GENERAL SAFETY RULES
WARNING: Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all
instructions listed below may result in serious injury.
CAUTION: Do not allow persons to operate or assemble this Tandem Disc
until they have read this manual and have developed a thorough understanding of
how the Tandem Disc works.
WARNING: The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this
instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions or situations that could
occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are
factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
WORK AREA
Keep work area clean, free of clutter and well lit. Cluttered and dark work areas can
cause accidents.
Keep children, bystanders and pets away while operating the Tandem Disc.
Distractions can cause you to lose control, so visitors should remain at a safe
distance from the work area.
Be aware of all power lines, electrical circuits, water pipes and other mechanical
hazards in your work area, particularly those hazards below the work surface hidden
from the operator’s view that may be unintentionally contacted and may cause
personal harm or property damage.
Be alert of your surroundings. Using the Tandem Disc in confined work areas may
put you dangerously close to cutting tools and rotating parts.

PERSONAL SAFETY
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when using the
Tandem Disc. Do not use the Tandem Disc while you are tired or under the influence
of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating an Tandem
Disc may result in serious personal injury.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing, dangling objects, or jewelry. Keep your
hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair
can be caught in moving parts.
Use safety apparel and equipment. Use safety goggles or safety glasses with side
shields which comply with current national standards, or when needed, a face shield.
Use a dust mask when needed.
TANDEM DISC USE AND CARE
Do not modify the Tandem Disc in any way. Unauthorized modification may impair
the function and/or safety and could affect the life of the equipment. There are
specific applications for which the Tandem Disc was designed.
Always check for damaged or worn out parts before using the Tandem Disc.
Broken parts will affect the Tandem Disc operation. Replace or repair damaged or
worn parts immediately.
Check all nuts/bolts for tightness to be sure the Tandem Disc is in safe operating
condition.
Read the assembly and operating instructions in this manual carefully.
Only use the Tandem Disc for its intended use.
Never allow children to operate the equipment. Only allow responsible adults,
who are familiar with the instructions, to operate this equipment.
Keep hands, feet and body out from under the Tandem Disc at all times. Do not
stand or ride on the Tandem Disc at any time.
Stop the towing vehicle if anyone or anything enters the area.
Exercise extreme caution when changing direction on slopes. Do not operate
across slopes, up and down only. Do not attempt to operate on steep slopes.
Beware of hidden underground objects. Contact with hidden objects might cause
sudden stop of towing vehicle and damage to the Tandem Disc.
Do not operate the vehicle at speeds higher than 10 MPH and use care when
backing up.
Do not load or unload the towing vehicle with the Tandem Disc attached to the
towing vehicle.

ASSEMBLY
Step 1:
Assemble the two disc gang assemblies as shown in diagram.
Note: The diagram shows each item number as it is assembled onto the Square
Axle Weldment. Tighten Lock Nut so all discs are tight on Square Axle Weldment.
Install nuts on U-bolt. Do not tighten at this time and leave space for installing
Support Bar.

Step2:
Assemble Frame 2, 3, 4, 5, into Frame 1 using the bolts and lock nuts.
NotePosition of the four frames should be as shown below. The long end of the
two tubes in frame 1 should be downwards.

Step 3:
Install the Mesh as below diagram shows.

Step 4:
Install Wheel bracket, Screw Rod Assembly, Adjusting Rod, Link 1 and 2 as below
diagram shows.
Note: Do not over tighten bolts screws.
Grease fitting.
Grease fitting.
Lubricate every surface
when installing.

Step 5:
Locate Disc Gang Parts below the main body frame, then install the Support Bar
into the U-bolt, tighten lock nuts on U-bolts.
Note: Install the two Disc Gang Assemblies onto the Frame in the opposite
direction. Tighten the U-bolts onto the support bar.
The Disc is now fully assembled.
Disc angles are adjustable for desired harrow/soil preparation.
Please pay attention to the installation
direction of two Disc Gang assemblies.
Need to be in opposite directions.

SETUP AND OPERATION OF THE TANDEM DISC
Setup
1. Measure the height of the 2 hitch ball. Then rotate the handle on #13 Adjusting Rod
to adjust the 2 ball coupler to the same height.
2. Back up the towing vehicle so the coupler is connected to the hitch ball, then put
down the handle to secure the coupler.
Operation
Crank the handle on top of #29 the Screw Rod, to lower the tandem disc to the ground,
and raise the tires off ground.
If the tandem disc does not perform to a desired level, rotate the handle on #13
Adjusting Rod to adjust the height of Tandem Disc Frame to make sure the front discs
and rear discs are level.
Its ready now to work on your wildlife food plots, small gardens, row cultivation, yard,
etc.
TROUBLESHOOTING
POSSIBLE CAUSE AND SOLUTION
Worn discs, you need to replace discs.
Tires too low, please raise tires.
STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
Storage Thoroughly clean off any dirt prior to storage. Store the tandem disc on a
level location to ensure its stability and safety preventing it from rolling on its own.
Coat the discs with grease or other rust inhibitor (paint) when storing the tandem disc
after a season.
Maintain your Tandem Disc. It is recommended that the general condition of any
Tandem Disc be examined before it is used. Keep your Tandem Disc in good repair
by adopting a program of conscientious repair and maintenance. If any abnormal
vibrations or noise occurs, have the problem corrected before further use. Have
necessary repairs made by qualified service personnel.
