Sirius Satellite Radio MiRGE™ Interoperable Satellite Radio allows you to enjoy your favorite channels at home or on the road. With its sleek design and easy-to-use interface, you'll be able to find and listen to your favorite music, news, talk, and sports programming with just a few clicks.

The MiRGE radio comes with a variety of features that make it the perfect choice for any satellite radio listener. These features include:

 Snap the mount onto the vent.

To remove, push the mount into the vent, then lift up.



 The adhesive used with the adhesive mount may make it difficult to remove. Do not

install this mount on leather surfaces and make sure the air temperature is at least 60°F (15°C).

 Locate a flat surface for the mount. Make sure there is ample room for the

vehicle dock and radio when installed.

 Clean the surface with the alcohol pad and let it dry thoroughly.

 Peel off the adhesive liner. Position, press, and hold the adhesive mount

in place for 30 seconds.

 Let the adhesive dry for 2 - 3 hours before attaching the vehicle dock and

radio to the mount. For best results let dry for 24 hours.



 Do it yourself with the step-by-step instructions below if your vehicle has a cassette player or

audio input. If your vehicle does not have a cassette player or audio input, professional installation

with XM SureConnect or XM FM Direct is strongly recommended (each sold separately).





You can use either the vent mount or the adhesive mount for your radio depending on

your particular situation.



 Locate a vent with horizontal slats sturdy

enough to hold your vehicle dock and radio.

 Adjust the clamps to fit your vent.

• Convertible - On trunk lid, at least 3” from seam. Centered between right

and left sides.

 

The best place to hide your antenna

wire depends on your vehicle. It’s

usually easiest to run the wire from

the rear of the vehicle to the front

toward the radio by routing the

cable along the interior trim where it

meets the carpet, by gently pushing

it behind the edges of the trim. Then

bring the cable out from the trim

and route it under the carpet to the

dashboard or console. Plug the cable

into the radio and coil any extra

wires under the carpet or floor mat.

 Always be careful to include enough

slack in your cable to accommodate open

doors or trunk lids. Use things typically

found around the home, like electrical tape

or twist ties, to secure cables in areas so

that hinges do not pinch the cable. Hide any

excess cable in the trim.



When using this product it is always important to keep your eyes on the road and hands on the

wheel. Not doing so could result in personal injury, death and/or damage to your SIRIUS XM Radio,

accessories and /or to your vehicle or other property.

The radio should be placed in your vehicle where it will not interfere with the function of safety

features, e.g., deployment of airbags. Failure to correctly place radio may result in injury to you or

others if the unit becomes detached during an accident and/or obstructs the deployment of an airbag.



 Plug the  into the vehicle dock’s ANT IN connection.

 Plug the  into the vehicle dock’s DC IN connection.

 Plug one of the audio adapters into the vehicle dock’s AUDIO OUT connection.

• Use the  if your vehicle has a built-in cassette player.

 Insert the dock into the vent or adhesive mount.

 Insert your radio into the dock.

 As mentioned, if your vehicle is not equipped with a cassette player or an audio input, you

will need to use either XM SureConnect or XM FM Direct (each sold separately at xmradio.com/

mirgeaccessories). Professional installation is strongly recommended for either of these options,

and it can also help improve your radio’s reception and significantly reduce the visibility of wires.

•  (sold separately): You can listen to your radio through your vehicle’s stereo by

using the XM SureConnect. Simply find an unused FM frequency on the stereo and set your radio

to transmit on that same frequency. Refer to Set the FM Frequency page in your user guide for

more information.

•  (sold separately): This option directly connects the radio to your vehicle’s

audio system and antenna.

 Turn the swivel to accommodate the vehicle dock and radio. Adjust the

tension via the center screw.

To remove, carefully lift the adhesive pad with your fingers or a spoon. Warming the

pad with a hair dryer for several minutes will help soften the adhesive.





YOU MUST USE THE INCLUDED INTEROPERABLE ANTENNA WITH THIS RADIO

 

Leave at least 3” of metal around the antenna.

Use the rubber tail cover to hide and protect the

exposed wire. Feed the wire under the rubber

molding around the back windshield, into the seal

around the trunk. Route the cable along trunk wall

and into the interior cabin from there.

Before you can listen to any of the great channels, you must first

activate your radio.

 Make sure your radio is in SIRIUS mode by pressing the

 button. See page 24 in the user guide for more information.

 Make sure your radio is properly installed and receiving the

SIRIUS signal so that you can hear the audio on SIRIUS

Channel 184.

 Make a note of your radio’s ID number. You can find it:

• On Channel 0 on either SIRIUS or XM

• On the rear package label

• On the label on the back of your radio

 Activate your service:

• Online: Go to 



• By phone: call 1-888-539-SIRIUS (1-888-539-7474)

 Depending on which Satellite Radio services you activated, channels will

become available about 10 to 15 minutes after activation — although it may

take up to an hour. Your radio must remain ON until activated.





 Turn on your vehicle’s radio.

 Insert the cassette adapter or AUX In Cable.

 If you are using the XM SureConnect or the XM FM Direct adapter, refer to 

 on page 54 of the user guide for more information.

 Turn  your radio.

You may experience a brief delay while your radio powers up. If you press the power button

during this time, you will see a “Please Wait” message.

 The currently-active radio service logo is shown in the display’s channel

information bar.

 Press the  on the radio or remote to switch to the other radio

service. The radio will play the channel that was last tuned in that service.



You can assign up to 10 presets of your favorite channels in each satellite service to

the number buttons so you can quickly access them.

To assign a preset to a button:

 Tune to the desired channel.

 Be sure you are in Favorite Channels

mode. Press  until Favorite

Channels appears in the title bar.

 Press and hold the number button

you want to use for that preset.

To listen to a favorite channel:

 Be sure you are in Favorite Channels

mode. Press  until Favorite

Channels appears in the title bar.

 Press the number button assigned

to your favorite channel.

 To see your list of Favorite Channels,

press or . Select a favorite and press

the  to listen to that channel.



You can view multiple channels on the display to see what else is playing.

To change the mode, press .

When in Split Screen with Channel List, you can scroll through the list of channels,

just like when it appears on the full screen. Press or to change categories. Press the

 to select a channel.

 Press  to tune to the previous channel on active service.


