Always keep and use the device well out of the reach of chil-
dren.
a
z Only use the device for the purpose specified by the manufac-
turer.
z Operate the device only if you are certain that the housing and
the cables are undamaged.
z Ensure the device is standing firmly.
Set up the device securely so that it cannot tip over or fall down.
z Avoid infiltration of fluids into the device.
z Do not place the device onto a heated surface.
2.3 Operating the device safely as a work lamp
d
z Risk of breakage and injury
Never operate the work lamp without the protective cover.

39
2.5 Operating the device safely as an AC current
source.
(MPP300 only)
d
z Risk of fatal injury
A voltage of 230 V is present at the socket for the AC current
source. When using PowerPack, observe the conventional
safety regulations for devices which operate at this voltage.
e
z The AC current source is only suitable for operation of 230 V
consumer units which are fitted with a safety or continental plug.
z Never insert any objects other than the appropriate plugs into
the socket of the AC current source.
z The AC current source will cut out when you switch on the
power-consuming unit if the switch-on power for the consumer
unit is too high.
z Please note the maximum power output for the device and con-
nect consumer units with the appropriate power consumption
only.
If the fuse blows, the AC current source is overloaded.
Frequent blowing of the fuse (e. g. with consumer units with
low power consumption) indicates a fault with the AC current
source. In such cases you should take the device to a cus-
tomer service centre as soon as possible.
2.6 Operating the device safely as a compressor
(MPP300 only)
a
z Never operate the compressor with valves, connector fittings or
adapters which are defective or damaged.

5 Technical description
PowerPack can be used as:
z DC current supply: You can supply power-consuming units
with a DC current of 4.5 V, 6 V, 9 V or 12 V. Total maximum
power consumption of these may not exceed 1 A (4.5 V, 6 V,
9 V) or 10 A (12 V).
z Work lamp
z USB charger: You can charge up battery-driven devices that
can be recharged via the USB port (USB standard: 5 V, 0.5 A).
z Battery jump starter (MPP300 and MPS500 only): You can
use the device as a battery jump starter for vehicles with a 12 V
battery. A safety cut-out device protects PowerPack against
short circuits.
z 230 V AC current source (MPP300 only): You can supply AC
current to consumer units providing total maximum power con-
sumption does not exceed 200 W.
z Compressor (MPP300 only): You can inflate small-sized
objects (car tyres, bicycle tyres etc.).
The PowerPack battery is maintenance-free.
You can store the enclosed accessories in the stowage
compartment. With the MPS500, the battery terminals of the starter
cable can be stored in the recesses of the carrying handle.
With the MPP200 and MPP300, you can stack two devices on top
of one another and connect them together to double the battery
capacity (a link-up cable for this is available as an accessory).
