BEFORE USING THE WASHING MACHINE
1. Remove the packaging and check
a. Cutandremovetheshrink-wrap.
b. Removethetopprotectionandtheprotective
corners.
c. Remove the bottom protection by tilting and
turning the washing machine on one rear
bottom corner. Make sure that the plastic
part of the bottom protection (if available on
the model) remains in the packing and not in
the machine bottom.
Thisisimportant,asotherwisetheplasticpartcould
damagethewashingmachineduringoperation.
d. Openthelidbypressingitslightlydownwhile
raisingthehandle.Removethepolystyrenecushion
(dependingonmodel).
e.Removetheblueprotectivefilmfromthepanel
(dependingonmodel).
• Afterunpacking,makesurethatthewashingmachine
isundamaged.Ifindoubt,donotusethewashing
machine.ContactAfter-SalesServiceoryourlocal
retailer.
• Keepthepackagingmaterials(plasticbags,
polystyreneparts,etc.)outofreachofchildren;
theyarepotentiallydangerous.
• Iftheappliancewasexposedtothecoldpriorto
delivery,keepitatroomtemperatureforafew
hoursbeforeoperating.
2. Remove the transport bracket
• Thewashingmachineisfittedwithtransport
screwsandatransportbrackettopreventdamage
duringtransport.Before using the washing
machine you must remove the transport
bracket(see“Installation”/“Removaloftransport
bracket”).
3. Install the washing machine
• Placethewashingmachineonaflatandstablefloor
surface.
• Adjust the feet to ensure that the machine
is stable and level (see “Installation”/“Adjust
the feet”).
• Incaseofwoodenorso-called“floatingfloors”(for
instancecertainparquetorlaminatefloors),place
theapplianceonasheetofplywoodwithasizeof
atleast40x60cmandthicknessofatleast3cm,
whichisscrewedtothefloor.
• Makesurethattheventilationopeningsinthe
baseofyourwashingmachine(ifavailableonyour
model)arenotobstructedbyacarpetorother
material.
4. Water supply
• Connectthewatersupplyinlethoseinaccordance
withtheregulationsofyourlocalwatercompany
(see“Installation”/“Connectthewaterinlethose”).
• Watersupply:Coldwateronly
• Tap:3/4”threadedhoseconnection
• Pressure:100-1000kPa(1-10bar).
• Onlyusenewhosesforconnectingthewashing
machinetothewatersupply.Usedhosesmustnot
beusedanymoreandshouldbediscarded.
5. Drain hose
• Firmlyconnectthedrainhosetothesiphonor
anotheroutletfordrainwater.(see“Installation”/
Connectthewaterdrainhose”).
• Ifthewashingmachineisconnectedtoabuilt-in
drainagesystem,ensurethelatterisequippedwith
aventtoavoidsimultaneousloadinganddrainingof
water(siphoningeffect).
6. Electrical connection
• Electricalconnectionsmustbecarriedoutby
aqualifiedtechnicianincompliancewiththe
manufacturer’sinstructionsandthecurrent
standardsafetyregulations.
• Thetechnicaldata(voltage,powerandfuses)are
givenontheratingplateontherearofthewashing
machine.
• Donotuseextensionleadsormultisockets.
• Accesstothemainsplugordisconnectionfrom
themainssupplyviaadouble-poleswitchmustbe
ensuredatalltimesaftertheinstallation.
• Donotoperatethewashingmachineifithasbeen
damagedduringtransport.InformtheAfter-Sales
Service.
• Mainscablereplacementisonlytobecarriedout
byAfter-SalesService.
• Thewashingmachinemustbeconnected
exclusivelybymeansofasocketwithanearth
connection,incompliancewiththeregulationsin
force.Inparticular,washingmachinesinstalledin
premisescontainingashowerorabathmustbe
protectedbyadifferentialresidualcurrentdevice
ofatleast30mA.Earthingthewashingmachine
isobligatoryunderthelaw.Themanufacturer
declinesallliabilityforinjurytopersonsoranimals
ordamagetopropertyderivingeitherdirectlyor
indirectlyfromfailuretoobservethedirectionsin
theseInstructionsforUse.
• Whenusingaresidualcurrentcircuitbreaker
(RCCB),onlyuseamodelmarkedwith .
