> Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body
away from openings and moving parts.
> Periodically inspect dust and filter bags for any cuts,
rips or tears. Do NOT operate the dust collector with
a damaged bag or hose.
> After assembly or maintenance, make sure that you
have removed all loose tools from the machine before
turning it on.
> Empty bag regularly. Do NOT fill the bag more than half-full.
> Wear safety glasses and a dust mask/respirator while
emptying the bag.
> Do NOT operate outdoors or on wet surfaces.
> Do NOT use this product to collect flammable dust or
flammable vapors. Fire or explosion may occur.
> Never collect sparks or metal from a bench grinder or
other source.
> Never introduce sparks or sources of ignition into
the product.
> Keep portable fire extinguishers handy.
> Use proper lifting technique and get the help of another adult to lift the Canister Filter when attaching it to the Dust Collector.
Failure to do so could result in serious injury.
> For easiest installation of the Canister Filter, first mount
the Dust Right 1250 CFM Wall-Mount Dust Collector at
its final location, following the instructions that came with
the dust collector.
> When mounting the Dust Collector, the top set of Lag
Screws must be located at least 65" from the floor to
provide needed clearance for the Large Canister Filter.
> This Canister Filter is designed for use ONLY with the
Dust Right 1250 CFM Wall-Mount Dust Collector.
Assembly
1. If the foam tape that came with your Dust Right 1250 CFM
Wall-Mount Dust Collector has become damaged or has
come off the outlet port of the motor assembly, wrap the
1mm x 30mm x 1612" Foam Tape around the bottom of the
outlet port, making sure the bottom edge of the tape is
against the outlet flange. Trim any excess.
2. Bring the two pieces of the Attachment Collar (A and B)
together around the Foam Tape on the dust collector’s outlet
port and connect them with the 1/4" x 1/2" Flange Bolts.
Use the Open Wrench to tighten.
3. Place the Gasket over the opening on top of the Canister
Filter, taking care to align the screw holes.
The Hex Head Bolts will thread into the
Attachment Collar pieces in only one direction.

4. With the help of another adult and with the machine
turned off, lift the Canister Filter to the dust collector outlet
port. Make sure to position the Canister Filter so it won’t
protrude too far and so the post for the Handle is oriented
correctly. (You must be able to move the Handle partway
around the Canister Filter once the Handle is installed.)
Align the holes in the Gasket and in the Canister Filter top
with the holes in the Attachment Collar and attach with the
5/16" x 1/2" Flange Bolts. Use the Open Wrench to tighten.
5. Slide the Handle onto the post projecting from the top of the
Canister Filter, lining up the hole for the 5/16" x 3/4" Set
Screw with the flat area on the post. Thread the Set Screw
into the Handle and thread the 5/16" Nut loosely onto the
Set Screw. Use the Hex Wrench to tighten the Set Screw;
then use the Open Wrench to tighten the nut. (The Handle
is used to spin a three-paddle mechanism inside that
dislodges built-up dust from the pleated filter.)
6. Apply the 3mm x 20mm x 4934" Foam Tape in the channel
around the bottom of the Canister Filter. Trim any excess.
7. Fit the Plastic Bag over the bottom of the Canister Filter,
making sure the edge extends at least to the top of the
3mm x 20mm x 4934" Foam Tape. Install the Clamp
and secure tightly around the Plastic Bag.
Maintenance
1. With the Dust Collector turned off, move the Handle back
and forth partway around the Canister Filter a couple of times
to dislodge dust that has built up in the pleated filter. Because
the mechanism inside the Canister Filter has three paddles,
you need to move the Handle only one-third of the way
around the canister to cover the entire filter.
2. Once the Plastic Bag becomes about half-full, turn off and
unplug the Dust Collector and then release the Clamp to
free the bag for emptying or replacement.
3. Reinstall the emptied Plastic Bag or install a replacement as
described in Step 7 in the Assembly section.
> Turn off and unplug your Dust Right 1250 CFM
Wall-Mount Dust Collector before attempting to install
the Canister Filter, emptying or changing the Plastic Bag
and before any maintenance.
Do NOT fill the bag more
than half-full.
> Wear safety glasses and a dust mask/respirator while
emptying the bag.
Use proper lifting technique and get the
help of another adult to lift the Canister Filter when attaching
it to the Dust Collector. Failure to do so could result in injury.
