Horizontal Pressure Tank Installation Instructions
1. Mount jet pump to top of pressure tank with the included nuts and bolts
(mounting hardware kit).
a. Your existing mounting plate and jet pump configuration may not fit
with the included mounting hardware kit. If this is the case, additional
nuts and bolts will need to be purchased.
2. Wrap thread tape around the 1” male threads of the 4-way black tee
(included), and thread the tee into the jet pump discharge (top of jet pump).
3. Wrap thread tape around the male threads of the horizontal pressure tank.
Depending on manufacturer, this thread will be 3/4or 1”. This kit includes
a 3/4 female NPT x 1” barbed insert elbow and a 1” female NPT x 1” barbed
insert elbow. Use the appropriate elbow. Feel free to discard the unused
elbow.
4. Slide a clamp (two included) over each end of the clear tube (included).
5. Slide one end of the tube over the barbed end of the 4-way black tee, and
the other end of the tube over the barbed end of the elbow used in Step #3.
6. Tighten the clamps over the barbs so that the clear tube is secure to both
fittings. Failure to tighten the clamps properly could lead to flooding and/or
a damaged pump.
7. Attach your home’s piping to the 1” female NPT thread on the 4-way black
tee. If your system uses piping smaller than 1”, you can purchase a reducing
fitting.
8. Prime the jet pump through the 1/2 female NPT port on the top of the 4-
way black tee. Once you have completely primed the pump (filling the pump
with water until water is at the top of the 4-way black tee), wrap thread tape
around the 1/2 male priming plug (included) and thread into the top of the
4-way black tee. Ensure ALL connections are tight to prevent leaks.
9. Your pump and tank should now be ready for use.
NOTE: There is an included 1” x 10” PVC pipe nipple that will not be needed
for horizontal tank applications. Please discard.
