Important Notes:
Please check the coaxial cables regarding short circuit
before starting!
The mounting ground should be:
• flame retardant
• dust-free
• protected against humidity
• not under direct impact of sunlight
• not adjacent to heating sources
Please check the input level of the SAT-lines: They
should be nearly equal. All installations and fixings of
components should only be executed by skilled
people when the units are disconnected from the
power source. Short-circuits have to be avoided.
The European and national standards and regulations
for the guarantee of electrical security have to be
considered as well as the national permissions and
legal regulations for broadcast receiving systems!
A ground connection must be installed at the device
(Ground connector) as well as the satellite dish with at
least 4 mm² cables.
Note: Tighten the F connector to approx. 4 Nm.
Application:
The DY 40 is used for the amplification of four SAT-IF
polarizations of one satellite. By easy combining ex-
pandable up to 16 SAT-IF polarizations of four satellites.
The amplification is 30 dB and can be decreased
between 0...19 dB. The setting is done by the
integrated buttons and can be adjusted at each
input independently.
The DY 40 allows the pre equalization of the SAT
signals. Especially in huge distribution networks is
this a big advantage to compensate the cable loss
on higher frequencies. The pre equalization can be
adjusted to 0, 4, 8 and 12.
Wichtige Hinweise:
Bitte überprüfen Sie die Anlage vor Inbetrieb-
nahme auf evtl. Kurzschlüsse der Koaxialkabel.
Der Montageuntergrund sollte:
• schwer entflammbar
• staubfrei
• sicher gegen Feuchtigkeit
• nicht direkter Sonneneinstrahlung
ausgesetzt sein
• nicht in unmittelbarer Nähe von
Wärmequellen sein
Es ist darauf zu achten, dass die Eingangspegel der
SAT-Ebenen möglichst gleich hoch sind.
Alle Installationen und Montagen sollten nur von
geschultem Fachpersonal durchgeführt werden, wenn
der Netzstecker gezogen ist! Kurzschlüsse vermeiden!
Die entsprechenden Europanormen und VDE-
Bestimmungen zur Gewährleistung der elektrischen
Sicherheit sind zu berücksichtigen. Die nationalen
genehmigungsrechtlichen Regelungen für
Rundfunkempfangsanlagen sind zu beachten!
Insbesondere ist auf die Erdung des Gerätes
(Ground-Anschluss) sowie der SAT-Schüssel mit mind.
4 mm2 Schutzleiter zu achten.
Hinweis: F-Steckers mit ca. 4 Nm ordnungsgemäß
anziehen
Verwendung:
Der DY 40 dient zur Verstärkung von 4 SAT-ZF Ebenen
von einem Satelliten. Durch zusammenstecken einfach
erweiterbar auf 16 SAT-ZF Ebenen von 4 Satelliten.
Die Verstärkung beträgt 30 dB und kann zwischen
0...19 dB verringert werden. Diese Einstellung
wird über die integrierten Taster realisiert und
kann pro Eingang unabhängig geregelt werden.
Der DY 40 ermöglicht die Vorentzerrung der
SAT-Signale. Besonders bei weitläufigen Systemen
ist dies ein großer Vorteil um der Kabeldämpfung
bei hohen Frequenzen entgegenzuwirken.
Die Vorentzerrung wird in vier Schritten vorge-
nommen: 0, 4, 8 und 12 dB.
Erdung bzw. Potentialausgleich! Nach
EN 60728-11 muss die Satelliten-
Antennenanlage den Sicherheitsan-
forderungen wie z.B. Erdung,
Potentialausgleich entsprechen.

Einstellung der Dämpfung
Die LED-Anzeige ist binär aufgebaut. Der Wert hinter je-
der leuchtenden LED ist zu summieren, somit ergibt sich
die insgesamt eingestellte Dämpfung.
Zwischenschritte außerhalb der Anzeige sind möglich, so
kann beispielsweiße eine Dämpfung von 3 dB eingestellt
wenn die unterste ATT-LED leuchtet und ein
weiteres Mal der „adjust“ Taster gedrückt wird.

Setting of the attenuation
The LED indication is binary. The value behind each
glowing LED has to be summarized, the result is the
complete programmed attenuation. Steps between the
showed values are possible, 3 dB attenuation is for ex-
ample possible if the lowest ATT-LED is glowing and the
“adjust” button is pushed an additional time.

Einstellung der Vorentzerrung
Die Vorentzerrung kann in vier vordefinierten Werte
eingestellt werden. Es stehen 0, 4, 8 und 12 dB zur
Auswahl. Durch betätigen des „adjust“ Taster wird die
Vorentzerrung um jeweils einen Schritt erhöht, ange-
fangen bei 0. Der aktivierte Wert ist durch die blinkende
LED gekennzeichnet.
Pro Klick wird zwischen 0, 4, 8 und 12 dB umgeschaltet.

Setting of the pre equalizer
The pre equalization can be adjusted to four defined
values. Selectable are 0, 4, 8 and 12 dB. The pre equa-
lization will be increased about one step by pushing the
“adjust” button, starting from 0. The activated value is
marked by the blinking LED.
