Power-Supply Wiring for the D600 Sensor
Micro Motion D600 sensors comply with EMC directive
89/336/EEC and low-voltage directive 73/23/EEC, when
properly installed in accordance with these instructions.
Terminal 1 is line, terminal 2 is neutral, and terminal 3 is
ground. See
Figure 1
.
Ground the sensor with a maximum impedance of 1 ohm.
Connect and bond a user-supplied ground wire to the earth
ground connection on the amplifier housing. See
Figure 1
.
A switch may be installed in the power-supply line. For
compliance with low-voltage directive 73/23/EEC, a switch
is required.
Do not install power-supply wiring in the same cable tray or
conduit as flowmeter cable.
If conduit is used, connect a ½-inch NPT male conduit
connector to the conduit opening in the seal for power-
supply wiring. See
Figure 1
.
If conduit is not used, connect a ½-inch NPT male cable
gland to the conduit opening in the seal for power-supply
wiring. See
Figure 1
.
To install flowmeter cable
, see the cable preparation
instructions that are shipped with the cable preparation kit.

CAUTION
Improper installation of wiring could cause
measurement error or sensor failure.
Shut off power before installing power-supply wiring.
For personal and system safety, follow all instructions to
ensure sensor will operate correctly.
Match power-supply voltage with voltage indicated on
the label inside the amplifier housing.
CAUTION
Failure to seal amplifier housing could cause a short
circuit, which would result in measurement error or
flowmeter failure.
To avoid risk of condensation or excessive moisture
entering the amplifier housing:
Seal all conduit openings.
Install drip legs in cable or conduit.
Fully tighten amplifier housing cover.
Install drip leg in
cable or conduit
