Beware of electric shock from welding electrode or
wiring. Touching the electrode while in contact with the
work or ground can cause electric shock. Always wear
dry gloves. Keep all panels and covers closed.

4. Installing The ArcTimer
! Turn off welding power
source before making con-
nections.
1 Sensing Unit
2 Weld Cable
Use supplied bracket to mount dis-
play unit in a clearly visible location
close to the welding power source.
Display cord length is 10 ft ( 3 m).
Connect cord plug to receptacle on
bottom of unit.
Disconnect weld cable from weld-
ing power source Positive (+) or
Negative () terminal. Route cable
through sensing unit and reconnect
cable. Orientation of sensing unit
on cable does not matter.

5. Display Screens
The ArcTimer displays the running
time of the weld in minutes and sec-
onds (0:00). The arc symbol in the
left corner of the display screen is lit
during the welding process.
When there is no weld activity, the
ArcTimer cycles between three dis-
play screens:
S Duration of last weld.
S Total weld count since last reset.
S Total arc time since last reset.
The arc symbol is lit when unit is
displaying duration of last weld and
total weld count.
To reset the Arc Timer display, turn
Reset key (on bottom of unit).

6. Replacing The Batteries

Normal battery life is three years.
The ArcTimer displays the bat-
tery symbol when the batteries
need to be replaced.
To replace the batteries, remove
the four screws from the front of
the display unit. Remove front
panel to access batteries.
Install new batteries (four C size
batteries required).
Reinstall front panel.
