Note to 510 Series Drive Users
RecordNow DX
If you want to overwrite older files on a disc, use the RecordNow wizard. You
cannot overwrite older files from the data job window.
Data on any type of disc may become unavailable if you change the file system
type of the data job window and write data to the disc. To avoid this problem, do
not set the file system type to “UDF – Up to 128 in filename, any char, plus 8+3
tree (Bridge)” when using discs already containing data. The file system type
setting is found in the “Data Job Options” dialog box, accessible by clicking
“Recording Options” on the “Edit” menu.
It is not possible to copy data from a DVD to a DVD of a different type.
However, you can copy data from DVD-RW created with RecordNow or
MyDVD to other media.
PowerDVD
If you are using a VAIO computer with a preinstalled version of PowerDVD,
installing the PowerDVD version supplied with the drives may cause VAIO “TV
Output” and other such functions to become unavailable. We recommend that such
users use their preinstalled version of PowerDVD instead of the one supplied with
the drives.
