Quick Start Guide
Rev 1.01
Quick Start Instructions:
1. Connect the B24 Dimmer to your DMX controller by using either the DMX three pin XLR input or the three pin
DMX input terminal block. DMX out can be either the three pin XLR output or the three pin terminal block output.
Note, there can only be a total of one DMX input, and one DMX output per device.
2. Connect your load to any of the 8 output blocks. Each block has 4 screw terminals (3 channels and V+
common). For single color LED tape with two connection wires, connect the V- (black) wire to any one of the
three output channel terminals and the V+ (red) wire to its corresponding terminal. When using three color LED
tape, connect the R,G,B positions as labeled on the device. Note*- The V+ (common) circuit for multicolor tape
will be connected to either a black or white wire. To determine which is correct, look at one of the sets of contacts
on the tape itself and note which color wire is connected to the one labeled (+). Do not exceed the maximum
load capacity of 3A per channel.
3. Connect the appropriate power supply providing 5-24VDC to the power input screw terminals. There are two
independent sets of terminals Chs 1-12, and Chs 13-24, and each set may be supplied with a different voltage
for use with dissimilar voltage tapes. Note*-The size of the power supply(s) must match the tape being used in
both voltage and watts. B24’s maximum output power rating is: 360W (5V), 864W (12V), and 1728W (24V).
4. In addition to setting DMX adresses,The 10 POS Multifunction DIP switch, allows you to perform several other
functions including Self Test and Two Stand Alone Effects. Set up instructions for these functions are as follows:

The B24 low voltage dimmer is ideal for
applications such as retail displays, signage and
general architectural work. It features 24 channels
of control in a compact IP20 (indoor) rated
enclosure. Ideal for 1,2 or 3 color LED tape
installations, it is fully DMX compatible and offers
two different stand alone functions. The B24
requires a separate power supply providing input
voltage of 5-24VDC. The Maximum current load
per channel is 3A with a maximum device output of
72A. Follow the steps below to get your B24 up and
running.
