A. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing our Bluetooth Waterproof Speaker, and welcome to the

Ivation™ family. This user manual is meant to oer you a brief walkthrough of the

device’s features and usage protocols. We hope you ﬁnd this manual helpful. For

B. Important Instructions

1. Do not attempt to service product yourself.

Opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltages and/or

other hazards

2. Do not use product in excessively hot or excessively cold temperatures. Extreme

temperatures will lead to product damage and a decrease of battery capacity and

product durability

3. Keep product out of reach of children and animals

4. Do not use product close to other wireless devices or near heat sources

5. Do not expose product to ﬁre. Battery may explode, causing personal injury or

death

6. Use product at proper volume. Extremely high volumes can be harmful to your

hearing

7. Fully charge product before ﬁrst use, as well as after prolonged inactivity

F. Operation

Basics:

• To play music from any compatible device without connecting over Bluetooth

network, insert any standard 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable into input jack (part #8).

• To charge built-in lithium ion battery, connect included micro-USB cable to

charging port (part #9). Plug other end into computer USB port, or connect to

AC adapter and plug into wall outlet.

Power and Volume:

• Power on by pressing and holding > button for 4 seconds. Blue LED will flash 3

times and a single beep will sound.

• Power off by pressing and holding > button for 3 seconds. Red LED will go on,

then go off, and a single beep will sound.

• Adjust output volume by pressing + and – buttons.

Note: The volume levels of your connected device equally affect the possible volume

levels of the Bluetooth waterproof speaker. Ensure connected device’s volume is

adequately loud.

Bluetooth Pairing:

• Begin with the Bluetooth waterproof speaker in powered off mode.

• Press and hold > button for 7 seconds. Red and blue LEDs will flash alternatively

and two beeps will sound. Device is now in pairing mode.

• Turn on Bluetooth function on mobile device you wish to connect.

• When “BT-129” appears on your mobile device, select it and enter 0000 if

prompted.

• Blue LED will flash 4 times and two beeps will sound. Devices are now

connected.

Notes: If paring is not complete within 5 minutes, the Bluetooth waterproof speaker

will exit pairing

mode. Please repeat pairing steps. The Bluetooth waterproof speaker remembers

previously paired

devices, and will automatically connect to last connected device on power on.

A single beep will also sound.

Disconnecting:

• Power off the Bluetooth waterproof speaker by pressing and holding > button for

3 seconds, or disable Bluetooth function on your connected device.

Calling:

• Short-press > button to answer incoming call.

• Press and hold > button for 2 seconds to reject incoming call.

• Short-press > button to end active call, or simply hang up on connected phone.

• Short-press > button 2 times to redial last call.

Voice Dialing:

• Short-press + and > buttons simultaneously. A tone prompt for voice dialing will

sound.

Note: connected mobile phone must support voice-dialing feature.

Mute/Unmute:

• During an active call, press + and – buttons simultaneously to mute built-in

microphone. A single beep will sound to indicate success.

Note: While in Mute mode, two beeps will sound every 5 seconds. Press down +

and – buttons simultaneously a second time to unmute.

Music Playing:

• Once the Bluetooth waterproof speaker is connected to your mobile device via

Bluetooth, press > to begin music playback.

• Press > again to pause playback.

• Press and hold + button for 2 seconds to skip to next song.

• Press and hold – button for 2 seconds to go back to start of current song or to go

back to previous song

• Short-press + and - buttons to adjust speaker output volume.

Notes: Your connected mobile device must support this music player control feature.

Pair and connect your mobile device with the Bluetooth waterproof speaker before

using this feature. Incoming calls will pause music automatically, and speaker will

stream incoming call tone. Music will resume after call is done.

G. LED Status Indicator

• Powered On: Blue LED, Single Flash

• Powered Off: Red LED, On for Multiple Seconds, Then Off

• Pairing Mode: Alternating Red and Blue LEDs

• Pairing Successful: Blue LED, 4 Flashes (Along with two beeps)

• Standby Mode: Blue LED, Single Flash, 8-Second Intervals

• Bluetooth Disconnected: Red and Blue LEDs, Simultaneous Flash

• Music Playback: Blue LED, Single Flash, 8-Second Intervals

• Call Active: Blue LED, Single Flash, 8-Second Intervals

• Call Incoming: Red LED, Rapid Flashing

• Battery Low: Red LED, Single Flash, 30-Second Intervals (Along with triple beeps)

• Charging Mode: Red LED, On

• Charging Done: Red LED, Off

I. Troubleshooting

No/Low Sound:

• Check for adequate battery charge level

• Increase volume level by short-pressing + button

Distortion or White Noise:

• Move BoomBlock closer to connected mobile device

• Look for interference e.g. brick walls, nearby mobile devices

• Lower volume on speaker and/or on connected mobile device

• Check for adequate battery charge level

• Check integrity of music files on connected device

• Power off both speaker and mobile device, then power back on and reconnect

Unable to Pair with Bluetooth Device:

• Ensure that your mobile device is Bluetooth compatible

• Check for adequate battery charge level

• Power off both speaker and mobile device, then power back on and reconnect

Warning: Changes or modifications to unit other than those expressly approved by party

responsible for compliance could void user’s authority to operate this equipment.

Note: Clean device with dry, soft, lint-free cloth. Never use chemical agents or abrasive

cleaners on unit.
