If your building has Vortex 51" or Vortex 55" fans and you are interested in installing the new One Piece
Polycone (51RC or 55RC), the first step is to measure the distance between the flanges of each fan. If
there is 7

⁄4" or more between the flanges, you can install the polycones on the fans and have proper
clearance. If the flanges are closer than 7

⁄4", contact your Munters Regional Representative or the
Munters office to discuss options.

New Polycone
Installation Spacing
VX51", VX55"
For new installations of the Vortex 51" or Vortex 55" fan with the new One Piece Polycone (51RC or
55RC), the recommended fan spacing is as follows: For the 51" fan use 68" O.C. and for the 55" fan
use 72" O.C. The minimum spacing for the 51" fan is 66" O.C. and the minimum spacing for the 55" fan
is 70" O.C. For spacing closer than the minimum, contact your Munters Regional Representative or the
Munters office to discuss options.
