Warning
To avoid possible electric shock, injury, and
damage to the Meter please follow these rules:
Before using the Meter, inspect the exterior
casing. Do not use the Meter if it is visibly
damaged or if it appears to be tampered with.
Inspect the test leads for damaged insulation or
exposed metal. Check the test leads for
continuity.
Do not apply more than the rated voltage, in any
fashion to the Meter or terminals.
The rotary switch should be placed in the correct
position before measurement and should NOT be
moved during measurement to prevent damage.
When the Meter is working at an effective voltage
over 60V in DC or 30V rms in AC take additional
care due to increased danger of electric shock.
Use the proper terminals, function, and range for
your measurements.
Do not use or store the Meter in a high-
temperature environment, do not expose to high
levels of humidity, or near strong magnetic
fields. The performance of the Meter may
deteriorate in any of these harsh environments.
Disconnect circuit power and discharge all high-
voltage capacitors before testing resistance,
continuity, diodes or hFE.
Replace the battery as soon as the battery
indicator appears. A low battery will cause
the Meter to produce inaccurate readings and
could lead to damage and dangerous conditions.
The Meter is suitable for dry location use only.
Turn the Meter power off when it is not in use
and take out the battery when not using for a
long time to avoid battery leakage and damage

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
DC & AC VOLTAGE DC
1. Connect red test lead to
“VΩmAjack, Black lead to
“COMjack.
2. Set RANGE switch to
desired DC/AC VOLTAGE
position, if the voltage to be
measured is not known
beforehand, set switch to
the highest range and
reduce it until satisfactory
reading is obtained.
AC
3. Connect test leads to
device or circuit being
measured.
4. Turn on power of the
device or circuit being
measured voltage value will
appear on Digital Display along
with the voltage polarity.

DC CURRENT
1. Red lead to “VΩmA”. Black
lead to “COM (for
measurements between
200mA and 10A connect
the red lead to “10Ajack)
2. RANGE switch to desired
DCA position.
3. Connect test leads in
series with the loaded
current to be measured so
that current may flow
through the meter.
4. Read current value on Digital Display.
Please Note: The “10A
function is designed for
intermittent use only.
Maximum contact time of
the test leads with the
circuit is 10 seconds, with a
minimum 10-minute
intermission time between
tests.

RESISTANCE
1. Red lead to “VΩmA”. Black
lead to “COM”.
2. Set RANGE switch to
desired OHM position.
3. If the resistance being
measured is connected to
a circuit, turn off power
before measurement.
4. Connect test leads to
circuit being measured.
5. Read resistance value on
Digital Display.
DIODE MEASUREMENT
1. Red lead to “VΩmA”, Black
lead to “COM”.
2. Set RANGE switch to “
position.
3. Connect the red test lead to
the anode of the diode to
be measured and black
test lead to cathode.
4. The forward voltage drop in
mV will be displayed. If the
diode is reversed, figure “1”
will be shown.

TRANSISTOR (hFE)
1. Set RANGE switch to the
hFE position.
2. Determine whether the
transistor is PNP of NPN
type and locate the
Emitter, Base and
Collector leads. Insert the
leads into the proper
holes of the hFE Socket
on the front panel.
3. The meter will display the
hFE value while providing the base current
10μA and V
CE
2.8V.
CONTINUITY TEST (Beep)
1. Red lead to “VΩmA, Black
lead to “COM”.
2. Set RANGE to position.
3. Connect test leads to two
points of circuit to be
tested. If the resistance is
lower than 30Ω±20Ω, the
buzzer will sound.
