TRANSGO A750 User manual

  • I have reviewed the instructions for the TRANSGO AW-ACCUM accumulator piston. The document details the installation process and highlights the benefits of using the hardened steel piston with scarf cut sealing rings to improve performance in several Toyota transmissions. I can address questions relating to the products and installation procedure.
  • What is the problem with original Toyota accumulator pistons?
What is the purpose of TransGo's solution?
What should you do with the original springs?
What models are the pistons compatible with?
What type of ring is on the new piston?
What assembly gel is used for?

Step 1. Remove original accumulator piston & springs. Keep
the spring or springs together for each piston to prevent mix-
ing them up.
Step 2 . Clean New Piston. Place a small amount of assembly
gel into the groove and install the New Scarf Ring provided.
Make sure gel is holding ring ush or below ush before in-
stalling to prevent ring damage. Re-use your original springs.

What youre fixing:
The original Toyota accumulator pistons have no seals and rely
solely on the close tolerances of the mang components (when
new) to control system leaks. However, over me and use, the
so aluminum accumulator pistons and bores wear, creang
leaks resulng in shi feel complaints and burnt fricons.
TransGos soluon of ulizes made-in USA hardened steel accu-
mulator pistons ed with scarf cut sealing rings to provide a
posive seal in worn bores, even in a less than perfect bore that
would normally damage any rubber seals.
