Important Safety Warnings and Precautions
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE OPERATING YOUR SUNJOY BBQ GRILL:
● Installation of the grill must conform to local codes, or in the absence of local codes,
with the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSIZ223.1 latest edition. In Canada, CAN/CGA-B149.2
Propane Installation Code.
● CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION 65 – WARNING - The burning of gas cooking fuel generates
some by-products which are on the list of substances known by the State of California to cause
cancer or reproductive harm. California law requires businesses to warn their customers of
potential exposure to such substances. To minimize exposure to these substances, always
operate this unit according to the care and use guide, ensuring you provide the proper
ventilation when cooking with gas.
WARNING
Carefully read all warnings, instructions, gas leak check procedures, lighting instructions
and general maintenance and storage information prior to the operation of this grill.
Failure to do so could result in a fire, which could cause property damage, personal injury or
death. Retain this manual for future reference.
7. The grill should not be placed under
combustible structures such as an
enclosed carport, garage, porch, patio,
etc.
1. Always place your SUNJOY BBQ Grill on
a solid and secure surface. A patio slab or
sizeable deck is recommended.
2. The grill is for outdoor purposes only.
8. Use only the standard one pound
disposable gas canisters marked
“PROPANE DOT-39 NRC 228/286”.
3. Do not obstruct the flow of combustion
and ventilated air.
9. Propane canisters should be
disconnected when not in use.
4. This outdoor grill is not intended to be
installed in or on recreational vehicles or
boats.
10. The grill can be converted for use with a
20 pound Propane cylinder with optional
hose and adapter.
5. Do not install or use the grill within 36
inches of combustible materials from the
front, back or sides of the grill.
11. Do not leave the grill unattended while it
is in use or hot.
6. The grill should be operated only in
well-ventilated areas. Never operate the
grill in an enclosed space such as a
garage or building.
