Basic Shooting Procedures
1.
Load the battery
(p. 14).
2.
Open the back cover
(P. 18).
3.
Load the film aligning
the film leader with
the red mark (p. 19).

Close the back cover.
The film automatically
advances to the first
frame (p. 19).
5.
Open the lens barrier
until you hear a
"Click" (p. 19).
6.
Make sure the
exposure counter on
the LCD panel reads

Press the zoom lever
for telephoto or wide-
angle photography
(p. 21).

Place the autofocus
mark on the main
subject (p. 22).
9.
Depress the shutter
release button halfway
to make sure the
green lamp lights
(p. 22).

release button fully
to take a picture
(p.

When the film
reaches the end, it
will automatically
rewind (p. 29).

Open the back cover
to remove the
rewound film (p. 29).

LOADING THE BATTERY
1.
Close the lens barrier. Gently use a coin to open the
battery compartment cover.
2.

Insert the new battery
correctly as indicated
below and close the
battery compartment
cover tightly.
Read "Battery Handling" on page 45.
Do not twist the coin.
CHECKING THE BATTERY
Use a 3 V lithium battery
(Duracell DL123A,
Panasonic CR123A, or
equivalent.)

Open the lens barrier
as shown below until
you hear a "Click" and
check the battery
power remaining.
Batteries are OK. The mark
disappears after 12 sec.
Batteries are low.
Have spares handy.
Batteries should be
replaced immediately.
Note: Keep a spare battery on
hand when going on a long trip or
to a cold area.
POINTS TO REMEMBER
Hold the Camera Correctly.

Correct.
Hold the camera firmly
with both hands.
Correct.
In the vertical position,
hold the camera with its
flash positioned at the top.
Incorrect.
Caution:
Keep your fingers and strap
away from the lens, flash, auto-
focus windows and light sensor.
Proper Shutter Release Practice before loading the film.
1.
Depress the shutter
release button
halfway.
2.
Depress the shutter
release button fully.
To lock the focus.
To release the shutter and
take the picture.
Cautions:
Press the shutter release
button gently.
Avoid shaking the camera
when pressing the shutter
release button to prevent
blurry pictures.

BASIC OPERATIONS
LOADING THE FILM
1.
Slide the back cover
release upwards to
open the back cover.
2.
Insert the film car-
tridge, making sure
the film is lying flat.
Make sure
If there is dust or dirt
on the lens, remove it
with a blower brush.
Make sure the film is correctly
positioned between the guide rails.

Open the lens barrier
until you hear a
"Click".
The film automatically

If the lens barrier is opened while the flash is held down,
the lens extends slightly then retracts. THE CAMERA WILL
NOT OPERATE.
TAKING PICTURES
Make sure

flash pops up, and the LCD
panel activates.
Release the flash, and reopen the lens barrier or operate
the zoom lever to reactivate the camera.
