Are the Symptoms the exact
same on both Loudspeakers?
Check mains leads and signal
cables are terminated and
connected correctly.
If noise can be heard through
the Loudspeakers, check the
location of mains leads and
signal cables so that they are
situated away from any device
that may generate
interference.
Check all other devices in the
system for faults, i.e Source
products, Pre-amp, Power-

If possible test the
Loudspeakers in a
totally different
system.
Swap the signal
cables from left to
right.
Do the symptoms remain the
same for each Loudspeaker?
Identify the suspect part from
each Loudspeaker separately.
It may help to do this by
following the flow process in
Section 1.

APPENDIX 2
Removing & Re-fitting Amplifier Module
Before you start
Observe static precautions when carrying out this procedure. Wear footwear that is suitable
for handling heavy equipment. Take care not to cause damage to the speaker cabinet and
amplifier module. It is advisable that the following procedure is carried out by 2 people.
Ensure there is a soft clean surface that can be used to place the amplifier module on without
risk of damage to the heat-sink.
Ensure the product is disconnected from the mains and input cables have been removed.

1.
Remove and retain the top 6 bolts (as
shown) that secure the module in position.
Do not remove the lower bolts!
2.
Remove the 2 bolts located at the bottom
of the module.
3.
Carefully lean the amp module back, until it
is being supported by the strap.
Disconnect all the cables between the amp
module and speaker (8 cables in total).
Note: Some of these cables are short.
Failure to remove all 8 may result in
damage to the cables and/or the
connectors.

4.
Supporting the amplifier module against
your shoulder, locate the securing point for
the top of the strap within the upper rear of
the cabinet.
If the speaker you are working on has one,
remove and retain the nut and washer from
the securing bolt. Other speakers have an
insert within the cabinet.
5.
Ensure the module is being supported
before moving the module towards the
cabinet slightly and then removing the
support strap bolt from the cabinet.
Remove and retain the bolt and washer
from the strap.
6.
Carefully lift the module clear of the rear of
the cabinet and place on a soft protective
surface to stop the module being marked
or scratched.
One of the original packing end caps would
be ideal.

Information
1.
When refitting the amplifier module, be
careful not to damage the fan or its
bracket. The suspended bracket is to be
located in the space between the fan and
the back of the module.
2.
Carefully lift the module and guide the
base of the module into position.
Be careful not to trap any of the cables
underneath the module.
Once in place support the module ready to
refit the strap.
FITTING THE MODULE TO THE CABINET
3.
Locate the end of the support strap, and
make sure that it is not twisted. Refit the
washer and bolt.

3.
Reconnect the LED cable to the connector
at the top of the upper 8” amplifier board.
The LED must be fitted to the connector
nearest the centre of the amplifier module
otherwise it will not function.
The LED cable has 2 wires, (one red and
one black) terminated with a 2 way
connector.
