WARNING: Be sure that the projector is powered down and that the power cord is removed from the wall

outlet.

Wait until the projector is cooled do wn before starting the procedure.

2.1 HDSDI input

Purpose

The HDSDI board allows the input of HDSDI sources on the Barco iCon projectors.

Software issues

The new input is automatically detected at first startup and the source selection menu will be adapted (the HDSDI item will be

adapted).

The first me nu show a generic representation w here x represents th e layer ( L1, L2, L3, L4).

The second menu sh ow a m enu in case of a standard configuration and where the HDSDI board is mounted on the 4th layer.

3.1 Removing/installing the cable basket

How to remove the cable basket

1. Press on the top of the cable basket s o as to unlock the top part from the projector. (image 3-1)

2. Pull the cable basket so as to free it from the bottom locks.

How to install the cable basket

1. Place the 2 feet of the cable basket into the 2 bottom locks of the projector. (image 3-2)

2. Bring the basket towards the projector and press on it s o as to lock it at the top.

How to remove the lens cover

1. Loosen the 2 indicated screws ( image 3-3)

2. Open th e protective cloth (enlarge the opening) and pull the lens c over gently towards the front of the projector.

3.3 Removing the installed lens

How to remove the installed lens ?

1. Disconnect the lens from the motor connection board

2. Support the lens with one hand. (image 3 -4, image 3-5)

3. Pull out the locking pin and flip the lens locking han dle to the right (with the index finger) at the same time.

4. Pull the lens gently out of the lens holder.

4.3 Removing the front plate

How to remove the front plate ?

1. Remove the 4 screws (image 4-5)

2. Remove the 4 screws fixing the VGA and t he RS232 connector (image 4-6)

3. Remove the 2 screws fixing the USB connectors. (image 4-7)

Note: the 2 screws are fixed with 2 nuts on the rear of the plate : remove gently the plate forwards to access the nuts.

Tip: In case one must only access the side screws on the PMP it is not necessary to loosen the USB connector.

4. Remove the plate or flip it to the side in case the USB connector has not been removed. (image 4-8)

Flip front plate in case it must not be removed (USB connection not removed)

When an Audio o r other extension module is used on the extra PCI slot, the 2 screws fixing this module should

also be removed.

4.5 Removing the Server

What has to be done ?

Depending on the type of plate 1 piece/2pieces) the removal procedure is slightly different :

2. 2 piece plate : remove only the side plate (1) , the server can be slided to the side.

How to remove the server ?

1. Remove the HDD adapter from the HD (image 4-13)

2. If the plate is in one piece

If yes, remove the 4 screws

If no, go to step 8 (image 4-14)

3. Push the flat cable and the power cable through the hole. (image 4-15 )

4. Remove the wire bundle from cable protection lock.

5. Remove the 6 screws fixing the metallic protection cover. (image 4-16)

6. Remove the second wire bund le from the l

ower cable protective lock. (image 4-17)

7. 1 piece plate : Remove the indicated screws to allow the server to be s lided to th e side. (image 4-18, image 4-19)

8. Remove the LVDS connections from the PMP(only in case the server must be completely removed). (image 4-20)

9. Remove the ATX power cable from the power box (only in case the server must be completely removed). (image 4-21)

10. Remove the Ethernet connection and the small c onne ctor from the PMP (only if server must be completely removed). (im-

age 4-22)

Tip: The small cable is connected on the back of the PMP, access to the connector is made easy by removing the connector

in front of it (only if server must be completely removed).

11.Remove the 3 screws fixing the server to the projector frame. (image 4-23)

12. Remove the server or place the server o

n the side in case one must on ly access the PMP (input side screws) (image 4-24)
