Clean
This Refrigerator
2.1
Before cleaning
this refrigerator:
1. Turn off
the
refr

r.
2. Remove food, shelves and trays from refr

.
2.2 To clean the
interior
of the refrigerator:
1. Make a solution using two
table
spoons of baking soda per quart of
warm
wat
e
r.
2. Use a cloth and the solution to wash the interior lining.
3. Rinse the refrigerator with a damp clot
h.
4. Wipe the refrigerator interior with a dry cloth to
dry.
DO NOT use soaps, detergents, scouring powder or
spray
cleaners to clean the interior of
the
refrigerator as
they
may cause odors within the refri

or.

cube tray and
shelves:
1. Dip the

in a mild detergent solution

2 .Dry the tray/shelf with a soft

2.4 To clean the
refrigerator exterior and door
gasket:
1. Dampen a soft

with mild soapy
water.
2. Wipe
the
refrigerator exterior with the damp
cloth.
3. Wipe the door gasket with
the
damp
cloth.
4. Dry
the
refrigerator exterior and gasket with a soft
cl
oth.
NEVER use acids, chemical thinner, gasoline,
benzene or boiling
water
for cleaning any part of the refrig
erato
r

3. How to Install
This Refrigerator
To ensure safety and efficiency, the

or must be installed in a sui
t
-
able place. This section describes how
to
select a suitable place to
inst
all
the refrigerator and describes how to install the ref
r
igerator.
3.1
C
hoosing
a
suitable place
to install the refrigerator:
1. The refrigerator should be placed on a strong level floor. If the floor is
not level, the refrigerator foot must be
adjusted.
2. The refrigerator should be free standing and should
not
be recessed or
built in.
3. There should be 4 inches of free space behind the refrigerator, 1 inch of
free space either side of the refrigerator and 12 inches free space above the
r
ef
r
ige
r
a
t
or to allow air to circulate around the
r
e
frigerator.
4. Keep refrigerator away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
5. The refri
g
era
t
or is grounded to avoid electrical hazards. The
refrigerator must be plugged into a grounded electrical
outlet.

3.2 How to test the

control knob to
"OFF".
2. Plug the AC cord into an electrical outlet. (The motor should not

4. Set the

".
5. Let refrigerator work for 20 minutes. (The motor should run and
the
freezing
compartment
should become slightly fros
ted.)

control knob to "MIN". (The motor should

off.)

4. How to
Defrost This Refrigerator
To reduce energy consumption, the refrigerator mus
t
be defrosted when
the ice layer on the freezing
compartment
reaches six centimeters in
thickness. This section describes how
to
defrost the refriger
ator.
4.1
Defrosting
the refrigerator
1. Remove frozen food from the refriger
ator.
2. Put the drip tray in place below
the
freezing com
partment.
3. Set the

mper
atur
e
control knob to O
FF”.
4. Pour warm water on the ice layer to speed up defrosting
t
i
me.
5. Keep refrigerator door open to speed up defrosting
time.
6. After defrosting is complete, remove drip
tray.
7. Empty the drip
tr
ay.
8. Set the

e
mper
atur
e
control knob to desired
temperature
to begin
ref
r
ig
era
t
io
n.
9. If defrosting must be stopped before completion, set the
temperature
control knob
to
a desired
t
e
mperatur
e.
NEVER use boiling water or a heater
to
speed up defrosting. This may
dama
ge
plastic parts of the refrig
erato
r
.
NEVER use sharp or metallic
objects to remove ice layer. This
may
punctu
re the evapo
r
a
t
or,
causing serious problems.
