Power failure „frost-control“ display
IfnAappearsinthedisplay,thismeansthatthefreezertempera-
turehasrisentoohighduringthelastfewhoursordaysduetoa
powerfailure.
IfyoupresstheALARMbuttonwhilstthedisplayisreadingnA,
thehighesttemperatureregisteredduringthepowerfailurewill
bedisplayed.Checkthequalityofthefoodanditssuitabilityfor
consumptionincaseithasbecometoowarmorevendefrosted.
Thehighesttemperaturewillappearforappox.1minute.Afterthat,
theactualtemperatureinthefreezerwillre-appear.Thedisplay
canbeswitchedoffbyrepeatedlypressingtheALARM“button.
Audible warning signal
Theapplianceisequippedwithanalarmfunction.
Audible/visual temperature alarm:
Itsoundswhenitisnotcoldenoughinthefreezercompartment.
Thetemperaturedisplaywillalsoflash;
Theaudiblewarningdeviceisswitchedoffbypressingthe button.
Thetemperaturedisplaywillcontinuetoflashuntilthecauseof
thealarmhasbeenrectified.
This can be caused by:
• thefreezerdoorbeingleftopenforalongtime,allowingwarm
ambientairtoenter;
• alongpowerfailure;
• afaultintheappliance.
Ineachcase,makesurefoodhasnotdefrostedorperished.

bedisplayed(19°to0°Cintherefrigeratorandbelow0°Cinthe
freezer).
IfF1 toF5appearsinthedisplay,theappliancehasafault.Con-

The buttonswitchestherefrigeratorcompartmenttomaximum
cooling.Thisisrecommendedparticularlyifyouwishtocoollarge
quantitiesoffreshfoodordrinksasfastaspossible.

Thisisrecommended:
- in high room temperatures
(approx.33°Corhigher),
- iftheairhumidityishigh(e.g.
duringthesummer).

The light intensity of the LED
light corresponds to laser class

Important
The light cover may only be removed by customer service
staff. If the cover is removed, do not look directly at the
light through optical lenses from close distance. This can
damage your eyes.

Youcanusethefreezertraytogentlyfreezefruit(e.g.berriesor
slicesoffruit),herbsandvegetablesforservingorgarnishing.

Notes on freezing
• Packfoodwhichyouarefreezingyourselfinquantitiesappropriate
toyourhousehold.Toensurethatthefoodfreezesrightthrough,

fruit,vegetables:upto1kg,meat:upto2.5kg.

The refrigerator compartment de-
frostsautomatically.Thecondensate
evaporatesautomaticallythroughthe
compressorheat.
Ensurethatthewatercanflowwithout
hindrancethroughtheholeabovethe
vegetablebins.
Freezer compartment
Aftertheappliancehasbeeninoperationforsometime,alayer
offrostoricewillformontheinsidewalls.Thisincreasesenergy
consumption.Thereforedefrostthefreezercompartmentregularly.
•Switch the appliance off to
defrost.Pulloutthemainsplug
orpressthefreezercompart-
ment- On/Offbutton

• Removethedrawersandglassshelves.
• Wrapthefrozenfoodinpaperorblanketsandstoreinacool

Do not use any mechanical devices or other

Shutting your appliance down
Ifyourapplianceistobeshutdownforanylengthoftime,switch
itoffanddisconnecttheplugorswitchofforunscrewthefuse.
Cleantheapplianceandleavethedooropeninordertoprevent
unpleasantsmells.

Malfunctions
You may be able to rectify the following faults by checking
the possible causes yourself:
• Appliance does not function:
–Istheapplianceswitchedon?
–Istheplugcorrectlyfittedinthemainssocket?
–Isthefuseintact?
• Loud running noise:
–Istheappliancesetupfirmlyonthefloor?
–Doestheappliancecausenearbyitemsoffurnitureorobjectsto
vibrate?Pleasenotethatnoisescausedbytherefrigerantcircuit
cannotbeavoided.
• The temperature is not low enough:
–Isthetemperaturesettingcorrect(see"Settingthetemperature")?
–Haveexcessiveamountsoffreshfoodbeenplacedintheappli-
ance?
–Does the separatelyinstalled thermometershow the correct
reading?
–Istheventilationsystemworkingproperly?
–Istheappliancesetuptooclosetoaheatsource?
• The inside of the appliance may feel warm in places
–Thatisquitenormal.Thedissipatedheatisnecessaryfornormal
operationoftheappliance.

Cleaning
