DISHWASHER FEATURES
Your dishwasher, illustrated below, cleans by spraying a mixture of hot, clean water, and detergent against the soiled surfaces
of your dishes and tableware. Each cycle starts with a pre-drain. Next, the dishwasher fills with water to a level even with the
heating element. This water is constantly pumped through the rotating spray arm and sprayed onto the dishes. Soiled water is
pumped out and replaced with clean water during a cycle. The number of water fills depends upon the cycle being used.

The information for compatibility in accordance to EN50242 is as follows:
DISH PREPARATION
6
Dish Preparation
It is not necessary to rinse dishes before putting them
into the dishwasher. Just remove large pieces and
quantities of food, bones, pits, etc. Empty glasses and
cups. It may be necessary to presoak or lightly scour
firmly cooked-on or baked-on foods.
Foods such as mustard, mayonnaise, vinegar, lemon
juice and tomato-based products may cause
discoloration of stainless steel and plastics if allowed to
sit for a long period of time. Unless the dishwasher is to
be operated at once, it is best to rinse off these food
soils.
Load dishes facing the center of the rack so that the
water spray from the rotating spray arm can
reach
soiled surfaces.
Be sure large items do not block the detergent
dispenser, preventing it from opening during the wash
cycle.
To be sure an item is dishwasher safe, read the
manufacturer’s care instructions.
If the dishwasher drains into a food disposer, be sure
disposer is completely empty before
dishwasher is started.
To save energy, wash full loads.
For best washing results, load correctly and avoid
overloading.
7
PREPARING AND LOADING DISHES
Adding a Dish
1. Make sure there is a full wash cycle yet to be completed
so that any added items are thoroughly washed and
rinsed.
2. Unlatch door and wait for water action to stop.
3. Open door and add dish.
4. Firmly close door to latch and resume cycle.
Loading the Cutlery Tray
Silverware should be placed separately in the
corresponding placement on the cutlery rack.
Ensure that silverware is not nested, as the
water spray cannot effectively reach these items.
Loading the Bottom Rack
Large plates and platters Place between
the support pins with soiled sides facing inward.
Bowls, casseroles and sauce pans
Load upside down or at an angle facing inward. Slightly
tilting items will provide better drainage.
Pots and pans —Place upside down and at an
angle. Do not allow handles to protrude through bottom of
rack, blocking wash arm rotation. Load large items at the
sides and not across the front so they do not block the
detergent dispenser preventing it from opening.
Loading the Top Rack
Glasses and cupsPlace glasses and cups
against outside pins at an angle. Cups with a concave
bottom will collect water.
Small plates and saucersPlace dishes
between
middle two rows of pins.
PlasticwareLoad plasticware in the top rack to
avoid melting.
Bowls—Place bowls between the middle 2 rows of
pins facing down.
Miscellaneous items—Place long handled
knives and utensils in top rack.
Cup Shelf—The cup shelf can be folded down over
short items (juice glasses, cups, etc.) for more loading
space. When using cup shelf, alternate items with layer
below so that water can reach all inside surfaces.
Adjusting the Upper Rack
The height of the upper rack can be adjusted
to create more space for larger items on both
the top and bottom rack. This is done by placing
the wheels of the rack on a higher or lower
level on the rails.
Need More Space on Bottom
Rack?
1) The shelves for cup placement can be folded
down.
2) The tines (spikes) can be folded down.
8
DISHWASHER DISPENSERS
Water Softener/Salt
1) Remove the bottom rack of the dishwasher.
2) Unscrew and remove cap from the salt dispenser.
3) Place the end of the funnel (included with dishwasher)
into the hole and add about 1.5 kg. of dishwasher salt.
4) Fill the salt dispenser with water (It is normal for a
small amount of water to come out) .
5) After filling the container, screw the cap on tightly
in a counterclowise direction.
6) The salt indicator light will turn off once the salt
dispenser has been filled with salt.
7) Ensure that a short wash program is run after
the salt dispenser has been filled. Otherwise, the
filter system, pump or other important parts of the
machine may be damaged by salty water.
Note: The water softener/salt should only be
refilled when the salt indicator light on the control
panel turns on. Depending on how well the salt
dissolves, the salt warning light may still be on even
though the salt container is filled.
If there is not a salt indicator on the control panel
on the model of your dishwasher, you can estimate
when to refill the salt by the number of wash cycles
that the dishwasher has run.
Rinse Aid
Rinse aid greatly improves drying and reduces
water spots and filming. Water “sheets” off dishes
rather than forming water droplets that cling and leave
spots.
1) A dispenser, located next to the detergent cup,
automatically releases a measured amount of rinse aid
during the last rinse. If spotting and poor drying are
problems, increase the amount of rinse aid dispensed by
removing the dispenser lid and rotating the dial to a higher
number. The dial is located under the dispenser cap.
The indicator will be completely dark when full and the
size of the dot on the indicator will diminish as the rinse
aid decreases.
2) To add liquid rinse aid:
a)Turn dispenser cap to the open arrow (left) and lift out.
b)Pour in rinse aid until liquid touches the indicated fill level.
c)Replace cap by aligning it with the open arrow and turning
it to the towards the closed arrow position (right).
3) Do not overfill since this can cause oversudsing. Wipe up
any spills with a damp cloth.
Filling Rinse Aid Dispenser:
a
b
c
Adjusting Rinse Aid Dispenser:
Depending on your dishwasher model, the rinse aid dispenser
has either four or six settings. Always start with the dispenser
set on “4”. If spots and/or poor drying are a problem, increase
the amount of rinse aid released by removing the dispenser lid
and rotating the dial to “5”. If the dishes are still not drying
properly or show spots, adjust the dial to the next higher level
until your dishes are spot free.
If there are sticky white stains on your dishes or a bluish film
on your glassware and knife blades, reduce the amount of
rinse aid released into your wash cycle.

DISHWASHER DISPENSERS (Continued)
Detergents
Powdered Detergent
There are 3 different compositions of powdered
detergents
:
1) With phosphate and with chlorine
2) With phosphate and without chlorine
3) Without phosphate and without chlorine
Powdered dishwasher detergent does not normally
include phosphate. Thus, the water softener function
of phosphate is not given. In this case, we recommend
filling the salt dispenser with salt even when the
hardness of water is only 6 dH. If you choose not to
add salt, increase the amount of detergent used, as
this will help prevent white spots from appearing on
dishes.
Detergents without chlorine may leave colored spots.
In order to avoid this, choose a wash program with
a higher wash temperature when using detergent
without chlorine.
Concentrated Detegent
There are 2 different compositions of concentrated
detergents:
1) Conventional: Alkaline with caustic components
2) Low alkaline with natural enzymes
The use of concentrated detergent with a “normal”
wash program reduces energy usage as this wash
cycle is matched to the dirt dissolving properties
of the enzymes of the concentrated detergent. Using
other types of non concentrated detergents, would
require using an “intensive” wash program to achieve
the same wash result.
Detergent Tablets
Different brands of detergent tablets dissolve at different
speeds. As a result, some detergent tablets do not
dissolve and achieve their full cleaning power in
shorter wash programs. Therefore, choose a longer
wash program when using detergent tablets in order
to achieve optimal wash performance.
Filling the Detergent Dispenser
The detergent dispenser must be refilled before the
start of each wash cycle. Your dishwasher uses
less detergent and rinse aid than conventional
dishwashers. Generally, only 1 tablespoon
of detergent is needed for running a “normal”
wash program. More heavily soiled items will
require more detergent.
1) To open detergent dispenser lid, push latch.
2)Fill the detergent dispenser:
a) For main wash cycle
b) For pre-was cycle
* Please check detergent packaging label
for amount of detergent use.
10
CARE AND CLEANING
Allow heating element to cool
before cleaning the interior.
Failure to do so can result in
burns.
Burn Hazard
WARNING
Hard water may cause lime deposit buildup on the interior
of the dishwasher.
NOTE
Outside —Occasionally wash with a mild nonabrasive
detergent and water. Rinse and dry.
Inside The inside of the dishwasher is self-cleaning
with normal use.
To clean stainless steel wipe with the grains.
Use a Dishwasher Safe Detergent to help with the stains or
discolorations.
NEVER use products that contain Chlorine Bleach or
Citric Acid.
Winterizing
To Disconnect Service:
1. Turn off electrical power to the dishwasher at the supply
source by removing fuses or tripping circuit breaker.
2. Shut off water supply.
3. Place a pan under the inlet valve. Disconnect water line
from inlet valve and drain into pan.
4. Disconnect drain line from pump and drain water into
pan.
T
o Restore Service:
1. Reconnect the water, drain, and electrical power supply.
2. Turn on water and electrical power supply.
3. Fill detergent dispenser and run dishwasher through a
NORMAL WASH Cycle.
4. Check connections to make sure they do not leak.
A dishwasher left in an unheated place should be protected
from freezing. Have a qualified person do the following:
5. Reconnect the water inlet pipe to the water valve.
6. Remove the filter at the bottom of the tub and use a
sponge to soak up water in the sump.
For optimum performance, your dishwasher is equipped
with a filter assembly featuring a main, coarse and
fine filter as shown in the drawing above. All food
fragments are removed from the dishwasher as water
passes through the filter assembly.
Each part of the assembly should be cleaned often to
ensure that all food fragments are removed from the
dishes. To remove food
fragments from the filter
assembly, the filters must be removed from the
dishwasher. To remove the filters, pull up on the edge
of the main filter. Next, rinse the main filter and fine
filter under running water. Cleaning with a brush may
also be necessary to remove any fragments trapped in
the filters. Once cleaning has been completed, simply
reassemble the filter as shown in the drawing below. To
ensure that the filter is fully seated, please press down
on the top of the main filter. Using the dishwasher
without a properly installed filter is not
recommended as it will reduce the cleaning
efficiency and may damage dishware.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Positioning the Dishwasher
The back of the dishwasher should be positioned against
a wall and the sides of the dishwasher between two walls
or cabinets. Make sure your location has the correct drain,
water and electrical outlets to attach the connections.
Leveling the Dishwasher
The height of the dishwasher may be adjusted by
turning the leveling legs. Do not incline the
dishwasher more than 2 inches (5.08cm).
Electric Shock Hazard
Grounding Instructions:
The dishwasher must be connected to a grounded metal,
permanent wiring system or an equipment-grounding
conductor must be run with the circuit conductors and
connected to the appliance’s equipment grounding terminal
or lead. It is the consumer’s responsibility to contact a
qualified installer to make sure the electrical installation
conforms with the National Electrical Code and local codes
and ordinances.
Do not connect the dishwasher to the power supply until the
appliance is permanently grounded.
Do not use an extension cord. Such use can result in fire,
electrical shock, or other personal injury.
Failure to follow these instructions could result in death or
serious injury.
WARNING
Water Line Connection
Cold Water Line Connection
Connect the cold water supply hose to a threaded
3/4 inch connector and ensure that it is fastened
tightly in place.
Flush water line before connecting it to the water
inlet valve to prevent early clogging of filter screen.
Drain Hose Connection
Insert the drain hose into a drain pipe with a
mininum diameter of 40mm or let it run into the
sink, ensuring it is not bent or crimped.
Draining Excess Water from Hoses
If the distance between the sink and floor is over
1,000mm, the excess water in the hose cannot be
drained directly into the sink. The excess water
will have to be drained from the hose into a separate
bowl or container that is lower than the sink.
Water Outlet
Connect the water drain hose. The drain hose must
be correctly fitted to avoid water leaks. Ensure that
the water drain hose is not kinked or squashed.
Extension Hose
If a drain hose extension is required, use a similar
drain hose that is no longer than 4 meters. Otherwise,
the cleaning performance may be reduced.
Air Gap
If you connect to a sink trap, local codes may require
you to install and air gap kit (not included). The drain
hose will be routed from the dishwasher to the air
gap inlet. An air gap kit is available from a plumbing
supply store. ( If the drain hose is installed through
the floor, an air gap is necessary.)
