IMPORTANT: Read entire owner's manual before you
attempt to assemble or operate your new pressure washer.

PREPARING PRESSURE
WASHER FOR USE
If you have any problems with the assembly of your
pressure washer or if parts are missing or damaged, call the
pressure washer helplfne at 1-800-270-1408. If calling for
assistance, please have the model, revision, and serial
number from the data tag available.
To prepare your pressure washer for operation, you
will need to perform these tasks:
I. Fillout and send in registration card.
2. Attach handle to main unit.
3. Add oil to engine crankcase.
4. Add fuel to fuel tank.
5. Connect high pressure hose to spray gun and pump.
6, Connect water supply to pump,
7. Attach nozzle extension to spray gun.

I. Place handle assembly onto handle supports connected
to main unit, Make sure holes in handle align with
holes on handle supports (Figure I).

NOTE: It may be necessary to move the handle supports
from side to side in order to align the handle so it will slide
over the handle supports.
2. Insert carriage bolts through holes from outside of
unit and aI;t'.acha plastic knob from inside of unit
(Figure 2).Tighten by hand.

Insert one "L" hooks through hole just under billboard
on lefl;side of handle (viewing from rear of unit). Hold

Add Engine Oil and Fuel
Place pressure washer on a level surface.
CAUTION

Before connecting garden hose to wa:er inlet, fnspect
inlet screen (Ffgure 6), Cle_n screen ff i: cont_fns
debrTsor have Tt replaced if damaged. Refer to the

Connect Hose and Water Supply to
Pump
IMPORTANT: To avoid pump damage, you must _ssemble
_he nozzle extension to the spray gun and attach all hoses
before you s_r% the engine,
I, Uncoil high pressure hose and att._ch one end of hose
to base of spray gun (Figure 4),Tighten by hand,
NOTE: Remove and discard all pump shipping caps before
at_ching hoses,
2, Attach other end of high pressure hose to high
pressure outlet on pump (Figure 5),Tighten by hand,
_t, Run wa_er _hrough your garden hose for 30 seconds
to clean out any debris,
IMPORTANT: DO NOT siphon standing wa_er for the
wa_er supply, Use ONLY cold water (less than 100:F),
S, Connect _he garden hose (not to exceed S0 feet in
length) to the water inlet_Tighten by hand (Figure 6),

6, Turn ON the wa_er and squeeze the trigger on the
gun to purge the pump system of air and impurities,

STARTING ENGINE

How to StartYour Pressure Washer
To s_rt your pressure washer forthe first: time, follow
these fnatruc_ions st:ep-by-s_ep.Thfsstar_fng information
also applies if you have let the pressure washer sit idle for
at least a day.

stream of wat:er and no air remains in system.This will

How to StopYour Pressure Washer
I. Let engfne idle for _vo mfnutes.

engine owner's m;_nual,
3, Squeeze trigger on the spray gun to relieve
pressure in the hose.
NOTE: A small _mount of w_r will squirt out when you
release the pressure.
How to Use the Adjustable Nozzle
You should now know how to START _nd STOP your
pressure w_sher.The fnform_tJon in thfs sec_Jon will tell
you how to adiust the spray pa_rn and to _pply detergent
or ol:her cleaning chemicals.

Applying Detergent with the
Adiustable Nozzle
IMPORTANT: Use soaps designed specifically for
pressure washers. Household detergents could damage
the pump.
CAUTION
To apply detergent, follow these steps:

Prepare detergent solution as required by iob.
Place filter end of chemical injection hose into
detergent confiner.
CAUTION
4. Slfde adiustable nozzle forward to low pressure mode.
Detergent cannot be applied with nozzle in hfgh

5. Make sure g_rden hose is connected to water fnlet.
Check that high pressure hose fs connected to spray
gumand pump. Start engfne.
6. Apply detergent to a dry su_ace, starting at lower
portion of area to be washed and work upward, using
long, even, overlapping strokes.
7. Allow detergent to "soak fn" for 3-5 mfnutes before
washing and rinsfng. Re_pply as needed to prevent
surface from dryfng, DO NOT allow detergent to dry
on (prevents streaking),
IMPORTANT: You must flush the chemf_l fniec_ion
system after each use by placing the filter fnto a bucket of
clean water, then rum the pressure washer fn low pressure
for I-2 minutes.
Pressure Washer Rinsing
For Rinsing=
I. Slide the nozzle backward to high pressure, press the
trigger and wait for the detergent to clear,
NOTE:You c_n also stop detergent from flowfng by simply
removfng chemfcal injection hose from bottle.
2. Keep the spray gun a safe dis_nce from the area you
plan to spray.
3. Apply a high pressure spray to a small are_, then check
the surface for damzge. If no damzge is found, it is okay
to contfnue cleanfng.

circulating wa_er in the pump c_n re_ch temperatures

GENERAL MAINTENANCE
RECOMMENDATIONS
The pressure washer warrr_nL7 does not cover items that
have been subiec_ed to operator abuse or negligence.To
receive full wlue from the w_rrenty, the operator must
mr_in_in the pressure washer _ instructed in this manual.
Some _dlustments will need _o be m_de periodically to
properly main_in your pressure w_sher.
All maintenance in _his manu_l and _he engine owner's
m_nual should be made at least once e_ch season.
Once a year you should clean or replace the sparl< plug,
clean or replace _he _ir filter and checl<the spray gun
_nd _djus_ble nozzle extension _ssembly for wear.A
new sparl< plug and clean air filter _ssure proper fuel-_ir
mixture and help your engine run be_er and I_st longer.
Please refer _o your engine owner's m_nu_l for more
devils.
If equipped with inflatable tires, keep the air pressure _t
_he v_lue m_rl(_d on _he _ire or within 15 _nd 40 psi.
Before Each Use
I. Check engine oil level.
2. Check water inlet screen for damage.
3, Check in-line filter for d_mage.

5. Check chemical injection hose and fll_er for damage.
6. Check spray gun and _djus_ble nozzle extension
zssembly for le_ks.
7. Rinse out g_rden hose _o flush out debris.
PRESSURE WASH ER
MAINTENANCE
Check and Clean Inlet Screen
Exr_mine1:hescreen on the water inlet. Cler_n it if the
screen is clogged or replace it it"screen is dr_maged.
Check Hish Pressure Hose
The high pressure hose can develop le_ks from wear,
kinl<ing, or _buse. Inspect the hose each _ime before using
it. Check for cuts, leal<s,_br_sions or bulging of cover,
d_mage or movement of couplings. If any of _hese
conditions exist, replace _he hose immediately.
Check Chemical Iniection Hose
Exr_mine1:hef_l_er on the detergent tube r_ndcle_n if
clogged.The tube should fit tightly on the b_rbed fitting.

Check Gun and Adjustable Nozzle

Purge Pump of Air and
Contaminants
To remove air from the pump, follow these s_ps:
I, Set up pressure washer as descrfbed fn _Preparfng
Pressure Washer For Use", Connect wa:er supply and
_rn w_:er on,
2, Pull trfgger on spray gun and hold.
3, When w_ter supply is steady and constant, engage
safety la:ch.
To remove €on_rnlnants from the pump, follow
these steps:
I, Set up pressure washer as descrfbed fn _Preparfng
PressureWasher For Use". Connect water supply and
_rn w_:er on,
2, Remove nozzle ex_ensfen from spray gun.
3, Star_ engine according to fnstructfens in "Flow To Use
Your Pressure Washer".
4, Squeeze :rigger on spray gun and hold,
5, When w_ter supply is steady and constant, engage
safety latch and refasten nozzle extension,
Check In-Line Filter
Refer to Ffgure 12 and service the in-line filter if ft
becomes clogged, as follows:

Assemble nozzle extension to spray gun, as descrfbed

O-Ring Maintenance
Purchase an C_Rfng/Mafntenance Kit, part number
191922GS by contacting the nearest authorized servfce
center. It fs no: included with the pressure wzsher,Thfs kft
includes replacement o-rfngs, rubber washer and water
inlet filter. Refer to the fnstructfon sheet provfded in the kft
:o service your unit's o-rings,
Cleaning Chemical Injection Hose
If you used :he chemi_l fniectfon hose, you must flush ft
wi:h cle_n water before stopping :he engine.
I. Place chemi_l fniection hose fn a bucket full of clean
water,
2. Slide adjustable nozzle forward to low pressure
position, Flush for I-2 mfnutes,
3. Shut off engine.
IMPORTANT: Simply shutting OFF engine will not
release pressure fn :he system,When the engine has
shut down, squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to
relieve the pressure in the hose.

Pump Maintenance
Changing Pump Oil
Change oil every S0 hours or once yearly, whichever
occurs fTrst,
NOTE: Purchase _ preme_sured bo_le of pump oil, i_m
number 190586GS, by contacting the nearest authorized
service center.
Change pump oll as follows:
I, Drain engine oil and fuel from pressure washer,
2, Use 8ram allen wrench to remove bbck pump oil
c_p be_en high pressure outlet and g_rden hose
inlet (Figure 13).
3. Tilt pressure wzsher _o drain oil into an _pproYed
container until it drips slowly from pump.
4. Tilt pressure wzsher in opposfte direction _nd empty
premeasured pump oil bo%le fnto s_me openfng (_
sm_ll funnel may be helpful).
S. Install bbck pump oil cap and tfghten firmly.
6. Set pressure wzsher in upright position.Add fuel _nd
engine oil.

properly maintain _he engine.

PREPARING THE UNIT
FOR STORAGE
Water should not remafn in the unft for long perfods of
time, Sedfments or minerals can deposit on pump parts and
==freeze" pump action. If you do not plan to use the
pressure washer for more than 30 days,follow this
procedure:
I. Flush chemical fniectfon hose by placing filter fnto a pall
of clean water whfle running pressure washer fn low
pressure mode (adiustable nozzle fn forward positron),
Flush for one to two mfnutes,
2. Shut off engine and let ft cool, then remove high
pressure and garden hoses, Disconnect spark plug wire
from spark plug,
3. Empty/pump of all pumped liquids by pullfng recoil
handle about 6 times,Thfs should remove most liquid
in pump,
4, Use PumpS_ver to prevent corrosion bufld up and
freezfng of pump.
5. Store unft in a clean, dry area.

To pro_ect the pump from damage caused by mfneral
deposfts or freezing, use PumpSwer to treat pump, Thfs
prevents freeze damage and lubricates pfstons and seals.
NOTE: PumpSaver is available as an optfonal accessory, It
is not included with the pressure washer. Conts_ tile
nearest audlorfzed service center to purchase PumpSwer,

To use PumpSayer, make sure the pressure washer is
turned off and disconnected from supply water. Read and
follow all instructfons and warnings given on the PumpSaver
container.
NOTE: PumpSaver will drip from pump after treatment
and wfll s_in wood and concrete,
NOTE: If PumpS_ver fs not avaflable, draw RV antffreeze
(non-alcohol) into the pump by pouring the solutfon fnto a
3-foot sectfon of garden hose connected to fnlet adapter
and pullfng recoil handle wcfce,
