LINK LCD UNIT INSTALLATION

Electronic parking system FBSN-4SD
System consists of following parts:
4 rear sensors (two central (1) are marked with black colour, two corner (2) are marked with blue colour) are
installed in a rear bumper
Control unit (3) in a boot
Rear cable harness (4)
Control device (5) with LCD display and operating buttons onto the suitable place in the cabin
Description of the function
After shifting into reverse gear you can hear control signal and rear sensors are activated. Obstacles are signalled
audibly by speaker and optically by LCD display on the control device. The faster beeping (blinking) the closer
obstacle is. Volume of the speaker can be adjusted (see chapter Adjustment of parameters). Zones R1, R2, R3
(see picture ZONES OF DETECTION) are also distinguished by height of tone. Continuous tone STOP zone
RC. Range of separate zones can be adjusted to vehicle geometry (see chapter Adjustment of parameters).
You can deactivate sensors by connecting the input DISABLE (pos.19) to the chassis (pos.7). Rear sensors can
be controlled by suitable towing bar socket. All functions are able to bi set by control device too.
If MUTE function is used, car audio is automatically faded-out during indication of obstacles.
WARNING: Even with electronic parking system installed it is necessary to watch surroundings of the
vehicle carefully during manoeuvring. Small obstacles and items with low reflectance do not have to be
captured by the system. Warnings may not be perceined in time if volume is set by user too low. Warnings
may not be perceined in time if volume is muted by user. Warnings may not be perceined in time if
sensors are deactivated by user or by swtch into towing bar socket.
Assembly guide
Before assembly, study carefully whole the Assembly guide. Switch the ignition off.
Layout of separate parts of the system is obvious from the picture CONNECTION INSIDE THE CAR.
1. Installation of sensors
IF YOU INSTALL SENSORS INTO A METAL BUMPER, YOU HAVE TO USE APPROPRIATE
ADAPTERS (ACCESSORIES).
Conditions for layout of sensors in bumpers are in the picture 1. Choose suitable type of brackets and mark
centres of the holes. For brackets (7) and (8) drill holes ø18mm, for brackets (9) and (10) holes ø24mm.
Paint the sensors, perhaps even brackets (9), (10) according to the colour of a bumper. Use preparation (11).
Before painting, apply suitable primer for plastics or Primer (14).
Before sticking of the brackets (7) and (8) clean surroundings of the holes and lay Primer (14). Get it dry for at
least 1 minute. Place the sensor into the bracket, remove cover foil, insert sensor into the hole and press bracket
fast. Adjust brackets so that connector of sensor comes out horizontally.
Place the blue sensors into the corners of the rear bumper and black sensors into the centre of the rear bumper.
2. Installation of the cabling
Place the cable box of rear cable harness in a boot and pull cables of the sensors through to the rear bumper.
Join sensors along the length of the cables and according to distinguishing colours. Join black-blue conductor
to the rear light. Join brown conductor to the chassis of the vehicle. Join grey-red conductor to the input
MUTE of audio. Mount the contact of this conductor into the cable box, pos. 20.

Place the control device onto the suitable place in the cabin and join cable. Conduct this cable between
control device and control unit and mount the contacts of opposite cable side into the cable box:
Brown conductor pos.1
Red-yellow conductor pos.6
White-blue conductor pos.13
Place control unit on suitable place in a boot and join cable box of rear cable harness.
Adjustment of parameters
1. Short press
(this features do not require switching power off and on, activates automatically after short delay)
Right button Disable: line around the car disappears, ON/OFF headline shines
Sonar is quiet and does not show situation behind the vehicle
if previously disabled enables sonar.
Left button Mute: Sonar is quiet but shows situation behind the vehicle
if previously muted turns the speaker back ON
2. Long press (after 10
th
click)
After few clicks, less then 10 system returns into operation without any change:
Both buttons FS resetting of Factory setting
One of buttons, not care which one setting mode entry
Short press parameter selection

Problems solving
If there is 3 seconds lasting faulty tone after shifting into reverse gear, there occurred disconnection or
damage of some sensor.
Number of faulty sensor is displayed on the control device.
If there is faulty or disconnected more than one sensor, display shows
periodically “En“ where “n“ are numbers of faulty sensors.
Faulty sensor(s) position is (are) displayed by the icon of the car.
Change faulty sensor as soon as possible, the whole device is out of order!
Sensor 1 sensor with the shortest cable
Sensor 4 sensor with the longest cable
If irregular false obstacle indication occurs, it can be one of the following problems:
Frost on sensors Clean sensors
Sensors are placed too low Use angle brackets (8) or (10) to tilt axe of sensors upwards
Rear side of sensors in a contact Create separation between sensor and vehicle body
with chassis of vehicle
If it is necessary to disconnect some wire from the control unit cable box, use attached extraction tool (15).
