Lang EH is a device that can help you to replace the hinge assembly on the EH & ECOH Electric Half Size Convection Oven. It comes with all the necessary parts and instructions to make the replacement process easy and efficient.

With Lang EH, you can:

  • Remove the top door pin from the oven using a ½” socket.
  • Remove the door from the oven by lifting it up and away from the oven.
  • Remove the bottom door pin from the oven using a ½” socket.
  • Remove the top and bottom door hinge plate from the door by removing the Phillips head screw, and the two 3/32 Allen head screws from the hinge plate.
  • Install the new hinge plates, top and bottom, onto the door using 2 each 10-32 x ½” Phillip head screw.

EH & ECOH Hinge Replacment Instructions
Kit Q9-50313-030 provide the parts and instructions to replace the hinge assembly on the EH & ECOH Electric Half
Size Convection Oven. Read these instructions thoroughly prior to beginning.
IMPORTANT: Allow unit to cool prior to performing this procedure.
Follow these instructions and refer to the illustration on
the next page.
1. Disconnect oven from power and gas.
2. Remove the top door pin from the oven by using a ½”
socket.
3. Remove the door from the oven by lifting the door up
and away from the oven.
4. Remove the bottom door pin from the oven by using a
½” socket.
5. Remove the top and bottom door hinge plate from the
door by removing the Phillips head screw, and the two
3/32 Allen head screws from the hinge plate.
6. Install the new hinge plates, top and bottom (3) onto the
door using 2 each 10-32 x ½” Phillip head screw (8).
7. Remove the lower hinge bracket from the oven by removing the two 3/32 Allen head screws
and the single Phillip head screw.
8. Remove the old hinge mounting plate from under the oven behind the old hinge bracket.
9. Insert the new hinge mounting plate (9).
10. Attach the new bottom hinge bracket (2) using he two ¼-20 x ¾ Phillip screws (7).
11. Remove the top hinge bracket from the oven by removing the two 3/32 Allen head screws
and the single Phillip head screw. It may be necessary to leave one screw in place so that
the hinge mounting plate does not fall away.
12. Place the door onto the bottom hinge bracket (2).
13. Place the top hinge bracket (1) onto the top hinge plate (3).
14. Attach the top hinge bracket (1) to the oven using the two 10-32 x 1/2 “ Phillip head screw
(8).
15. Place top and bottom hinge covers (4) onto the top and bottom hinge brackets (1 & 2) using
the 10-32 x 1/2 “ Phillip head screw (8).
