Safety Information
To properly operate and enjoy your camera to the fullest, please read and understand
all safety and warning information before using.
Do not expose your camera to direct sunlight or point the lens directly to the sun. This
may damage the image sensor and degrade the device’s overall performance.
Take care of your camera by keeping it free of water, sand, dust, salt or chemical
materials that can be damaging.
Keep your camera in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location. Extreme temperatures (hot
or cold) and/or humidity can affect the camera’s functionality.
Properly clean the camera lens regularly, without scratching, by first blowing off any
sand or dust on the surface and then clean it with a soft, clean, dry cloth suitable for
use with optical equipment. If the camera or lens gets stained or dirty, use a soft,
clean, dry cloth to gently wipe it clean. If needed, you may clean the camera with a
cleanser but do not use any organic solutions or solvents.

When using a memory card for the first time, make a back-up of the data before
formatting the card.
The Micro SD card is a sensitive electronic component. In order to prevent data loss or

1. Improper use of the memory card.
2. Bending, puncturing or throwing the card.
3. High temperatures, humidity or direct sunlight.
4. Electrostatic or electromagnetic fields nearby.
5. Removing or interfering with the memory card while it is in use in the camera or

Use and Care of Waterproof Case
Before sealing the waterproof case, make sure the camera housing’s rubber seal is
clean. A single hair or grain of sand can cause the case to leak.
Test the case by closing it without inserting the camera. Submerse the case completely
in water for about a minute. Remove the case from the water, dry off the exterior with
a towel and open the case. If the interior is completely dry, the case is safe for use
under water.
Remember to set the Mode Switch to your desired recording mode before inserting
the camera in the waterproof case. The case does not have an external button for
switching recording modes.
Always rinse the exterior of the waterproof housing with fresh water after using your
camera in salt water. Not doing this can eventually cause corrosion of the hinge pin
and salt buildup in the seal, which can cause the case to fail.
To clean the seal, rinse in fresh water and shake dry (drying with a cloth may cause lint
that can compromise the seal). Re-install the seal into the grooves in the backdoor of
the housing.
