 in-lbs.

Step 12:

Position new tilt onto the tilt adapter bracket,centering the holes in the tilt

with the holes in the tilt adapter bracket (Refer below image).Secure with

new 5mm hex bolts. Torque to 115 in-lbs.

Step 11:

Detach the Tilt from the chair assembly.

Step 5:

Replace the back to the chair and secure with the three hex bolts.Torque to

355 in-lbs. Make sure the back is aligned equal distance with all the holes in

the chair before xing tight.

Step 14:

Replace the arm onto the chair. Complete the installation by securing the

arm with three M5 Screws. Torque screws to 85 in-lbs.

Note: For Arm less chair, attach the Arm plug in place and secure with

screws. Torque to 20 in-lbs.

Step 13:

Insert the base assembly toaralhe chair assembly. Sit rmly on the chair

several time to ensure the base is xed.

Step 14:

Replace the cover to the Jbar. Securing T-25 screw in place. Torque to 20

in-lbs.

Step 13:

Replace the seat cover and secure with the screws using power driver.

Torque to 20 in-lbs.
