Section 1. About this Guide
This guide will help you get the most from your
Wear24. It includes:
• Getting Started with Your Wear24
• Using Your Watch
• Apps
• Android Wear
• Health and Safety Information
• Warranty Information
This guide gives navigation instructions according
to the default display settings. If you select other
settings, navigation steps may be dierent.
Unless otherwise specified, all instructions in this
guide assume that you are starting from the Home
screen. To get to the Home screen, you may need to
unlock the device.
All screen images in this guide are for your reference
only. Actual displays may vary, depending on the
software version of your device and any changes to
the devices Settings.

Charging Your Watch
Before setting up your watch, charge it fully.
1. Connect the smaller end of the USB cable to
the USB/charger port on the charging cradle
and connect the other end to the power
adapter. Then plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
2. Place your watch in the cradle with the wireless
charging area against the back of the cradle as
shown.
NOTE: The watch turns on automatically when charging.
WARNING: Use only approved chargers with your device. Use
of incompatible chargers or tampering with the charger port
could damage your device and void the warranty.

Getting Your Phone Ready
1. On your phone, open Play Store and search
for “Android Wear”.
2. Download and install the Android Wear app
on your phone.
3. Make sure your phone has the latest version of
the My Verizon app installed.
4. Make sure your phone has the latest version of
the Verizon Message+ app installed, and check
your Settings to make sure it’s set as the default
messaging app.

Turning Your Watch On/O
• To turn your watch on, press and hold the Power
button until the watch vibrates and shows the
Welcome screen.
• To turn your watch off, press the Power button
to open the Apps screen. Then, tap Settings
System Power Off .
The watch will vibrate and shut down.

Pairing Your Watch with Your Phone
NOTE: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and
your watch is connected to a power source during setup.
1. Turn on your watch.
2. Tap and select your preferred language. Then
swipe left and follow the onscreen instructions
to continue.
3. On your phone, open the Android Wear app.
Follow the onscreen instructions to pair your
watch with your phone.

Setting up Calling (Required)
IMPORTANT: You need to set up Calling in order to make and
receive calls on your watch when you’re not near your phone.
Right after syncing the watch, do the following to
set up calling:
1. Tap to start setting up calling.
2. On the permission request screens, tap to
allow Message+ to manage phone calls, access
location info and record audio on your watch.

3. To use your phone number on your watch, tap
to allow the system to do a quick security
check.
NOTE: This step only occurs when Message+ is not your
default text messaging app.
4. Enter your phone number and tap . The
system will text you a verification PIN to the
phone number you entered.
5. Tap to go to the Enter PIN screen.

6. Enter the PIN that we texted you, and tap .
7. Tap to allow your watch to use your phones
number for calling.
8. The system will automatically detect your
location. To use the current location as your 911
address if you call 911 from your watch, tap .

9. The system will verify your 911 address. Tap
to complete the setup.
NOTE: If you change your location, please update your 911
address in Message+.
TIP: You can also get to Calling Setup from the Apps screen.
Press and hold the Power button to open the Apps screen.
Tap Calling Setup and follow the onscreen instructions to
complete the calling setup.

Section 3. Using Your Watch
Waking Your Watch
When your watch hasn’t been used for a while, it
will go to sleep—showing a simplified watch face—
to save power.
There are 3 ways to wake your watch:
• Touch the screen.
• Press the Power button.
• Tilt your wrist.
Using the Touch Screen
Using the touch screen, you can control actions
through touch gestures like swiping and tapping.

Using Wrist Gestures
Besides touch gestures, you can also control your
watch by using wrist gestures.
To enable wrist gestures, swipe left to go to the
Apps screen, then scroll down and tap Settings
Gestures. Set Wrist gestures ON.
Flick wrist out
• Scroll down the current page (i.e. notification
cards, lists, or more).

Flick wrist in
• Scroll up the current page (i.e. notification cards,
lists, or more).
Shake wrist
• Return to watch face.

Personalizing Your Watch
1. From your watchface, swipe right to select a
previous face or Add more watch faces to see all
your faces.
TIP: You can also access this option from the Apps
screen. Tap Settings Display Change watch face.
2. Swipe left or right to find the watch face you
want.
3. Customize the current watch face by tapping
and holding the screen.

To do more with your watch, download the Wear24
TM
app from the Play Store on your smartphone.
Wear24 lets you choose a watch face, customize
it, and decide what features you want to see. You
can even turn your smart watch into a personal
assistant by creating groups of widgets that appear
when you need them.
TIP: You can also change your watch face from your phone.
Open Android Wear app, then select the desired watch face
from the Watch faces section.
