Battery Care
To get the best out of the battery, fully charge and use until at for the rst 5-6
times. Then use until at and fully charge at least once a month.
Prolonged storage without charge may cause damage to the battery and result in
poor to no charge. It is recommended you fully charge the battery every 6 months
for long term storage to keep the battery in good condition.

Checking The Adaptor
Adaptor Information
Before using a USB mains adaptor please check the “Output”
information on the plug face label.
For This device 5V/1A or 5V/1000mAh is the maximum output
required to charge the battery. Using a stronger output can damage
the battery and/or product.
Please note:
Tablets and some large smart phones use 2.1A or 2100mAh outputs and above.

Charging
Open the larger dust cover to reveal the micro USB charge port.
Connect the charge cable (supplied) to the micro USB port and the
other end to a PC/Laptop USB port or an appropriate USB mains
adaptor that is no greater the 5V/1A (see page 5). A red LED will
light up in the empty USB port when the unit is on charge.
A complete charge will take approximately 4 hours. The red LED
will turn off when it is complete.
Warning:
Using a USB mains adaptor can cause damage to the speaker.
This is to ensure correct charging and longevity of the speaker.
Use On Connected Power.
It is possible to use all the speaker’s functions while the speaker is
connected to a power source.

Installation
The speaker will clamp on to most parasol shafts.
The clamp diameter supports 20mm to 52mm sized parasol shafts.
Fitting The Speaker
Press the base of the clip where is says ‘PUSH’ to release the catch
and open the speaker.
Place the speaker at the top of
the parasol shaft and close the
speaker, making sure the clip
locks onto place. The ns will
grip the parasol’s shaft and stop
the speaker from sliding down.
Please Note:
Do not force the speaker closed as this
can cause damage to the speaker.

Turning The Speaker On
A quick press on the ‘On/Off/ button will turn the speaker on. You
will hear and audio alert “Power on.”.
Turning the Speaker Off
Hold the ‘On/Off’ button for 3 seconds. You will hear the audio alert
“Power off.”.

Pairing
Once the speaker has been turned on it will automatically go into
pairing mode. Turn on the bluetooth on the device that you want to
pair with the speaker. Search for ‘MAXTEK’ on available devices list
and select it. The device will automatically pair with the speaker.
There is no security code for this device.
Once a device has been paired to the speaker it will automatically
re-pair if the device is available.

Please use a compatible music player app on the device to play
through the speaker. All the controls for the music including volume
are on the app you are using.

Using The LED Lights
By pressing the button you can cycle through the LED light
options. These are: Constant, Party Mode, and Off.
Constant LED
This mode will provide 3W of constant white LED light.
Party Mode
This mode will enable up to 7 different coloured LEDs to ash with
the music that is played through the speaker. All the patterns are
random and reactive to the music and will strobe in some cases.

Open up the dust cover to reveal the controls and USB ports.
Connect one end of devices manufacturers cable to the powerbank
USB port and the other to the device itself. The speaker must be
turned on to start charging your device.

Warranty
This product is warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and parts for a period of 36 months
from the date of purchase. Defects that occur within this warranty period, under normal use and care,
will be repaired, replaced or refunded at our discretion, solely at our option with no charge for parts and
labour. The benets covered by this warranty are in addition to all rights and remedies in respect of the
product the consumer has under existing U.K. laws.
