Nucleus streams music

Nucleus: Connect the power supply to Nucleus and plug it in. Use
an ethernet cable to connect Nucleus to your router or switch.
Before you begin, it’s important to get all your
equipment connected and powered up.
Audio: Roon works with USB, HDMI, and networked audio devices.
Make sure all your audio devices are connected and powered on.
Storage: If you have music on a USB drive, or you store files on a
NAS, connect those devices to Nucleus or the network now.
Nucleus and Nucleus+ support an optional internal 2.5” hard
drive or SSD. To install one, see roonlabs.com/guide
Note:
Step 1: Plug in & turn on
The Roon Remote app (iOS & Android) and Roon
(Mac and Windows) are used to set up and control
Nucleus. Download them for the phones, tablets,
and computers you want to use with Nucleus.
Once all your devices – Nucleus, hard drives,
NAS, and audio equipment –are powered up
and connected to your network, launch Roon
or Roon Remote on your computer or mobile
device to start using Nucleus.
Step 2: Get control

Roon Remote is available for iOS
and Android devices. Download
it from your device’s app store.
Roon is available for Mac
and Windows. Download it
from the Roon Labs web site.
Once you have a Roon subscription, just log
in with your email address and password.
Note: To use Nucleus or Nucleus+ you need a
Roon account with a valid subscription. If you
don’t have one yet, you’ll be able to create an
account and purchase one during signup.
The Roon app will find Nucleus on your network
automatically. Connect to it to continue.

In order to build your personalized music
database, Roon needs to find your music files.
Experience streaming music like never before.
Roon will automatically find the audio devices
you connected in Step 1. Choose the ones you
want to use as zones.
Roon finds all your audio
devices connected to
Nucleus via USB, HDMI,
ethernet, and WiFi. Just
enable the devices you
want to use as zones.
Step 4: Set up
Roon asks where your
music files are stored.
You can add as many
folders on different
devices as you like.
