Relocate your HDTV switcher 6 feet away from the
unit's usual built-in Infra-Red Eye with the Gefen IR
Extender cable. Create a sleek, custom appearance
to your A/V setup by concealing your switcher,
extend the IR signal range, or simply add installation
flexibility when locating your Gefen equipment -- all
at a very reasonable cost.
Adds relocation flexibility to compatible Switchers during
installation
Dark colored, tiny IR Eye module hides easily among
equipment and furniture
IR Extender enables a longer range of control than without
the Extender

Simply plug in the IR-Extender mini-photo plug into
the port marked "Remote" on your Gefen unit, power
cycle your Gefen unit, and then control the Gefen
unit by pointing your IR Remote at the new IR eye,
which is now located at the end of the 6-foot
extension cable instead of the built-in IR eye in the
metal box. You can now locate the Gefen chassis
anywhere you choose, as long as the extended IR
eye is directly visible to your IR Remote across the
room.
