PS80555E QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE

STARTING THE UNIT (COLD START) USING DETERGENT

Install the handle (see page 7).

Completely uncoil garden hose or remove

completely from reel to prevent kinks.

Turn water faucet on fully.

Make sure there are no leaks.

With no nozzle installed, squeeze the trigger

to relieve air pressure. Hold the trigger until a

steady stream of water appears.

Add fuel (see page 10).

Push choke in to the START position (see page 10).

Slide the lock button down and push the engine

switch to the START position. Engine can also be

started by pulling the recoil starting grip until the

engine runs. (See page 10)

Turn the fuel valve to OPEN (see page 10).

Push in at the top of the switch to turn engine ON

(see page 10).

Allow engine to run for several seconds, then pull

choke out until it clicks into RUN position (see

page 10).

NOZZLE SELECTION GUIDE

Use of soap nozzle will activate soap injector at a 20:1 dilution ratio.

WARNING! Never use bleach or solvent-based detergent.

• Will damage your pump

• Will void your warranty

• Will damage plants/shrubs

BEFORE STORING THE UNIT

Always add Pump Protector to the unit after each use and before storing. This will significantly

improve pump life. (See page 13)

Pump Protector is available from your local retailer. For further assistance, call customer service at

To add, follow the instructions provided by the Pump Protector manufacturer.

Use the chart below to determine the correct nozzle for your job.

Turn the fuel valve to OFF before adding

lubricant.

Set unit on flat surface so engine is level.

Remove dipstick, wipe clean, put back in hole

(but don’t screw in) and check lubricant level.

This is a 4-cycle engine. Do not mix fuel and

lubricant together.

Mix fuel stabilizer with gasoline according to

manufacturer’s directions prior to filling the

tank.

RESTARTING THE UNIT

(HOT RESTART)

If the engine does not start after each pull of the

starter grip and rope or after the engine switch

is moved to the START position, squeeze the

trigger to relieve water pressure before attempt-

ing to start the engine again.

If the engine does not start:

• check for enough fuel;

• may need to adjust choke position;

• try starting again.

Connect the high pressure hose to the trigger handle

(see page 7).

Connect your garden hose to the pressure washer

(see page 8).

DO NOT OVERTILT THE UNIT!

Push the engine switch to the START position or

pull recoil starter to start (see page 10).

Do not use E15 or E85 fuel in this prod-

uct. It is a violation of federal law and will

damage the unit and void your warranty.

Only use unleaded gasoline containing

up to 10% ethanol.

Connect the high pressure hose to the pump

(see page 7).

Completely uncoil and straighten high pressure

hose to prevent kinks.

FUEL VALVE (OPEN)

DETERGENT

Remove the cap from the plug on the battery.

Connect the starter cable on the pressure washer

to the connection port on the battery, making sure

the plug is fully seated.(See page 7)

NOTE: Fully charge the battery prior to use (see

page 15).

CHOKE (RUN)

Connect the spray wand to the trigger handle

(see page 7).

Your pressure washer has been performance

tested to ensure high quality standards are met.

There may be residual water in the pump

and/or lubricant in the engine.

Pour all but 2 oz. of the provided lubricant into the

engine through the oil fill hole. Check and add ad-

ditional lubricant as needed until the level reaches

the upper portion of the hatched area on the dipstick.

Do not overfill. (See page 9).

Conecte la manguera de alta presión a la bomba

Instale el mango (vea la página 7).

Vierta todo el lubricante provisto, excepto 60 ml

(2 oz), en el motor por medio del orificio de llenado

de aceite. Verifique si debe agregar más lubricante

y hágalo según sea necesario hasta que el nivel

alcance la parte superior del área de rayado de

la varilla. No lo llene en exceso. (Vea la página 9).

Quite la tapa del puerto de conexión de la batería.

Conecte el cable de arranque de la lavadora a presión

al puerto de conexión de la batería, asegúrandose de

que enchufe quede bien colocado. (Vea la página 7)

NOTA: Cargar la batería antes de su uso (vea la

página 16).

Desenrolle completamente la manguera de

jardín o quítela completamente del carrete para

evitar la formación de acodaduras.

Abra completamente el grifo.

Asegúrese de que no haya pérdidas.

Sin ninguna boquilla instalada, oprima el gatillo

para liberar la presión del aire. Mantenga

oprimido el gatillo hasta que aparezca un

chorro constante de agua.

Agregue combustible (vea la página 10).

Retire del anegador de la posición ARRANQUE

(vea la página 11).

Deslice el botón del seguro abajo y presione el

interruptor del motor en la posición ARRANQUE. El

motor también puede arrancar tirando del mango del

arrancador retráctil hasta que comience a funcionar

el motor. (Vea la página 11)

Gire la válvula de combustible a posición ABIERTO

(vea la página 11).

Presione en la parte superior del interruptor para

encender el motor (vea la página 11).

Espere que el motor ande por varios segundos, luego

corra el anegador hasta que quede en la posición de

funcionamiento (RUN) (vea la página 11).

El uso de la boquilla para jabón activará el inyector de jabón con una razón

de dilución de 20:1.

Gire la válvula de combustible a OFF (apagado)

antes de agregar aceite.

Ubique la unidad sobre una superficie plana

para que el motor esté nivelado. Quite la varilla

para medir el nivel de aceite, límpiela, vuelva

a colocarla en el orificio (pero no la enrosque) y

verifique el nivel de lubricante.

Este es un motor de cuatro tiempos. No mezcle

el lubricante y el combustible.

Mezcle el estabilizador de combustible con

la gasolina, siguiendo las instrucciones del

fabricante, antes de llenar el tanque.

REARRANQUE DE LA UNIDAD

(ARRANQUE EN CALIENTE)

Si el motor no arranca luego de cada tirón del

mango del arrancador y cuerda o una vez que

el interruptor del motor se mueva a la posición

ARRANQUE, oprima el gatillo para liberar la

presión del agua antes de volver a intentar

arrancar el motor.

Si el motor no arranca:

• verifique que haya combustible suficiente;

• puede que necesite ajustar la posición del anegador;
