Ergonomic cushion OL 350

Power supply

• Before connecting the device to your power supply, please

ensure that it is switched o and the supply voltage stated

on the rating plate is compatible with your mains supply.

• The device may only be operated with the supplied power

supply unit.

• Keep the power supply, cable and device away from heat,

hot surfaces, moisture and liquids.

• Do not touch the power supply if you are standing in water

or if your hands are wet or moist.

• Only plug the power supply unit into a freely accessible

socket.

• After use, always switch o the appliance and disconnect

the power supply using the button on the control unit.

• To disconnect the unit from the power supply, always un-

plug the power supply unit from the socket or disconnect

the power supply at connection

. Do not pull on cables!

• Never carry, pull or turn the device by the cable or power

supply.

• Make sure that no one can trip over the cable. Do not

bend, pinch or twist the cable.

For special people

• Do not use the device on children or persons who are

disabled, asleep or insensitive to heat (persons who can-

not react on overheating).

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years

and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or

mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if

they have been given supervision or instruction concern-

ing use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the

hazards involved.

• Children shall not play with the appliance.

• Children below the age of 3 years are not allowed to use

this device, because they are not able to react on over-

heating.

• If you wear a pacemaker, please be aware that the elec-

tromagnetic elds emanating from this electric product

may, under certain circumstances, interfere with the func-

tions of your pacemaker. Therefore, ask your doctor and

the manufacturer of the pacemaker for advice before us-

ing this product.

• If you have any health concerns, talk to your doctor be-

fore use.

Operating the device

• Only use the device for its intended use as in the instruc-

tion manual.

• If misused, all guarantee rights shall become null and void.

• The device is suitable for indoor use only.

• Before each use, carefully check the article for signs of

wear and/or damage. Do not operate the appliance if you

notice wear, damage or signs of improper use.

• If an error occurs, check that the power supply is properly

established. Do not open the unit. There are no user-ser-

viceable parts inside the unit.

• Use the product only in the correct location as described

in this manual.

• The device is not suitable for commercial or medical use

(e.g. in hospitals).

• Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids.

• If liquid does enter the device, disconnect the power sup-

ply immediately.

• Do not use the device in a wet environment (e.g. in the

bathroom or similar).

Troubleshooting

If there is no function AT ALL after switching on, please check

whether the power supply is correctly established. If this is

the case, the device is defective. Please do not use the de-

vice and contact the service center.

Cleaning and maintenance

• Before cleaning, disconnect the power supply and allow

the appliance to cool down for at least 10 minutes.

• The cover is removable and hand washable (soak in mild

soap and cold water for 15 minutes, then rinse in fresh,

cold water).

• May not be bleached, ironed or dry cleaned!

• Do not use the article again until it is completely dry.

• Untwist the cable if it is twisted.

• Store the unit in a clean and dry place, laid out at with

nothing covering or resting on top of it.

Disposal

This product must not be disposed of together with

domestic waste. All users are obliged to hand in all

electrical or electronic devices, regardless of whe-

ther or not they contain toxic substances, at a muni-

cipal or commercial collection point so that they can be dis-

posed of in an environmentally acceptable manner. Consult

your municipal authority or your dealer for information about

disposal.

Scope of supply

Please check rst of all that the device is complete and is not

damaged in any way. In case of doubt, do not use the it and

contact your dealer or your service centre.

If you notice any transport damage during unpacking, please

contact your dealer without delay.

Operating

1. Connect the power supply unit to connection

2. Place the seating area of the cushion on a chair. The lum-

bar support

can be adjusted in height according to your

wishes and it can also be turned 180 degrees, depending

on how you feel most comfortable.

3. Press the On/O switch

to turn on the power. The heat

will turn on at the highest or last used level.

4. By pressing the heat button

you can switch between

heat levels 1, 2 or 3. After 120 minutes the device swit-

ches o automatically.

5. To switch o the unit manually, press the On/o switch

Please ensure that the polythene packing is kept

away from the reach of children!

Warranty and repair terms

Please contact your dealer or the service centre in case of

a claim under the warranty. If you have to return the unit,

please enclose a copy of your receipt and state what the

defect is. The following warranty terms apply:

1. The warranty period for medisana products is three

years from date of purchase. In case of a warranty claim,

the date of purchase has to be proven by means of the

sales receipt or invoice.

2. Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free

of charge within the warranty period.

3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty

period either for the unit or for the replacement parts.

4. The following is excluded under the warranty:

a. All damage which has arisen due to improper

treatment, e.g. non-observance of the user instructions.

b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the

customer or unauthorised third parties.

c. Damage which has arisen during transport from the

manufacturer to the consumer or during transport to

the service centre.

d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.

5. Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused

by the unit are excluded even if the damage to the unit is

accepted as a warranty claim.

• If the power supply cable or the power supply is damaged,

it may only be replaced by medisana, an authorised deal-

er or by qualied personnel in order to avoid hazards.

• When storing the appliance, allow it to cool down before

storing it.

• Do not place any objects on top of the item during storage

to avoid sharp kinks.
