1. APP Registration and Login

1.1 Download GENERATOR APP and install.

⚫ For iOS system, search “Companion Generator” APP from App Store

and install as instructed.

⚫ For Android system, search “Companion Generator” APP from

Google Play and install as instructed.

1.2 Click “Register" to complete user registration according to relevant

prompts.

NOTE

When you install this APP, please choose “TRUST this APP” if

prompted to select an option.

1.3 Log in with the user name and password used to register at Step 1.2

2. Adding the Generator to the APP

2.1 Open your phone’s Wi-Fi settings, select the generator and connect.

The Wi-Fi signal is the start of the generators’ model number. For example,

generator model COMP2100W Wi-Fi signal is "COMP2100W 03000000".

03000000 is the serial number of Generator.

NOTE

This APP can be only connected to generators with monitor installed

inside.

2.2 Click on the GENERATOR icon on the phone screen to enter the

GENERATOR APP. Click "Management" icon at the bottom of the APP

screen, and then enter the "Management" page.

2.3 Click on "Add device", choose the Wi-Fi signal that matches your

generator model on "Devices detected" page (eg COMP21000W

03000000).

2.4 Before you click on "OK" in the "New devices" page, you will need to

turn Off the Wi-Fi first but keep the APP page on. Then open the mobile

network, to make sure mobile phone can connect to the mobile network,

and then click "OK" in the "New devices" screen. You can see "add

success" tip, the generator has been uploaded into the APP.

NOTE

Once the generator is added in management, it will be kept there until

you delete it.

3. APP Connection and Monitoring on Generator.

3.1 Turn on the Wi-Fi on the phone and connect the Wi-Fi from generator

again.

3.2 Click on "monitor" on "Management" icon. You can monitor the

following items: Power, Current, Voltage, Frequency, Remaining fuel,

Running time, Total running time, Fuel consumption rate, Total fuel

consumption, Total power output.

NOTE

⚫ If you want accurate monitoring of "remaining fuel", you need to

click on "Click to calculate after filling fuel tank" after filling fuel

tank. Fuel tank must be full, otherwise, it cannot monitor the

correct data.

⚫ When the quantity of remaining fuel low, the "remaining fuel" icon

will flicker to remind you to refuel.

⚫ The environment and distance between the generator and your

mobile device may influence the efficiency of the Wi-Fi

connection.

4. APP Content

4.1 On the “monitoring” page, some images/content may not appear in the

Generator APP upon initial connection. If this occurs, disconnect from Wi-Fi,

reconnect. When you enter the APP again, the images/content will be

successfully loaded.

4.2 When you connect to the generator and do the monitoring, the

generator picture and serial numbers will be shown at the bottom of

"Home" page.

NOTE

⚫ The generator images/content will be saved by the Generator

APP.

⚫ While monitoring generator, keep phone connected to Wi-Fi

signal from the generator.

5. Troubleshooting

If you have trouble with the generator, in the Generator APP, you can click

on "trouble shooting”, and follow the step-by-step guide.

6. Maintenance

"Maintenance" icon will flicker to remind user to maintain the generator

according the maintenance schedule.

7. Start the Generator by the APP (optional)

You can start the generator by clicking on "Start" icon in "Management"

item.

NOTE

⚫ Please TURN ON Fuel Tap and Engine Switch before starting.

⚫ Please use Engine Choke if necessary when starting a cold

engine.

⚫ The environment and distance between the generator and your

mobile device may influence the efficiency of the Wi-Fi

connection.

8. Shut down the Generator by the APP

You can shut down the generator by clicking on "shut down" icon in

"Management" item.

NOTE

⚫ Please TURN OFF all electrical loads connected to the generator

before shutting down.

⚫ The environment and distance between the generator and your

mobile device may influence the efficiency of the Wi-Fi

connection.
