A. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Installthisdeviceonlywhenitcomplieswithlocal/nationallegislation,by-lawsand
standards.
Thisproductisintendedtobeusedforroomheatinginresidentialhousesandis
onlysuitableforuseindrylocationsinnormalhouseholdsituations,indoorsinliv-
ing room, kitchen and garage. Do not install the stove in bedrooms or bathrooms.
Correctinstallationofthisstoveisextremelyimportantforproductperformance
andyourpersonalsafety.Therefore:
• ThisheatermustbeinstalledbyabyZibroauthorizedheatingandinstallation
engineer.ThewarrantycanonlybeeffectivewhenitisinstalledbyabyZibro
agreed professional. The instructions for use given in this manual may vary
fromlocaland/orregionallegislation.Whenthisisthecasethemoststringent
conditionisapplicable.Anyresponsibilityincasesofinstallationnotcomply-
ingtolocallegislationandregulationand/orincaseofincorrectairventila-
tionand/orinappropriateuseisexplicitlydeclinedbythemanufacturerand
distributor.
• Thestovemustonlybeinstalledinaroomwherethelocation,thebuilding
construction and the use of the room do not interfere with safe operation of
the stove.
Alwayscontactyourdealerorinstallerimmediatelyincaseyouexperienceproblems
withyourstoveorwhenyouhavedifcultyreadingorunderstandingthismanual.
Burningpelletsneedsoxygen,thusair.Ensuretoallowsufcientfreshairtoenter
the room. Per hour an additional 50 m3 air is needed above the normal ventilation
requirementfortheroom.Alwayshaveafreshairinlettotheroomwithasection
of at least a quarter of the section of the exhaust flue, with a minimum of 100 cm2.
Itmightbenecessarytoshutoffmechanicalventilation,laundrydryingmachine
and/or kitchen extraction hoods as this might negatively inuence the draught
needed for the stove.
• Useproperequipmenttotransportthestove.Usingnotadequateequipment
mightleadtopersonalinjuriesand/ordamagetothestove.
• Donotplaceanyinammableobjectsand/ormaterialswithin200mm.ofthe
sides and back of the stove and not within 800 mm to the front of the stove.
• Thestoveisdesignedforfreestandingandisnotsuitableforbuild-in.Keep
200mmclearancebetweenwallsandside/backofthestove.(Seepicture1)
• When the oor is made of inammable material, place the stove on a re
proofbaseplate.Thecoveredareabythereproofbaseplateneedstobe400
mm. larger to the front of the unit and needs to be 200 mm. larger measured
from the sides of the unit (see picture 1, dimensions D and E)
• Incasethewallsaremadeoutofinammablematerialsmakesuretohave
sufcientdistancefromside/backofstovetothewall.Makesurethateven

at highest stoking rate the wall temperature can never exceed 80°C. In case of
doubt a fire proof protective plate must be placed.
• Thesurfaceofthestovecanbecomeveryhotwheninuse.NEVERleavechil-
drenunattendedwiththestove.Childrenshouldbesupervisedtoensurethey
donotplaywiththestove.
• Thisstoveisnotintendedforusebyperson(includingchildren)withreduced
physical,sensoryormentalcapabilities,orlackofexperienceandknowledge,
unlesstheyhavebeengivensupervisionorinstructionconcerninguseofthe
appliancebyapersonresponsiblefortheirsafety.
• Thesurfaceof the stovecanbecomeveryhotwheninuse.Useappropriate
–heat proof- personal protection such as heat protective gloves when operat-
ing the stove.
• Takecarewhen(re-)llingthestovehopperwithpelletswhenthestoveis(still)
hot. Make sure the pellets-bag cannot catch fire.
• Takecarewithinammableclothes,asclothesmightcatchrewheninclose
range with the fire inside the stove.
• Donotworkwithinammablesolventsinthesameroomaswherethestove
is working. Avoid risk, remove inflammable solvents and combustible materials
from the room.
• Thestoveisheavy,havethestrengthoftheoorcheckedbyanauthorized
expert.
• Onlyusedrywoodpelletsofgoodqualitywithnoresidualsofglue,resinor
additives. Diameter 6 mm. maximum length 30 mm. All conform DIN+ standard
and/orÖ-normstandard.
• Bad,wet,orimpregnatedpelletswillleadtoformationofcondensationand/
orsootinthechimneyorinthereplaceitself.Resultinginlowerperformance
and possible dangerous situations. Follow the requirements as set out in chap-
ter D12.
• Havethechimneycleanedandsweptregularlyfollowingthelocallegislation
andoryourinsuranceprescription.Ifnolocallegislationand/orinsurancepre-
scription:makesurethatatleasttwiceperyear(rsttimeatthebeginningof
theheating season),yourentirestovesystem-includingchimney-ischecked
andmaintainedbyanauthorizedspecialist.Whenintensivelyusingthestove
thewholesystemincludingthechimneymustbecleanedmorefrequently.
• Donotusethestoveasabarbeque.
• Onlyconnectonepelletstoveperchimneyue.
• Alwaysbeincompliancewiththeinstructionsofthelocalredepartment.
• Donotuseotherfuelthanthementionedwoodpellets.Otherfuelssuchas
foreexample-woodworkscrapswithgluesand/orsolvents,-wastewoodin
general, - cardboard, - liquid fuel, - alcohol, - petrol, - gasoline, - waste materi-
als or rubbish, etc are forbidden.
Thisstovealsorequiresanelectricalpowerinput.Pleasecarefullyreadthebelow
warnings and remarks:
• Donotuseadamagedpowercable.
• Donotclamporbendthecable.
• makesurethepowercabledoesnottouchanyhotpartsofthestove
• Checkthemainsvoltage.Thisdeviceissuitableexclusivelyforearthedsockets
connection,voltage230Volt/~50Hz.

Before connecting the device, check that:

B. INSTALLATION OF THE STOVE AND THE FLUE
Theue/chimneyarrangementisveryimportantforthecorrectandsafeuseof
thestove.Thereforetheinstallationofthewholesystem(stove+chimney/ue)or
partsofitmustonlybedonebyspecialised,authorisedengineers.Refertoinstal-
lation manual.

Theue/chimneymustbekeptcleanatalltimesassootdepositsornotburntresi-
duesmayreduceitsopening.Culminationofsootdepositsorresiduesmighteven
catchreleadingtodangeroussituations.Havethechimneycleanedandswept
followingthelocallegislationand/oryourinsurancecompanyinstructions.Ifnolo-
callegislationand/orinsurancecompanyinstructions:makesurethatatleastonce
peryearatthebeginningoftheheatingseasonyourentirestovesystem-including
chimney-ischeckedandmaintainedbyanauthorizedspecialist.Whenintensively
usingthestovethechimneymustbecleanedmorefrequently.
Thedraughtoftheuegassesisinsidethestoveforcedbyafan.Installingauxil-
iaryfansinsidetheue/chimneysystemcouldcomprisetheproperworkingofthe
smoke extraction fan and must therefore be avoided.
C. FIRST START UP
GBefore starting the stove remove all items such as manual, paperwork,
gloves(ifapplicable),stovetooletc.fromtherehearth/rebed.
GWhen starting the stove for the first time the auger needs extra time to be
filled with wood pellets, as a result at least three starting attempts will be
neededasalsotheburningpotisempty.
After completion of new building or refurbishment: have the building dried ex-
tensivelybeforeusingthestoveforthersttime.Walls,ceilingsand/oroorsare
knownforitslongtimebeforetheyarecompletelydry.Soot,ashpartsetcmight
easilysticktonotcompletelydriedwalls.
Thestoveismadeoutofhighqualitysteelprotectedwithacoating.Duringrst
heatingcyclesthecoatingwillhardenandthesteelwillsetitself.Thisprocesstakes
some time. In order to prevent permanent damage to the stove this initial stoking
upmustbedonegraduallyandatlowre.Keepthislowrefor24hoursafter
whichthecapacitygraduallycanbeincreased.Keepthestovecontinuouslyburn-
ing for at least another three to four hours. During first operation it is normal that
anunpleasantodourwillbeproducedmakesuretoventilatetheroomextensively
during this period.
Makesuretoventilatetheroomsufciently.
Neverhavethestoverunningwithopenredoor.Alwayskeepthedoor
closed during operation of the stove.

D.1 CONTROLLING THE STOVE
D.1.1. Regular and non regular starting up procedure and operating mode
D.1.1.1 Regular starting up procedure and operating mode
Thenormalstartupandworkingprocedureofthestoveisasfollowing:
1. Makesuretheburningpotisemptyandclean,
2. Make sure the fire door is closed.
3. Fillthefuelhopperwithgoodqualitywoodpellets
4. PresskeyP4forminimum4secondsuntildisplayshows“FanCand”.Thestove
is now in igniting pre ventilation phase which will last for approximately 2
minutes.
5. After the 2 minutes igniting pre ventilation phase the stove will start loading
pelletstothe burning pot.Thedisplaywillshow“LoadWood”.Duringthis
phase the auger will transport pellets from the fuel hopper to the burning pot.
In the same time the ignitor will start heating the burning pot.
6. During this phase the heat in the burning pot will increase so much that the
fire will start.

8. Theroomairrecirculationfanwillnowstart.Airfromtheroomissuckedinto
the stove from the back and is heated up inside the stove after which the air is
blown into the room.
9. DuringnormaloperationdisplayAwillshowtheheatingpoweroutputlevel
oftheheater.Thedisplaywillshowforexample“on4”.DisplayBwillshowthe
actualroomtemperature,forexample“20°C”.Seepicture3.

10.KeysP5andP6canbeusedtoincreaseordecreasetheheatingpowerlevel.
Changing the heating power to a lower value will mean that it will take longer
before the heater reaches the required room temperature.
11. When the room temperature has reached the required temperature the heater
willautomaticallyswitchtothelowestheatingpowerlevel.DisplayAwillshow
“on1”.DisplayBwillnowshow“rIS”,whichmeansthattheroomtempera-
ture is at the required level and the stove has switched to the lowest possible
heating power output level.
GWhentherequiredroomtemperatureisreachedthestovewillNOTswitch
off.Itwillautomaticallyswitchtothelowestpossibleheatingpower
outputlevel.Thismeansthatthestovewillkeeponheatingtheroom,but
atlowestpossiblecapacity.
GWhenstartingthestovefortheveryrsttimetheaugerneedsextratime
to be filled with wood pellets, as a result at least three starting attempts
willbeneededasalsotheburningpotisempty.
D.1.1.2 NON-regular starting up procedure.
When starting up the stove at room temperatures below approx 12°C or when the
combustionairislikelytobebelow12°Cthestartingupprocedurecanbediffer-
ent. When at these lower temperatures the ignition procedure is not resulting in a
goodburningrethedisplaywillmention“ALArNoFirE”.
GDo not use other fuel than the mentioned wood pellets. Other fuels such
asforeexample-woodworkscrapswithgluesand/orsolvents,-waste
wood in general, - cardboard, - liquid fuel, - alcohol, - petrol, - gasoline, -
waste materials or rubbish, etc are forbidden.
D.1.1.3 NON-regular starting up procedure.
When starting up the stove at room temperatures below 0°C or when the combus-

Tostartthereputsome“restarter”or“relighters”intherebed.
Light the fire starter using a match and wait for 1 minute before starting the stove
usingthe“normalstartingupprocedure”asdescribedin§D.1.1.1
When this is not leading to a good burning fire it is required that the installation
parametersofthestovewillbechangedbyaprofessional.ContactaZibroagreed
installer.
GDo not use other fuel than the mentioned wood pellets. Other fuels such

1. Press P3 once.
2. PressP1within3secondstoincreasetherequiredroomtemperature,displayB
will show the changed required temperature.
3. PressP2within3secondstodecreasetherequiredroomtemperature,display
B will show the changed required temperature.
4. WhendisplayBdisplaysthedesiredrequiredroomtemperature:donotpress
anybuttonanymore,waitfor3secondsandthedisplaywillreturntoitsnor-
mal operating mode.
5. Changing the required room temperature is now completed.
Therequiredtemperaturecanbechangedbetweenminimum06°Ctomaximum
41°C.
D.3 NORMAL SWITCHING OFF
ToswitchoffthestovekeepP4pressed,until“OFF”isdisplayedinDisplayA.
Duringtheswitchingoffphasethesupplyofwoodpelletstotheburningpotis
stopped, the room air circulation fan is switched off, the smoke extraction fan is
turned off after 20 minutes.
D.4 EMERGENCY SWITCHING OFF
Incaseofemergency:Neverusewatertostopthere.UseaCO2 (carbon dioxide)
reextinguisherand/orcalltherebrigade.Incaseofchimneyrealsoclosethe
chimneydamper(ifmounted).
D.5 CHANGING THE POWER OUTPUT LEVEL OF THE STOVE
WhentheburnerisinoperationANDtherequiredroomtemperatureisnotyet
achievedpressingP5orP6willrespectivelyincreaseordecreasethepoweroutput
ofthestovebychangingtheburninglevel.DisplayAwillchangeandshowthe
corresponding power output level of the stove. See picture 4.

In the starting up phase, when the re is not (yet) burning, the power output
(burning level) can be changed as follows: press P1 and at the same time press P5
orP6torespectivelydecreaseorincreasethepowerlevel.
When the room temperature has reached the required temperature the heater will
automaticallyswitchtothelowestheatingpowerlevel.DisplayAwillshow“on
1”.DisplayBwillnowshow“rIS”,whichmeansthattheroomtemperatureisat
the required level and the stove has switched to the lowest possible heating power
outputlevel.WhentherequiredroomtemperatureisreachedthestovewillNOT
switchoff.Itwillautomaticallyswitchtothelowestpossibleheatingpoweroutput
level.Thismeansthatthestovewillkeeponheatingtheroom,butatlowestpossible
capacity.
D.6 ROOM AIR CIRCULATION
Thisstoveisprovidedwitharoomaircirculationfan.Whenthefanisswitchedon
the room air is drawn across the internal hot surfaces of the stove and due to this
warmed up.
D.7 FLAME ADJUSTMENT
Afterstart-uptheamecanbeadjustedbyputtingthePVCbutterylid(40mmin
diameter) on the combustion air inlet positioned at the backside of the stove. See
picture 5 and picture 6.
Ifthewoodpelletsburninginsidetheburningpottendtofall/yout,itmeans
thereistoomuchcombustionairentering.Rotatingthebutterylidwillincrease
ordecreasethecombustionairinletopening.Thesmallertheinletopeningthe
lowerthechancethatwoodpelletswillfall/yout.
GTheinuencethebutteryvalvehasonthedraughtisdependingonthe
congurationofthetotalsystemofchimney,stoveandcombustionair
inlet.Insomeoccasionstheclosingofthebutterywillhardlyhaveany
effect in other occasions the effect is signifi cant.
D.8 ELECTRICAL POWER FAILURE

Afteranelectricalpowerfailureoranelectricalpowercutoutthestovewilldisplay
“A1ArnorEtE”.Thesmokeextractorfanwilldischargethefumesresidualfor20
minutes after return of the electrical power. After which the stove will go into the
switching off phase phase.
Press button P4 for more than 1 second will overrule the switching off procedure
and will continue the heating mode.

D.9 FLUE GAS TEMPERATURE
Pressing P1 during normal operating mode will show indication of flue gas tem-
peratureindisplayBfor3seconds.
D.10 FILLING THE PELLET HOPPER WITH PELLETS
Filling the pellet hopper during operation of the unit must be avoided.
Nevertouchanyrotatingpartsinsidethepellethopper.Toavoidanyrisk
totouchtherotatingpartsinsidethepellethopperitisbesttoalways
switchoffthestovecompletelybydisconnectingtheelectricalplugfrom
mains.
Should re-filling during operation be required than make sure that the
pelletsand/orthepelletbagwillnotcomeincontactwithanyhotsurface
of the stove as this might lead to dangerous situations. Make sure to never
touchanyrotatingpartsinsidethepellethopper.
Pellets must be loaded into the pellet hopper (item 32 on important component
drawing) carefully. Make sure that in all cases the pellet hopper can always be
completelyclosedwiththepellethoppercover(item6onimportantcomponents
drawing).Donotllthefuelhopperwithanyresidualsfromtheburningpot.

The stove is provided with a clock and a weektimer. The stove can be programmed
via 2 individual programs.

increase the smoke extraction fan to highest speed.
In case the temperature does not decrease but increase even further the the stove

Asanextrasafetyprecautionthestoveisequippedwithathirdtemperaturesen-
sor which measures the flue gas temperature and the room temperature. When
thissensordetectsatoohightemperatureiswillautomaticallycutofftheelectric-
itytopellethopperandthestovewillstove.Thedisplaywillshow“AlaRSec”.

Clean the surface of the stove with (hot) water and soap. Do not use abrasive or
solvent based cleaning products as this might result in damage to the surface fin-
ish.

peraturechanges.Usenormalglasscleaningsprayandcleaningtissue.(Revertto

Thefumeschambermustbecleanedatleastonceevery2weeks.
Makesurethepowersupplytothestoveisunpluggedcompletely.
1. Openthefumeschamberwiththe2cylindricalbolts.Seepict.F2.
2. Clean the chamber using a vacuum cleaner and a soft brush. Clean the fumes
chamber using a soft brush and a vacuum cleaner. Do not remove the protec-
tive plate inside the fumes chamber.
Carefullyclosethefumeschamberagainusingthe2cylindricalbolts.Checkthe
seal between the fumes chamber cover and the stove is good.
F.3.4 Cleaning the fire box

If the holes at the bottom of the burning pot are obstructed use a sharp poin-
ted tool to open the holes. Clean the burning pot and burning pot grid further
using a brush and a vacuum cleaner.
GOpen holes and a clean burning pot grid are EXTREMELY important for a
good combustion of the pellets.
Replace the burning pot and the grid to its seat. Make sure that the ignition open-
ing is pointing toward the back side of the unit, see pict. F9.
F.3.6 CLEANING THE ASH DRAW
Theashdrawneedscleaningwhenitsfullandbeforeeachstartup.
Theashdrawispositionedunderneaththeburningpotandcanbetakenoutby
slidingittowardsyou.Seepict.F4.
Itisadvisedtoemptytheashdrawinametalcontainerwithairtightlid.Asitis
knownthatashkeepslighted/hotcoalforalongperiod.
Make sure the ash does not get into contact with combustible materials (such as for
example a wooden fl oor)
