INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing our Platinum Coffee Maker. Each unit has been
manufactured to ensure safety, reliability, and easy of use. Before use, please
read these instructions carefully and save them for future reference.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using your Platinum Coffee Maker, basic precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
l This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge concerning the use of this product, unless they are supervised or
have been given instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
l Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
l Always ensure that the voltage on the rating label corresponds to the voltage
in your home.
l Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage. If the cord or the
plug is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a qualified
person in order to avoid an electrical hazard.
l This appliance is intended for household use only. Industrial or commercial
use will void the warranty, and the supplier can not be held responsible for
injury or damage caused when using the appliance for any other purpose
than that intended.
l Incorrect operation and improper use can damage the appliance and cause
injury to the user.
l Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way. In
case of damage, take the unit in for examination and/or repair by an
authorized service agent.
l To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse or expose the motor
assembly, plug or the power cord to water or any other liquid.
l Never immerse the unit in water or any other liquid for cleaning purposes.
l Remove the plug from the socket by gripping the plug. Do not pull on the
cord to disconnect the appliance. Always unplug the unit when not in use,
before cleaning or when adding or removing parts.
l The use of accessory attachments that are not recommended or supplied by
the manufacturer may result in injuries, fire or electric shock.
l Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Ensure that
the cord is not in a position where it can be pulled on inadvertently.
l Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces and do not place on or near a hot
gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
l Use of an extension cord with this appliance is not recommended.
However, if it is necessary to use an extension lead, ensure that the lead is
suited to the power consumption of the appliance to avoid overheating of the
extension cord, appliance or plug point. Do not place the extension cord in
a position where it can be pulled on by children or animals or tripped over.

l This appliance is not suitable for outdoor use. Do not use this appliance for
anything other than its intended use.
l Do not carry the appliance by the power cord.
l Do not touch hot surfaces directly. Use handles or knobs.
l Do not leave this appliance unattended during use. Always unplug the unit
when not in use. Allow it to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and
before cleaning the appliance.
l Always operate the appliance on a smooth, even and stable surface. Do
not place the unit on a hot surface.
l The manufacturer does not accept responsibility for any damage or injury
caused by the improper or incorrect use of the appliance, or by repairs
carried out by unauthorized personnel.
l In case of technical problems, switch off the machine and do not attempt to
repair it yourself. Return the appliance to an authorized service facility for
examination, adjustment or repair. Always insist on the use of original
spare parts. Failure to comply with the above mentioned precautions and
instructions, could affect the safe operation of this machine.
l Do not use this Appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels
containing water.
l Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To
disconnect, turn any control to Off, then remove plug from wall outlet.
l Do not set the carafe on a hot or cold surface.
l Do not use the carafe having a loose or weakened handle.
l Never leave the empty carafe on the keeping warm plate otherwise the carafe is
liable to crack.
l Do not clean the carafe with cleaners, steel wool pads, or other abrasive
materials.
l Avoid contacting moving parts.
l Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
l Check the grinder box for presence of foreign objects before using.
l Never leave the empty carafe on the keeping warm plate otherwise the carafe is
liable to crack.
l Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
l The container is designed for use with this appliance. It must never be used
on a range top.
l This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications
such as:
-Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
-Farm houses;
-By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;

USING YOUR COFFEE MAKER
Before first use, please follow these instructions:
1. Remove all packaging and any labels,
2. Fill to the maximum level mark with fresh water, boil and empty the coffee
maker at least 2 times to clear coffee maker of any tiny particles. Do not drink
the water.
3. Cleaning all the detachable parts, such as the grinder box, filter, filter holder
and so on completely.
Set the clock
1. Once the appliance is connected to power supply, 88:88 will display and flash on
the LED display, after 5s, the LED will display 12:00.
Note: If you do not set the clock, you can go directly to other settings.
2. Press the program button once (see LED display). You are now in the
Time Set mode and can operate either hr or min button to achieve the
desired setting.
3. Confirm the clock setting by waiting for 15 seconds.
4. The buttons can be held down to scroll through the digits, or pressed and
released lightly to advance one digit at a time.
Note: The time cycle is 24 hours (the details refer to the LED display).
To set the program time
If you do not want the coffee maker start operation immediately, you may set the
automatic start function as follows:
1. After set the clock (suppose the current time is 13:30). Press the program
button twice. You will enter the state of preset the automatic start time(see
LED display). The desired time can be set by pressing the hr and min
buttons to scroll forward through the digits.
2. When the desired time setting approaches, press the on/off button twice.
The indicator of program will be illuminated. When the preset time achieves
and the indicator of program will be extinguished. The indicator of on/off will
be illuminated and the coffee maker will start to brew.
Note: you can see the automatic start time by pressing the program. You
can determine the display time is programmed time or current time by
seeing the lower indicator on the LED (the details refer to the LED display)
3. If you want to cancel the preset program, press the on/off button twice. The
appliance will start to brew immediately.
4. Reset the automatic start mode, only following the steps 1-2 again.

TO USE YOUR COFFEE MAKER
Before you make the first pot of coffee in your new appliance, we recommend
operating the coffee maker once, using only water and paper filter. This will
remove any dust or residues which remain in the system from the
manufacturing process.
1. Add beans: Open the tank cover by pushing the release button and lifting
up, and remove the grinder box , then open the grinder box lid by screwing it, fill
the grinder box with the desired quantity of beans according to the marks on
the grinder box. The marks indicate the coffee bean which making
corresponding coffee (see fig.1). Generally load the grind box 2OZ beans most.
Do not overfill or the Grinder box may be blocked and/or the coffee maker may
overflow. And assemble the grinder box into the coffee maker, it must be noted
the connector groove must be locked into the motor shaft (see fig.2), otherwise
the grinder box will not be assembled in place properly, and it may damage the
grinder box.
Note: the grinder box must be removed for adding beans.
2. And replace the grinder box cover (see fig.3), first place into position from
the position, then turn the grinder box lid in clockwise until it lock into the
position), otherwise the appliance will not operate.

3. Fill the tank: after add beans, then pouring the desired amount of water in the
tank from the indication on the inner cover (see fig.4), and the water level
shall according to the gauge located at the right of the tank.
Note: before filling water, the inner cover must be assembled in place.
4. Pull out the filter holder: Place itself permanent filter in the filter holder and
replace the filter cover. Then push the filter holder in place.
Note: a permanent filter may allow some ground coffee to flow into carafe.
5. Close the tank cover: Press down to lock. The appliance is equipped with a
safety interlock system. The details refer to the section of PROBLEM
SOLVING.
6. Before brewing coffee: Make sure you have replaced the carafe in its
position on the keeping warm plate.
7. Plug the cord into an electrical outlet. 8888 will display and flash on the
LED, after 5s, 12:00 will appear until you set the time. Set the current clock
according to the Set the clock section on the above.
8. Make sure the indicator of grind off must be extinguished.
Note: If the indicator of grind off is illuminated, it means that the appliance is on
the make coffee with pre-ground bean mode. The appliance will omit the step
of grinding bean.
9.Select Cups Setting: The 1-4cup setting button is used to control the time of
grinding bean, if you want make 1-4 cup coffee, press the button and the
indicator of 1-4 cup will be illuminated. The time of grinding bean is about 30s.
If you do not press the button, the default set is 5-12 cups. The time of
grinding bean is about 40s.
Note: the 1-4 cup button only use in the make coffee with bean mode. In other
words, the indicator above of the button of grind off must be extinguished. In
the make coffee with pre-ground bean mode, it is unused. And during
operation, the button is not activated.

10. Start to operate:
Immediate grinding and brewing: Press the on/off button, the indicator of run
will light and the process will begin.
Programmed brewing: If you do not want the coffee maker start operation
immediately, you may set the automatic start function according to the Set the
program time on the above.
11. When finish grinding bean, the brewing process begins.
Note: During operation, you can take out carafe, pour and serve at any time.
The appliance will stop dripping automatically. But the time cannot exceed 30
seconds.
Caution: when the brewing has almost finished, the quantity of steam will be
much more, and the steam may run out from control panel, filter holder and
other gap. It is normal, you only need to care of not be burned by steam, it will
not affect the normal operation.
12. Once the coffee has been finished brewing, stir it before serving to blend
the flavors. The coffee at the bottom of the carafe will be somewhat
stronger than the coffee at the top. After brewing, the unit will keep warm
for 2 Hours and then automatically shut power off.
Or press the on/off button twice to shut power off and unplug the power outlet.
Make Coffee with Pre-ground Beans
1. Fill the tank: Open the tank cover by pushing the release button and lifting up.
Make sure the inner cover is in place, then pouring the desired amount of
water in the tank according to the gauge located at the right of the reservoir.
2. Pulling out the filter holder. Add ground coffee to our permanent filter. Our
recipe suggestion: Use 1 level scoop of ground coffee per cup. Adjust the
recipe according to your individual.
Note: The maximum capacity for ground coffee is 10 level scoops, using a
permanent filter. Exceeding that amount may cause overflow if the coffee is too
finely ground.
3. Replace the filter cover and push the filter holder in place.
4. Before brewing coffee: Make sure you have replaced the carafe in its
position on the keeping warm plate and have placed a filter in the filter holder,
replace the filter cover.
5. Plug the cord into an electrical outlet. 8888 will display and flash on the
LED, after 5s, 12:00 will appear until you set the time. Set the current clock
according to the Set the clock section on the above.
6. Press the grind off button and the indicator of grind off will be illuminated.
The appliance will omit the step of grinding bean and enter the brewing
operation once you press the on/off button or the preset time achieves.
7. Follow instructions 9 through 11 from the Make Coffee with bean section.

Pause serve
This feature allows you to pour a cup of coffee before the entire brew cycle has
completed. By removing the Carafe, the flow of coffee from the bottom of the
filter will stop.
Caution: Return carafe to warming plate within 30 seconds. Hot water
continues to flow into the filter when this feature is used. Overflowing coffee
and hot water would be a burn hazard.
Automatic shutoff
The Automatic Shutoff feature shuts off the warming plate 2 hours after brew
cycle begins. Always turn coffee maker off and unplug when finished.
CARE AND CLEANING
Completely clean and dry all detachable parts after every use. It must be
maintain for 30 minutes every two cycles. The purpose is let the appliance cool
down completely.
1. Always turn coffee maker off and remove the plug from the electrical outlet
before cleaning.
2. Remove all the detachable parts.
3. After remove the carafe from the warming plate, discard any remaining
coffee. The carafe and lid can be washed in warm soapy water and rinsed
thoroughly, or placed in a dishwasher. The carafe and carafe lid should be
placed on the upper rack only.
4. Pull out the filter holder. Remove filter cover and filter.
5. The grinder box, grinder box lid, filter, filter holder and filter cover can be
washed in warm soapy water and rinsed thoroughly, or cleaned in the upper
rack of the dishwasher. Dry all parts after every use.
6. Do not put any water in the unit once the grinder box has been removed.
Wipe the area under the grinder box with a damp cloth. If water gets into the
grinder motor, the motor may become damaged and may malfunction.
7. Once after cleaning, reverse the above steps.
Note:
a) Do not use scouring agential or harsh cleansers on any part of the coffee
maker.
b) Never immerse base unit in water or other liquid. To clean base, simply
wipe with a clean, damp cloth and dry before storing.
c) Wipe the keeping warm plate with a clean, damp cloth. Never use rough,
abrasive material or cleaners to clean the resting plate.
d) Do not dry the inside of the tank with a cloth, as lint may remain.

PROBLEM SOLVING
During operation, if the water tank cover/ grinder box/carafe are not in place
separately, the motor will be cut off, the buzzer will alarm, and the LED will
display and flash. The details of display according to the following:
(1) If the tank cover is not in place, the display will showOPN1and alarm
sound will be heard.
(2) If the grinder box is not in place, the display will showOPN2and alarm
sound will be heard.
a. If on the state of grinding bean, replace the grinder box, and close the water
tank cover within 5s, the appliance will continue to working, If the time
exceed 5s, the appliance will stop.
b. If on the state of heating, replace the grinder box and water tank at any time,
the appliance will continue to working.
DECALCIFICATION
Decalcification refers to removing the calcium deposits which form over time on
the metal parts of the coffee maker.
For best performance from your coffee maker, decalcify the base unit from time
to time. The frequency depends upon the hardness of your tap water and how
often you use the coffee maker.
To clean, fill the water reservoir to capacity with a mixture of 1/3 white vinegar
and 2/3 water. Turn the coffee maker on by pressing the ON button. One cycle
should be sufficient to adequately clean the coffee maker. When the cycle is
completed and the five beeps sound, turn coffee maker off. Repeat operation,
this time using fresh cold water.

1. The party selling the product (the seller) to the original purchaser of
this product (the customer) hereby warrants that this product will be of
good quality and, in good working order and, free of defects and
suitable for its intended purpose under normal household use, for a

2. In the event that the warranty period has not lapsed and the product is

4. This warranty applies only to the product that has been purchased from
the seller and not to any expendables attached to or installed on the
product by the customer.
5. Any claim in terms of this warranty must be supported by the original
