Preface
Safety Information
Before installing and using the device, note the following precautions:
Read all instructions carefully.
Follow all warnings and cautions in this manual.
Do not place the unit on an unstable surface, cart, or stand.
Do not use the camera in extreme temperature conditions. Please use the camera within -20ºC to
50ºC. Air vent is required at high temperature.
Do not use or store the camera in humid environment. It may cause poor image quality.
Do not use the camera in unstable lighting conditions. Inconsistent lighting or flickering may cause
poor image.
Never use the camera close to gas or oil leak. It may not operate properly.
Do not disassemble the camera. There is no user serviceable part inside.
Do not drop the camera or apply force on it. It may cause a malfunction.
Avoid using the system near water, in direct sunlight, or near a heating device.
Never face the camera to strong light for long periods of time. It may damage the CMOS sensor.
Installation Recommendations
Ensure you have a stable, clean working environment. Dust and dirt can get into components and cause a
malfunction. Use containers to keep small components separated.
Adequate lighting and proper tools can prevent you from accidentally damaging the internal components.
Most of the procedures that follow require only a few simple tools, including the following:
A Philips screwdriver
A flat-tipped screwdriver
A grounding strap
An anti-static pad
Using your fingers can disconnect most of the connections. It is recommended that you do not use needle-nose
pliers to disconnect connections as these can damage the soft metal or plastic parts of the connectors.

Chapter 1.3 Removing the Protective EPE Foam and Preparing the Network Cables
1. Loosen the 6 anti-drop screws on the top cover and open it.
2. Remove and discard the protective EPE from the lens modules.

3. Add a desiccant to the recommended position as below.

4. Plug the spring cable back to the top cover. Then lock the 6 anti-drop screws on the top cover.
5. Loosen the anti-drop screw on the lateral side of the bottom cover.
6. Rotate the cap to align □ from LOCK to OPEN to remove the cap
7. Rotate the cap to secure it on the wall mount bracket.
8. Attach the safety harness on the camera mounting plate to the hook on the camera bottom.

9. Loosen the 3 anti-drop screws on the bottom plate and open it.
10. Feed the unterminated CAT5 cable through the hole in the grommet and terminate the cable with the
appropriate connector.

Note:
To maintain watertight integrity/warranty, be sure to use the grommet and do not puch a connector
through the hole in the gommet.
If using the I/O cables, use the provided I/O cable assembly and plug them into the appropriate
connector on the PCB. Cables will be run through the grommet on the cover and terminated to the
accessory cables.

Chapter 1.4 Hardware Installation (Wall Mount)
1. Rotate the camera from OPEN to LOCK in order to fix the camera. The mark should be aligned with the
LOCK ( ) mark.
2. Tighten the captive screw on the lateral side of the bottom cover to secure the camera.
Note: The default head position of camera for 360 ° view.

degrees due to the tolerance of mechanical parts assembly.

Chapter 1.6 Hardware Installation (Pendant Mount)
1. Rotate the screw with the appropriate tool on the base of the pendant mount to lock it in place.
2. Choose a desired installation location and use a driller to drill 3 holes on the surface for securing the
pendant mount. Insert 3 screw anchors into the holes and secure the pendant mount to the surface using
the screws for the anchors.

3. Attach the safety harness on the camera mounting plate to the hook on the camera bottom
4. Wire the pigtail cable inside the pendant mount bracket. Align the bottom cap of the camera to the bracket
handle and rotate it until it is fixed on the pendant mount bracket. Then secure the camera in place with the
screw using the appropriate tool.
Chapter 1.7 Hardware Installation (Ceiling Mount)
1. Place the positioning label at the desired installation location on the ceiling and use a driller to drill the marker
symbol in order to allow the screw on the camera to pass through the drilled hole.
2. Remove the 4 screws on the plate to remove plate from the mounting cap.

3. Use a driller to drill 4 holes on the surface where the positioning label is placed. Insert 4 screw anchors into the
holes and secure the plate to the ceiling using the screws for the anchors.
4. Attach the safety harness on the camera mounting plate to the hook on the camera bottom.
5. Put the camera on the plate.
6. Please note that the OPEN ■ mark should be aligned with the screw hole on the plate. (There is only 1 screw
hole on the plate for easy recognition.)

7. Twist the camera counterclockwise until it is secured firmly in place. Then fix the camera on the ceiling with
the screw.
Note: Refer to Step 10 in Wall/Pendant installation for details on preparing the cable.
Chapter 2 Camera Configuration
Chapter 2.1 Accessing the Camera’s Configuration Menu (Graphical User Interface)
The camera’s default IP address is 192.168.1.168, make sure the IP address of the computer accessing the
camera is on the same network subnet before proceeding.
You can access the camera via a web browser or IP-FINDER software. The following information outlines the
instructions for each method.
Chapter 2.1.1 Installing IP-FINDER Software
Note: If IP-FINDER is already installed, you can skip this section and continue to the next chapter
IP-FINDER.
1. Download the IP-Finder installer file.
2. Unzip the IP-FINDER file to a location on the hard drive.
3. Once unzipped, double click on the setup file to start the installation program.
4. Click the Next button on the welcome screen to continue.

5. Confirm the directory that the program will be installed on. To specify a different folder, please click on the
Browse button and locate the desired installation folder.
6. To check the available drives you can install the software to and their available and required disk space,
please click on the Disk Cost button
7. Specify which user accounts on the computer can access the program, the options are Everyone and
Just me.

8. Click on the Next button to continue.
9. Click on the Next button to begin installation.
10. Once the installation process is complete, click on the Close button to finish. A shortcut will be created on the
desktop.
Chapter 2.1.2 IP-FINDER
1. Locate and open the IP-FINDER software shortcut on the desktop.
2. When the program is launched, it will begin searching the network for IP cameras automatically (the
search will last for up to 90 seconds). You can also manually search cameras by clicking on the Search
button.

3. Once the camera is discovered, it will show the following information:
Model Name
IP address
MAC address
UUID
Serial Number
Version
4. You can access the menu by double clicking the camera’s IP address under Camera List. The IE will be
opened automatically.
Chapter 2.1.3 Introduction to the IP-FINDER User Interface
UI Block
Description
1. Control Bar
Contains [Search], [Assign IP], [Home Page] and [Firmware
Upgrade] buttons.
2. Preview
Displays the selected camera image.
3. Information
Displays the selected camera information such as Model Name,
IP, MAC, UUID, SN and Version.
4. Camera List
Lists the cameras discovered by the search function. Each camera
shows the “IP”,Status”, Model Name and Device
Mark”. Users can also click the column headers to sort the list.
5. Device Mark
Asterisk sign indicates that this device has “Preview”, “Assign
IP” and “Firmware Upgrade” functions.

Chapter 2.1.3.1 Button Functions

Discovers IP cameras available on the network.

Changes the IP address of the camera.
Home Page
Opens the web browser to the home page of the camera.
Firmware Upgrade
Upgrades the camera firmware.
Search: When the [Search] button is clicked, the application will start searching cameras on the
network. To stop searching, click the [Done] button.
Assign IP: When the [Assign IP] button is clicked, a pop-up window “IP Address Configuration”
will appear, providing options to use DHCP or static IP address.
Home Page: To view the home page of a particular camera, double click on the camera in the list,
the web browser will open and redirect to the home page. To access the home page of two or more
cameras, tick the box of the cameras you wish to view and click on the [Home Page] button.
Firmware Upgrade: To update the camera firmware, tick the box of the cameras you wish to
update and click on the [Firmware Upgrade] button. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the
upgrade. If the camera does not support firmware upgrade, a pop-up window will be displayed.
NOTE: Different IP camera models use different firmware, please do NOT update the firmware of different models
using the same firmware.
Chapter 2.2 Main Screen Overview
The main screen will be shown after successfully logging into the IP camera. The main screen allows users to
view the live video of the 4 channels in the camera and provides options and status icons for configuring and
monitoring the camera.

Displays the current login account. Move the mouse close to the
icon to see which user is currently logged in. “Admins” indicates
administrator account and “User” indicates user account.
Logs out from the current login session.
Note:
1. AT: The camera detects the PoE switch or injector to be compliant with IEEE 802.3at. The power is about
25W. The camera can work well except IR. It can’t enable IR function. It will display a warning note
“Power is AT mode. The IR is forced turn off” to remind you the IR doesn’t work at IEEE 802.3at
mode.
2. AUX: The camera detects the power is from auxiliary device and IR can be enabled. The power is
AV24V/DC24V 40W.
3. BT: The camera detects the PoE switch or injector to be compliant with IEEE 802.3bt. The power is about
40W. It can enable IR automatically.
If you encounter an issue where the camera fails to turn on, or you see the message “Power is AT mode. The
IR is forced turn-off” on the top banner, it may indicate that you are using an incorrect PoE injector or switch.
This PoE device may not comply with
IEEE 802.3bt specifications. Please switch to a correct PoE device.
If you
are unable to find a correct PoE device, an alternative solution is to go to System > Maintenance > Power
Detection and manually select power detection and force it to IEEE 802.3bt.
Chapter 2.3 Configuring the Camera’s Setting
To configure the camera’s setting, click on the Setup button on the main screen to enter the configuration
menu.
Chapter 2.3.1 Browsing Through the Configuration Menu
The layout of the configuration menu is split into two sections. All the camera settings are located on the left
hand side of the interface, clicking on them will open their corresponding sub-menu on the right.
