The sensor ID was synchronized with this unit before ship-
ment. It is not necessary to synchronize the sensor ID.

• LCDscreenmaybedistortedwhenviewedthroughpolarizedsun-
glasslenses.
2.4GHz digital wireless system
Eachsensoradoptsthe2.4GHzdigitalwirelesstechnology,whichis
usedforwirelessLAN,etc.Thistechnologypracticallyeliminatesin-
terferencefromanyexternalnoiseandcross-talkwithotherwireless
computerusersduringmeasurement,andenablesittorecordand
storehighlyreliabledata.However,itsuffersinterferenceinthefol-
lowingplacesand/orenvironments,whichmayresultinanincorrect
measurement.

Automatic recognition of the speed sensor ID
ThespeedsensorhasitsownID,andthecomputermeasuresinsyn-
chronizationwiththeID.
Twospeed-sensorIDscanberegisteredtoonecomputer,whichcan
automaticallyidentifytwospeedsensorsoncetheirIDsareregistered
inadvance.
AsatirecircumferenceissettothespeedsensorID,wheelselection
bymanualoperationisnolongerrequired,whichwasnecessarywith
conventionalunits.
*Thespeedsensorcurrentlyrecognizedisindicatedwithasensor
icon( or )onthescreen.
Procedure of automatic recognition
Whenthecomputerchangestothepowersavingscreen,andthenre-
turnstothemeasurementscreen,automaticrecognitionofthespeed
sensorIDisperformedinthefollowingprocedure.

ThecomputersearchesthespeedsensorIDsignal,whichhad
beensynchronizedimmediatelybefore.

Oncethesensorsignalisreceived,thesensoriconforthespeed
sensorlightsup,andthecomputerstartsthemeasurement.
WhenthespeedsensorIDsignalwhichhadbeensynchronizedimme-
diatelybefore,cannotbereceivedanothersensorsignalissearched.

Whenthecomputerreceivesanothersensorsignal,thesensoriconfor
theothersensorlightsuponthescreen,andstartsthemeasurement.
WhenanotherspeedsensorIDsignalcannotbereceived,the
originalsensorsignalissearchedagain.
Thecomputerrepeatssynchronizationthroughtheproceduredescribed
aboveevenifitfailsinsynchronizationforsomereason,suchascom-
municationfailure;insuchcaseshowever,ittakestimeforrecognition.
*Whenthecomputerdoesnotreceiveanysignalfromthesensorfor
10minutes,itwillchangetothepower-savingscreen.Whensucha
conditionlastsanother1hour,itwillgetintothesleepstate.
Switching the ID by manual operation
ThespeedsensorIDcanbeforcedtochangemanually,accordingto
themenuscreen“Settingthetirecircumference”.Usethisoperation
inthefollowingcases.
• Whenthecomputercannotrecognizetheintendedsensorsignal,
sincethe2registeredspeedsensorsarenearbyandbotharesend-
ingasensorsignal.
• WhenyouwanttoswitchthespeedsensorIDimmediately.
*OnceyouswitchthespeedsensorIDbymanualoperation,thecom-
putercontinuestosearchonlythespeedsensorIDyouswitched
whenreturningtothemeasurementscreen.Whenthecomputer
cannotreceiveanysensorsignalin10minutes,thepower-saving
modeisactivated,andthecomputerchangestothepowersaving
screen.Thecomputersearchesthroughtheprocedureofautomatic
recognitionwhenitreturnstothemeasurementscreen.
