FAMILIARIZE WITH THE DISPLAYED CONTENTS IN THE LCD
1.
"CD" shows when the disc played is a CD-DA.
2.
"MP3" shows when the disc played is a MP3-CD.
3. "PROG" shows during Programming and in programmed play.
4. "WMA" shows when the file played is in WMA format.

"ST" shows when the incoming station is a stereo FM station.

POWER SUPPLY

BAlTERlES OPERATION
1. Remove the battery compartment cover gently.
2.
Install 8
x
'C' size batteries (SUM-2 or equivalent) while observing the
correct polarities.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
NOTE:
The AC cord must be detached from the AC socket of the player.
Leaking batteries may damage the battery cabinet and the player as a
whole, so they should be removed from the cabinet when becoming weak
or when the player is not to be played on batteries for some time.

AC OPERATION
Insert the AC cord to the AC socket of the player, and plug the other end to
an applicable wall outlet.
NOTE:
Please be sure the AC Voltage Selector is switched to your local
voltage if applicable.
NOTE:
If the AC plug of this unit does not fit in with your AC outlet, a plug
adaptor should be used. Consult your local dealer on the type of
plug adaptor.
TO PLAY THE RADIO
1.
Slide the FUNCTION switch to Radio position to set the radio after you have
connected this unit to a proper power supply.
2. Slide the BAND switch to select the desired wave band.
3. Tune to desired station by rotating the Tuning knob. The digit changes to show
that you are selecting a specific radio frequency
4. If the BAND switch is in the FM ST position, and when FM ST signal is in, the FM
ST indicator will be shown on the display with the icon "FM". Refer to the
illustration below.

Adjust the Volume Control to your listening preference.

To turn off the radio, Slide the FUNCTION switch to OFF position
ANTENNAS
The built-in AM antenna and the FM Telescopic antenna are directional. You may
find that you can improve AM reception by rotating the set or bringing it closer to a
window. The FM reception can be fine adjusted by FM telescopic antenna. Be sure
to extend the FM telescopic antenna carefully to its full length for best reception.
STEREO PHONES JACK
A stereo phones jack has been provided on the side of the player so that you can
listen without disturbing others. To use this jack, plug in the
headphoneslearphones
(NOT INCLUDED) and adjust theVOLUME control to a preferred level.
NOTE:
When external headphoneslearphones are connected, the speakers will
be muted.
HANDLING AND MAINTENANCE OF A DISC.
Follow the instructions below to handle and maintain your disc in order that long
time and trouble free performance can possibly be obtained:
Ensure not to touch the rain bow side of the disc; handle the
&$
disc by the edge.
Long time exposure to sunshine, high temperatures and
humidity will damage the disc. And keep storage area clean.

Avoid sticking labels on both sides of a disc. Writing with
pointed articles on the disc
should.be strictly avoided.
Clean the disc wiping the centre and then working out to the
cleansing lotion or chemical eradicator.

ANTI-SHOCK PROTECTION

A special circuitry inside the player guarantees that there will be no sound
skipping when the player is subject to shock and shaking in music playback.
The laser scans the
CDIMP3 disc and saves data for up to 601120 seconds
ahead of where the playback is on the disc. In case of shocks or shaking or
vibrations, the player reads from the memory until the laser can read CD again.
But if there is too much vicious vibration or shaking exerted on the player, the
player may malfunction and sound skipping is caused.
When this happens, place the player on a level table where no vibration will be
brought. Normal sound will resume immediately.
LOAD A DlSC
1. Open the CD door by the door open area.
2. Load a disc on the disc tray with the label side facing up.
3. Close the CD door.
PLAY A DlSC

1. Slide the Function switch to CDlMP3 position.
2. Follow the steps above to load a disc.

The player begins reading disc immediately the CD door is closed,
"READING" shows on the LCD.

When the disc is successfully read, TOC (total of contents) shows on the
LCD and playback starts with the first track automatically.

Press PlaylPause button pause to halt music playback, the elapsed time of
the current track flashes and an icon of "PAUSE" appears on the bottom of
the LCD to indicate the player in pause mode; press STOP button to stop
music playback. The LCD shows the TOC again with an icon "STOP' on the
bottom.
SKIP TRACKS AND SEARCH FOR A SPECIFIC POINT TO PLAY
1. Press once the SKIP/SEARCH up button in music play to skip to the next
track. To skip to a specific track ahead, press this button several times.
2. Press once the SKIPISEARCH down button in music play to skip to the
beginning of the current track. To skip to a specific track at back, press this
button several times.
3. Press +10 button once in play to skip to the track 10 tracks ahead, twice to
skip to the track 20 tracks ahead. You can reach the last track of the disc
using this button. Press this button again at the last track of disc to go to the
first track for playback.

Hold the SKIPISEARCH up button in music play to search at quick rate for a
specific point to play.
5.
Hold the SKIPISEARCH down button in music play to search at quick rate
for a specific point to play.
REPEAT A SINGLE TRACK
To repeat a preferred track in playback, press MODE button once, WEPT 1"
shows on the LCD

Then select the preferred track using SKIPISERCH buttons

or +10 button. The player will repeat the chosen track until you press STOP

REPEAT ALL TRACKS
To repeat all tracks, press MODE button twice in play mode, WEPT ALL' shows
on the LCD. The player will repeat all tracks until you press STOP button.

Introduction play is that the first ten seconds of each track are played in a
sequential order. Press MODE button three times to enter this mode during play,
"INTRO" shows on the LCD. Press PLAYIPAUSE button to begin introduction
play from Track NO.l. Press PLAYIPAUSE button to exit introduction play mode
and normal music play resumes. Press
SKIPISEARCH up button in introduction
mode to begin introduction play from the next track immediately after the current
track. Press
SKIPISEARCH down button in introduction mode to begin
introduction play from the current track.
RANDOM PLAY
Random play is that tracks on the disc are played by the player at random.
Press MODE button four times to enter this mode during play, "RANDOM"
shows on the LCD. Press PLAYIPAUSE button to begin random playback.
Tracks on the disc will be selected at random for playback and the player stops
automatically after all tracks are played. Press
SKIPISEARCH up button to
begin random playback when in random mode. Press MODE button once more
to exit random and return to normal playback from the track it's reached.
PROGRAMMED PLAY
Programmed play is that tracks on the disc can be edited for playback in a
preferred order with the use of PROGRAM button.
In CD stop mode, press PROGRAM button once,
"PROGn shows on the LCD
with a flickering "000" and the program sequence indication
"P-Olg, select the
first track to be programmed using SKIPISEARCH buttons or +10 button, and
press PROGRAM button again to store and advance to the next programming
step. The program sequence indication changes to "P-02" waiting for your next
input.
Repeat the steps above to program more tracks. A maximum of 20 tracks can
be programmed in memory in a preferred order.
Press PLAYIPAUSE button to begin programmed play in the preferred order
after you are done with programming. The player stops automatically after all
programmed tracks are played.
You may press STOP button to terminate programmed playback. Press
PLAYIPAUSE button to begin the programmed playback with the programming
order identical with the previous one done. In program stop mode, press STOP
button again to clear the programming.
You may press STOP button during programming to exit.
MP3-CD(WMA) PLAY BACK
This player is capable of MP3-CDs. It takes longer time for this player to read a
MP3-CD than it does CD-DA. Wait patiently while it is reading.
After a
MP3-CD is successfully read, the icon of "MP3" shows on the LCD
together with the total number of albums and tracks. And a second later,
playback begins from the first track of the first album automatically.
SKIP TRACKS AND SEARCH FOR A SPECIFIC POINT TO PLAY
1. Press once the SKIPISEARCH up button in music play to skip to the next
track. To skip to a specific track ahead, press this button several times.
2.
Press once the SKIPISEARCH down button in music play to skip to the
beginning of the current track. To skip to a specific track at back, press this
button several times.
3. Press +10 button once in play to skip to the track 10 tracks ahead, twice to
skip to the track 20 tracks ahead. You can reach the last track of the disc
using this button. Press this button again at the last track of disc to go to the
first track for playback.

Press the ALBUM button once during play, the album number flashes; select
the desired album using the
SKIPISEARCH buttons or the +10 button;
confirm this album selection with ALBUM button again, the track
number"000" flickers for your input; select the desired track of the chosen
album using the
SKIPISEARCH button or +10 button. Finally, press
PLAYIPAUSE button again to begin playing this chosen track.
NOTE: No fast forward and backward function during playing MP3 or WMA
disc.
REPEAT A SINGLE TRACK

flickers waiting for your selection. Choose the desired track with
SKIPISEARCH
buttons or +I0 button. Press PROGRAM button again to confirm the first
programming and advance to the next programming step. The program
sequence indication changes to 'P-02" waiting for your next input.
