CONNECTING THE MP3 PLAYER TO THE AMPLIFIER:
To connect your MP3 player to the AEA15 amplifier you will need to purchase the
appropriate cable:
• Most MP3 players require a 1/8” stereo to 1/8” stereo cable. An Ashton SC88
1/8” stereo to 1/8” stereo cable (pictured below) can be purchased at your
nearest Ashton dealer.
• The MP3 input can also be used to input other AUX devices, such as CD player
units; you will need to purchase the appropriate cable for the device you wish to
plug into the amplifier.

If you are experiencing problems with your Ashton amplifier, please follow these
instructions before contacting a service technician:
1. Check that the power cord is plugged into a power outlet.
2. Check that the power is turned on at the outlet. If you are at a gig, make sure the
stage power has been turned on.
3. Check that the control knobs have been sufficiently turned up.
4. Check that the instrument is correctly plugged into the amplifier, both at the
instrument nand at the amplifier input.
5. Check the instrument lead - faulty leads are one of the most common causes of
problems. Always carry a spare working lead for this purpose.
6. Check that the volume is turned up on the instrument.
7. If the instrument has active pickups, make sure the battery is not dead.
If your amplifier still does not function, contact your local Ashton dealer, or an authorized
service agent.
