GENERAL RULES
The furnace will draw perfectly if the chimney is cleaned and free of obstructions and sharp edges. In the event of
displacement of the axis, there must be a slope of not more than 45º against the vertical line, and preferably only 30º.
CHIMNEY CLEANING IS RECOMMENDED ONCE A YEAR
In relation to requirements (regarding chimneys, clearance and positioning), the clearances in the following table must
be observed:
Roof slope Roof and chimney clearance Minimum chimney height measured from the roof to the chimney top
α
Clearance in meters Height in meters
15 º Under 1.85 m
Over 1.85 m
0.50 m over the top

Over 1.20 m
0.50 m over the top
2.60 m from the roof
POSITIONING
It is recommended to unpack the furnace only after it is placed at its designated spot.
Position the furnace very close to the pope leading to the chimney. While positioning the furnace, direct yourself toward
the flue pipe opening.
In the event that surrounding walls and flooring are not heat resistant, provide appropriate protective insulation made of
noncombustible material.
The furnace is placed at minimum safety clearance from the walls of about 30 cm. If the height of ceilings made of
combustible material (e.g. wood) is lower than 2 meters, such ceilings must be protected with insulating material.
If the flue pipe runs through the ceiling, it must be properly insulated it with noncombustible material.
CONNECTING FLUE PIPES TO THE CHIMNEY
The furnace and flue pipes must be connected in such way to ensure that the chimney draws properly and to prevent
formation of condensate in the pipes.
At any rate, it is important that the flue pipe inlet is perfectly sealed.
In the event of insufficient sealing, air penetrates into the flue pipe and causes the furnace to draw less and also
causes the furnace glass door to blacken very quickly.

If the furnace draws insufficiently when starting the fire for the first time, check whether the chimney is blocked with
pieces of mortar, bird’s nests etc. Additionally, furnace and flue pipe connection must be properly set, according to
instructions and without clogging any elements and it must be properly sealed. If the furnace draws insufficiently after a
longer period of normal operation, the chimney should be checked and cleaned (if this could not be done before the
furnace was installed).
Flue pipe must be positioned at a straight angle toward the furnace.
GENERAL WARNINGS
During operation, the furnace becomes very heated, particularly its upper part, the lid and the door. For that purpose,
only adults informed about the handling of the furnace can load fuel in the furnace. Therefore it is preferable to keep
away children and persons who are not able to operate the furnace.
Liquid fuels, alcohol, gasoline, fuel oil etc. can never and on no account be used.
Never use fire starting materials containing oil or other chemical products, because they can damage the furnace walls.
Never burn painted wood and always use only environmentally friendly material to start a fire. Never use the furnace if
you notice it does not operate properly. Clean the furnace until it is completely cools down.
FIRST USE
When starting the fire for the first time, make a moderate fire for about one hour, which enables full combustion of any
blockages in the wall on the connection, as well as drying of protective materials on the metal parts.
When starting the fire for the first time, unpleasant odor may develop and the furnace may smoke due to complete
drying or evaporation of materials used for manufacturing. This will last for couple of days and then completely stop.
Start the fire as follows: place wrinkled paper inside the furnace and cover it with thin dry kindling to make a
fire,
Completely open the primary air regulator to ensure combustion, as shown in Fig. 2. In the event that the
furnace is cold, start the fire with the door ajar, but never closed. This enables evaporation of the condensate
formed on the glass.
Then, light the paper.
When the paper is lit, larger pieces of wood can be placed, provided that the wood is dry, until the furnace is
filled with desired quantity of wood.
When the wood is on fire, shut the door to optimize operation of the furnace and wood consumption.
After the flames are out and hot fragments are formed, feed a standard quantity of wood into the furnace.
Gradually open the door to ensure that smoke from the furnace is drawn into to chimney and prevented from
entering the room.
Sl.2
TYPE OF FUEL
It is best if you use beech tree, preferably well dried.
It is good to know that each kind of wood has a heating potential that affects the results of combustion. Regardless of
the kind of wood you wish to use, remember that it must be chopped to ensure evaporation of moisture from the wood.
This will prevent the level of heat necessary to set fire to firewood.
Note: overfilling the furnace can cause anomalies which can lead to deformations of the furnace’s interior cast iron
elements.
IF DEFORMATIONS OCCUR IF THE FURNACE IS OVERFILLED OR COAL IS USED, THE WARRANTY WILL NOT
BE VALID AND REPAIRS WILL BE MADE AT USER’S EXPENSE.

ADJUSTING COMBUSTION
Primary combustion is developed when air enters the furnace, which is adjusted using primary air regulator located at
the front of the ash pan door (Fig. 2).
If you need faster combustion, turn the primary air regulator RIGHT (all apertures opened) and if you want to slow
down combustion, turn the primary air regulator LEFT (all apertures partially closed).
When starting the fire for the first time during daytime and when using wet wood, it is recommended to set the device to
an open position. When the fire starts to burn, adjust the primary air regulator as necessary or in line with firewood
consumption.
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Please bear in mind that your furnace is not intended for burning waste.
While the furnace is in operation, the door must be kept closed at all times. At a small distance above the furnace door,
there is an opening used for cleaning of the glass, which enables air to enter inside the furnace.
ATTENTION
When the furnace is in operation and before loading the firewood, open the door in two steps: first slowly and partially
open the door (no more than 3 cm) to ensure that smoke is drawn into the chimney, after which the door can be
opened completely, but slowly, to prevent any hot fragments from falling out.
ASH PAN at the bottom of the furnace must be cleaned on a daily basis after the furnace has cooled down. This will
prevent the pan from filling, which would block the passage of air.
GLASS on the DOOR can be cleaned only when the furnace is cold, using a wet cloth or newspaper dipped in ashes.
Clean the parts covered with dirt until they are fully clean. Ordinary kitchen detergents can also be used. Do not clean
the glass while the furnace is working, because this is dangerous! Under normal conditions, the glass turns black when
the fire is started, which disappears during operation.
ATTENTION
Glass ceramics is resistant to high temperatures, but it can be broken due to thermal shock or strong impact and
should not be exposed to impacts.
CERAMIC LINING is cleaned using mild detergent and wet cloth. Do not wet warm surfaces with cold water because
this could cause thermal shock and irreparable damage. Cracks which may be visible on the surface of metal sheets
are caused by normal heat expansion occurring during normal operation of the furnace. These cracks DO NOT
AFFECT furnace operation in any way.
TO ENSURE LONG SERVICE LIFE OF THE FURNACE, IT IS IMPORTANT TO
Occasionally clean the entire furnace
Occasionally clean the flue pipe and remove any deposits
Empty the ash pan located at the bottom of the furnace and remove any ash
Once a year clean the chimney. This prevents formation of deposits, or otherwise, at high temperatures
deposits may catch fire, the effects of which on the chimney and the house are apparent.
WHAT TO DO IF THE FURNACE IS NOT WORKING
Difficulties in starting the fire
- Open the primary air and smoke device
- Use well dried firewood
- Check whether the flue pipes are well sealed,
- Check the draft in the chimney
- Check whether ashes and combustion residues have blocked the exhaust ducts or the grate
Glass gets dirty quickly
- Wet firewood: use dry firewood (15% of relative humidity)
- Check whether ashes and combustion residues have blocked the exhaust ducts or the grate
- Inappropriate firewood
- Furnace does not draw sufficiently (check the connection and chimney)
- Adjustments are not properly made: if secondary air inlet is closed, the glass gets dirty quickly
Condensation is found inside combustion chamber
- When starting the fire for the first several times, condensation is normal, considering that the materials with
which the furnace is lined contain moisture
- Check whether the chimney is oversized and whether the flames are unable to heat it to the top

HANDLING AND TRANSPORT INFORMATION
When relocating the furnace, special care should be taken to keep the furnace balanced and therefore avoid sudden
moves.
Before moving the furnace in any way, check the forklift’s capacity to carry the weight of the furnace: operator will be
responsible for lifting the weight.
Make sure that children do not play with parts of the packaging, due to possible injury.
IDENTIFICATION LABEL
Identification label is attached at the back or bottom of the furnace and contains the serial number which must be
specified in any request made.
