1. Description of the product
LS701 laser detector is an indispensable accessory of rotating laser instrument. The two must be used
together. This detector not only can detect the position of the laser signals transmitted by the rotating laser
instrument, but also provide the horizontal references quickly and precisely.
This product is characterized by high sensitivity, single-faced LED display, low power consumption, good
reliability and easy manipulation. It can be used with different types of rotating laser.

After power on, the middle signal indicator turns green first and then turns red. After the
buzzer gives short reminding sound for two times, the unit will power off automatically. In
this case, it means that the battery voltage is seriously low and it is necessary to replace
the battery immediately to keep on using.
After power on, the down signal indicator flashes, which means that the battery is at low
voltage, and it is necessary to replace the battery in time.

3. Battery installation
(1) Open the battery cover-board and put the battery into the battery case according to the polarity shown in
the battery slot.
(2) Snap the battery cover-board back, and push it to the end along the two grooves.

(1) Take the battery out when the unit is not in use for a long time.

4. Detecting methods
(1) This unit can detect the red laser beam with a wavelength of 600nm～780nm.
(2) Set the rotating laser to the scanning state.
(3) Press key once, the middle signal indicator with short illumination turns red first and then turns green,
and meanwhile there is a lasting sound to remind that the instrument is ON. Then the instrument will enter
into the laser detecting state.

1. While detecting the horizontal laser liner, it is necessary to make the bubble vial centered, as the
deflection of the receiver will influence its receiving accuracy.

5. When the instrument cannot receive the laser signal for 6 minutes, and there is no any operation during
these 6 minutes, the middle signal indicator will turn green first and then turn red. Meanwhile, after the
buzzer gives short reminding sound for two times, the unit will power off automatically.

6. Maintenance
(1) Put the instrument back to the packing case in time after usage, and protect it from moisture while in
storage.
(2) Keep the instrument, particularly the detecting window clean. If there is dusty, using cloth and wipe clean
gently.
(3) Avoid knocking, and falling on the ground.
(4) This instrument doesn’t have the function of rainproof, so you should protect the unit from moisture and
avoid the unit sprayed by the water.
(5) Strictly prohibit throwing the instrument in the fire.
