This device can be cleaned under running water.
• Disconnectthehandheldpartfromthemainssupplybeforecleaningitin
water.

• Neverremoveanattachmentduringoperation!
• Donottrytorepairtheapplianceonyourown.Alwayscontactanautho-
rizedtechnician.Toavoidtheexposuretodanger,alwayshaveafaulty
cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a
qualified person and with a cable of the same type.
• Thisappliancecanbeusedbychildren aged from 8 years and above and
personswithreducedphysical,sensoryormentalcapabilitiesorlackofex-
perience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.

Charging the Unit
• Turntheunitoff.“OFF”canbeseenontheswitch.
• Connectthepoweradaptorconnectorwithoneofthe
following jacks.
• Thesocketdirectlyatthebottomendoftheunit.
• Alternativelyplacetheunitinthechargingstation.
The socket is at the rear.
• Plugthepoweradaptorintowalloutlet.
• Theindicatorlightremainsredduringthecharging
process.
NOTE:
• Thechargeindicatordoesnot indicate the state of
charge of the rechargeable battery.
• Meremainsoperationisnotpossible.
• Chargetheunitbeforerstusefor12hours.
• Afterinitialuse,donotchargethebatteryforlongerthan
12 hours at one time.

CAUTION:
After 12 hours always disconnect from mains power supply.
Note lifefime rechargeable battery
Youcanextentthelifetimeoftherechargeablebatteryby
following these steps:
• Onlychargeafterthebatteryisnearlyexhausted.
• Donotchargeformorethan12hours.
• Chargetheunitattemperaturesbetween0°and
+ 40°C.
Usage
Switching on and off
Slide the button (11) to turn the device on or off.
Putting on and taking off the attachments
WARNING:
Always switch the device off before you fit attachments or
accessories!
• Pushanattachmentontothedevice.Youmusthearit
click into place.
• Inordertoreleasetheattachmentfromthedevice,press
the button (12) and pull the attachment off.
• Pushacombattachmentontothemountedattachment.
It must click into place at the side.
• Combattachment(3)tohairtrimmerattachment(14)
• Combattachment(4)tobeardtrimmerattachment(8)
• Inordertoremovethecombattachment(3)fromthe
trimmer, push the comb attachment backwards at the
locking catches (13).
• Inordertoremovethecombattachment(4)fromthe
trimmer, use your thumb to press the comb attachment
upwards at the
symbol. Use your other hand to hold the
comb attachment.
Cut hair and beard
1. Attach the hair trimmer attachment (14) or the beard trim-
mer attachment (8) to the device.
2. Attach the respective comb attachment (3 or 4) to the
trimmer.
3. In order to adjust the desired cutting length, press and
slide the button on the comb attachment at the same
time. The length setting is shown on the right hand side
nexttothebutton.
4. Switch the device on.
5. Begin with the longest cutting setting and cut your hair in
stages to the desired length.

NOTE:
The cutting lengths can vary, depending on the cutting
technique.
6. Switch the device off before you remove the comb at-
tachment from the trimmer.
Outlining and Shaving the Neck
• Usethebeardtrimmerwithoutacombattachment.
• Theclipperheadallowspreciseoutliningtheshapeof
the beard, even in difficult to reach places as well as a
clean shaving of the hair-line at the neck.
Using the shaver attachment
The shaver attachment has been specifically designed for
close shaving on the beard, moustache and sideburns.
1. Attach the shaver attachment (7) to the device.
2. Switch the device on.
3. Hold the device in such a way that the shaver attachment
makes light contact with the face at a 45 degree angle.
Removing nasal hair / ear hair
WARNING: Risk of injury!
• Onlyremovehairprotrudingfromthenostril/earlobe.
• Neverpushthedeviceintothenostril/earlobeusing
force.
• Neverinsertthedeviceintothenostril/earlobefurther
than the narrow tip of the shaver head.
1. Attach the nasal hair / ear hair trimmer (6) to the device.
2. Switch the device on.
3. Carefully insert the tip of the shaver head into the nostril
or ear lobe and remove it again.
Finish Operation
Turnthedeviceoff.The“OFF”displayoftheswitchappears.

Cleaning and Maintenance
WARNING:
• Turnoffthedeviceanddisconnectthemainsadapter
from the mains supply when cleaning.
• Donotimmersethemainsadapterinwater!
CAUTION:
• Donotuseawirebrushorotherabrasives.
• Donotusesharporabrasivecleaningagents.
• Usethecleaningbrushtoremoveremaininghairafter
use.
• Cleanthecasingwithaslightlydampcloth,ifnecessary.
Shaver and trimmer attachments
• Removethecombattachmentsandtrimmers.
• Cleantheattachmentsunderwarmrunningwaterusing
the provided cleaning brush.
CAUTION:
Do not clean the shaving foil of the shaver with the
cleaning brush.
• Theshavingheadoftheshaverattachmentcanbere-
moved. Press the surfaces at the side of the shaving head
together and pull it off.
• Rinsetheshavingheadunderwarmrunningwater.
• Cleantheshavingbladeswiththecleaningbrush.
• Letthecleanedpartsdry.
• Thenre-attachtheshavingheadtotheshaverattach-
ment. It must click into place.
• Regularlyapply1–2dropsofnon-resinousandacid-free
oil to the shaving blades of the trimmer (7, 8, 14).
