Do’s
This Handheld is intended for household use only and NOT
for commercial or industrial use.
This handheld is for indoor use only.
For dry debris use, not to be used on wet surfaces.
Keep ngers, hair and loose clothing away from moving parts
and openings whilst using the handheld.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Only Vax recommended charger, tools and accessories should be used with
this handheld.
Don’t charge the handheld outdoors.
Don’t use this handheld if it has been dropped, damaged,
immersed in water or left outdoors.
Don’t run over the charger cord or use handheld if the charger
cord or plug is damaged. Please contact our Customer Care Line.
Don’t handle the plug or use the handheld with wet hands.
Don’t throw the handheld into re or expose to high
temperatures, as the handheld contains a rechargeable battery
which may cause damage or burst.
Don’t pull or carry this handheld by the charger cord. Don’t
use the charger cord as a handle, pull the charger cord around
corners or sharp edges or close a door over the charger cord. Don’t unplug
handheld by pulling on the charger cord.
Don’t attempt to remove blockages with sharp objects as this may cause
damage to your handheld.
Don’t use the handheld charger with incorrect voltage as this may result in
damage or injury to the user. The correct voltage is listed on the ratings label.
Don’t vacuum up hot coals, cigarette butts, matches or smoking hot burning
items or use in an area where there may be harmful uids (chlorine, bleach,
and ammonia drain cleaner).
Always make sure lter and dirt container are tted correctly
before using your handheld.
Always turn o the handheld and disconnect the charger
before carrying out any maintenance.
Turn o all controls on the handheld before disconnecting
or connecting the charger.
Take extra care when cleaning on the stairs.
Always replace the fuse in the plug with a British 13amp fuse.
Always protect the charger cable from heated surfaces or
near open ames.
Use only CE approved 13amp extension cords, non-approved extension cords
may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the extension cord as it could
be a trip hazard.
Always carry the handheld by the handle.
Store the hand held in a cool, dry area. If lters have been cleaned as per user
the guide instructions ensure they are thoroughly dry before storing away.

handle of machine. Initial charging time is
up to 15 hours.

The charging light will illuminate blue continuously
whilst the charger is connected. Once fully charged,
the light will ash.
Push On/O button to switch on.

IMPORTANT: The power switch must be in the OFF position to charge the battery.
When the battery is charged rst time and after prolonged storage without use, the battery will only accept
approximately 60% charge initially. However, after several charge and discharge cycles, the battery will accept a
100% charge to deliver full performance.

Twist the shroud clockwise to
separate from the lter.
Tap both the lter and lter
shroud over a bin to remove any
dust and debris.

shroud under running water.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE THE HANDHELD WITHOUT THE FILTER IN PLACE
Press dirt container release button to remove
dirt container.
Grasp the centre tab of lter and gently pull to
remove lter and lter shroud.
Cleaning the lter

Leave to fully dry for a least
24 hours before replacing.
Always unplug the charger from
the machine before carrying out
any maintenance.
CAUTION
Emptying the dirt container
Using your machine
Push crevice tool directly into the nozzle
Press dirt container release button to remove
dirt container.
Using the tools
To use the dusting brush, attach to the crevice tool.
Grasp the centre tab of lter and gently pull to
remove lter and lter shroud.

Tap over a bin to empty dirt and debris.
TIP
To maintain the battery
performance make sure
that the switch is in the OFF
position after every vacuum.
The nozzle or crevice tool may be blocked, check for
blockages and remove.
The dirt container may not be correctly tted, remove the
dirt container from the machine and check it’s assembled
correctly and ret ensuring it’s locked into place.
The lter may be clogged, clean the lter. Go to ‘Taking care
of your machine’.
The dirt container may be full, empty the dirt container.
Go to ‘Using your machine’.
The battery charge is getting weak, let the battery run until
it stops and recharge.
The charger may not be inserted fully, check the charger
and insert correctly.
Check the mains power is switched on.
Check the fuse in the plug if this
needs replacing, always replace with
a British 13amp fuse.
The plug may not be fully pushed into
the electrical socket.

Tap nozzle over a bin to remove
