Hanging Hammock
A shaded location is best, the less direct sunlight, the
longer the life of rope and wooden spreader bars.
During winter months store hammock in a dry location.
Caring for Rope
Clean using warm, soapy water and a soft-bristled
scrub brush; a mild liquid detergent will be sufficient.
Spread the hammock on a deck or concrete surface,
soak thoroughly with a garden hose, pour soapy water
and scrub with brush, then rinse thoroughly before
allowing the hammock to dry. Take note, if rope is
cotton, it may shrink slightly in drying, but will stretch
back with use.
Caring for Wood/Spreader Bars
Over time finish will begin to dull and wear off from
normal outdoor weathering. To ensure maximum life
of your hammock, refinish wood once you notice this
happening. Removing spreader bars from hammock is
not recommended, leave assembled/tied together and
work carefully around the rope.
