INSTALL THE SPEED CONTROL ROD
Attach the ball joint (E, Figure 5), located on the bottom
end of the speed control rod (F), to the shift yoke
assembly with 5/16” lock washer (H) and 5/16” nut (I).
INSTALL THE DISCHARGE CHUTE
1. Place discharge chute (L, Figure 5) over tabs on
chute ring (M) as shown.
2. Secure discharge chute with three carriage bolts (N) and nuts (O).
3. Tighten hardware securely.
NOTE: Check all bolts and nuts in tabs for tightness. Do not over-tighten.
NOTE: If the chute rotation is slow or binding, loosen the chute rotation screws (P, Figure 6) 1/4 turn.
4. Connect electric motor connector (Q, Figure 7) to the harness connector (R).

WARNING:
Fuel and its vapors are ammable and explosive. Turn off engine and wait at least
2 minutes before refueling. Let spilled fuel evaporate before starting engine.
Note: “Right” and “Left” are from the Operating Position.

UNPACK THE SNOWTHROWER
1. Using knife, cut along the dotted lines around
the top of the carton. Then remove top of
carton as shown in Figure 1.
2. Using knife, cut along the dotted lines around
the bottom of the carton.
3. Push snowthrower off the bottom of the
carton to proceed with assembly.
ASSEMBLE THE HANDLES
1. Raise the upper handle (A, Figure 2) to the
operating position.
2. Guide speed control rod over wheel.
3. Remove blue shipping tape from cables and
cut orange zip ties that secure control cables
to handle assembly and chute rotation parts.
NOTE: Make sure the Z bend ends of the control
lever cables are secured in the holes on the
control levers (D, Figure 3). Be careful not to
cut or damage the control cables. Make sure the
cables are not caught between the upper and
lower handle.
4. Slide two carriage bolts (B, Figure 2) into
lower holes and fasten with two 5/16” lock
nuts (C). Tighten all four carriage bolts and
nuts with a 1/2” wrench.
WARNING: Always wear safety
glasses or eye shields when assembling the
snowthrower.

CAUTION: Avoid Injury! Explosive separation of tire and rim parts is possible when they
are serviced incorrectly.
Do not in ate the tires above the recommended pressure.
Do not stand in front or over the tire assembly when in ating. Use appropriate tool that allows
you to stand to one side.
NOTICE: Check side of tire for maximum tire pressure. DO NOT exceed maximum.
CHECK OIL LEVEL
WARNING: Fuel and its vapors are

Note: Engine is shipped with oil. See Engine
Manual for complete engine oil speci cations and
maintenance requirements.
1. Remove oil dipstick (V, Figure 9). Check oil
level. Oil level should be between FULL and
ADD marks. Reinstall oil dipstick.

CHECK THE TIRES
Check tires for damage. Check the air pressure in the tires with an accurate gauge. See the sidewall of
the tire for the proper in ation.
FILL THE FUEL TANK
WARNING:
Gasoline and its vapors are extremely ammable and explosive.
Fire or explosion can cause severe burns or death.
When Adding Fuel
Turn engine off and let engine cool at least 2 minutes before removing the fuel cap.
• Fill tank outdoors or in well-ventilated area.
Do not over ll fuel tank. To allow for expansion of gasoline, do not ll above the bottom
of the fuel neck.
Keep gasoline away from sparks, open ames, pilot lights, heat, and other ignition sources.
Check fuel lines, tank, cap, and ttings frequently for cracks or leaks. Replace if necessary.
If fuel spills, wait until it evaporates before starting engine.
1. Clean fuel cap area of dirt and debris. Remove the fuel cap (W, Figure 10).
2. Fill the fuel tank (X) with gasoline and fuel stabilizer (follow instructions on stabilizer package).
To allow for expansion of the gasoline, do not ll above the bottom of the fuel tank neck (Y).
3. Reinstall the fuel cap.
READ MANUALS BEFORE STARTING ENGINE
Follow procedures and safety instructions in Operator’s Manuals.
INSTALL THE DRIFT CUTTERS
Drift cutters are used to cut a path through snow
deeper than the auger housing.
1. Insert lower tab of drift cutter (S) into lower
hole.
2. On each side of the auger housing, insert
carriage bolt (T, Figure 8) through upper hole.
3. Secure with wing nuts (U).
Notice: Do not use E22 or E85 fuel.
Notice: Do not mix oil with fuel.
