Download the app
By typing « haiku bike » on the search bar of your app store (on iOs and on Android).
Pair your phone with HAIKU
- Go to the Bluetooth settings of your phone
- Run it «on» if it is not already
- Find and tap the device called « HAIKU XX:XX»
- Follow the pairing process and enter the password that appears on HAIKU
HAIKU will now connect your phone each time the Bluetooth is on.
Do not forget GPS
In order to use HAIKU, you will have to set the GPS «on» on your smartphone in the proper setting menu.
Check on the app!
To be sure that both Bluetooth and GPS are running good, you can check the two green (or gray if not OK)
icons that are displayed on top of the HAIKU app interface.
Sometimes...
You may have to go in the «applications settings» (iOS) to allow Haïku to use GPS and Notifications.

ON THE HANDLEBAR
Choose the right strap!
HAIKU is delivered with three straps of different length. The small one fits all bike handlebars, the medium
one is for stems and covered bars, and the large one is for plastic fairings.
Install the Dock
Choose the location of your HAIKU and fit the dock in the right place by pulling the strap tight on itself. Be
sure to have the rubbered layer in contact with the bar.
Remember...
HAIKU has to be oriented depending on its screen (you can set it up in the app settings). Then your dock
have to be place the right direction (corresponding to the display).

IN THE HAIKU APP
A / Navigation
To launch a navigation, just tap the appropriate button on main page and set it up ! In the «settings», you can
choose between various navigation profiles (bike fastest, bike shortest, etc).
B / Notifications
HAIKU automatically displays SMS and call notifications. You can switch off or add other kind of notifications
you want in the «settings».
C / Statistics
In the «settings», you can:
- choose the organization of the statistics screens (see statistics screen #01 and statistics screen #02
beside)
- set up the length format (meter / mile)
Statistics are automatic and your ride will be logged in «Rides», even if you do not launch navigation in
parallel.

Before riding:
You will have to be sure that the app is launched. If it is off or killed, HAIKU won’t work.
Please read the «USER WARNING» before riding.
Ride with the information you need:
1 Plug HAIKU on its magnetic dock
2 Set up a destination on the app
3 Launch navigation
4 Just ride !

USER WARNING:
Do not attempt to enter route information or adjust the settings or your device while riding.
Position your device safely, out of the way of your brake levers and make sure it does not
obstruct your vision.
Find a method to use the device that is not distracting to you, and remain as cautious as you
would be without the navigation device.
You are responsible for making sure the road is safe to travel on. We are not responsible for
errors generated by unreported road works or inclement weather.
Failure to pay full attention to the operation of your vehicle could result in death or personal
injury or damage to your property.

FCC compliance
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two
conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any
interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Any changes or modifications made to this device that are not expressly approved by Asphalt Lab
may void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

To find the FCC ID (e-label), turn on HAIKU and push the two physical buttons during 5 seconds.
Recycling HAIKU
HAIKU has to be collected separately from household rubbish and placed into designated recycling
bins in shops or other recycling points.
Call your local waste administrator to know more about legislations and to find nearest recycling
facilities.
Warranty disclaimer:
This Limited Warranty applies to physical goods, and only for physical goods, purchased from
Asphalt Lab.
What does this limited warranty cover?
This Limited Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the
Warranty Period. During the Warranty Period, Asphalt Lab will repair or replace, at no charge,
products or parts of a product that proves defective because of improper material or workmanship,
under normal use and maintenance.
What will we do to correct problems?
Asphalt Lab will either repair the Product, using new or refurbished replacement parts.
How long does the coverage last?
The Warranty Period for Haïku is two years from the date of purchase. A replacement product or
part assumes the remaining warranty of the original or two years from the date of replacement or
repair.
What does this limited warranty not cover?
This Limited Warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by extreme or non suitable
usage, conditions, malfunctions or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship
