Introduction
Welcome
Dear Customer
Congratulations on your choice of a quality hob
which has been designed to give you excellent
service.
The hob must be installed by a qualified electrician in
accordance with current regulations and used in a
well-ventilated space.
Please read these instructions thoroughly before
installing or using the appliance and keep them for
handy reference.
Make sure you understand the controls prior to
using your appliance.
This hob must only be used for its intended
purpose, i.e. the cooking of food in the home.
Failure to observe these instructions may
invalidate your right to free service during the
guarantee period.

any information contained in this booklet please

Important safety information
This manual contains important information
regarding safety, use and maintenance of your new
hob. Please read the manual carefully and keep it in
an easily accessible place for future consultation.
Precautions and advice
All messages relevant to safety
specify the potential risk to which
they refer and indicate how to
reduce the risk of injury, damage
and electric shocks due to incorrect
use of the appliance. Make sure to
comply with the following:
- The appliance must be
disconnected from the power
supply before carrying out any
installation operation.
- Installation and maintenance
must be carried out by a
specialised technician, in
compliance with the
manufacturers instructions and
the local safety regulations in
force. Do not repair or replace
any part of the appliance unless
specifically stated in the user
manual.
- The appliance must be earthed.
- The power cable must be long
enough for connecting the
appliance, fitted in the cabinet,
to the power supply.
- For installation to comply with
the current safety regulations, an
omnipolar switch with minimum
contact gap of 3mm is required.
- Do not use multi-sockets or
extension cords.
- Do not pull the appliances
power cable.
- The electrical parts must not be
accessible to the user after
installation.
- The appliance is designed solely
for domestic use for cooking
food. No other use is permitted
(e.g. heating rooms). The
Manufacturer declines any
liability for inappropriate use or
incorrect setting of the controls.
- The appliance and its accessible
parts become hot during use.
Care should be taken to avoid
touching heating elements.
Children less than 8 years old
shall be kept away unless
continuously supervised.
- The accessible parts can become
very hot during use. Children
must be kept away from the
appliance and watched over to
ensure they do not play with it.

- Do not touch the appliance
heating elements during and
after use. Do not allow the
appliance to come into contact
with cloths or other flammable
materials until all the
components have cooled
sufficiently.
- Do not place flammable
materials on or near the
appliance.
- Overheated oils and fats catch
fire easily. Pay attention when
cooking food products rich in fat
and oil.
- This appliance can be used by
children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance
in a safe way and understand
hazards involved. Children shall
not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children
without supervision.
- If the surface is cracked, switch
off the appliance to avoid the
possibility of electric shock.
- The appliance is not intended to
be operated by means of an
external timer or separate
remote control system.
- Unattended cooking on a hob
with fat or oil can be dangerous
and may result in fire. NEVER try
to extinguish a fire with water,
but switch off the appliance and
then cover flame e.g. with a lid or
a fire blanket.
- Danger of fire: do not store items
on the cooking surfaces.
- Do not use steam cleaners.
- Metallic objects such as knives,
forks, spoons and lids should not
be placed on the hob surface
since they can get hot.
Before using the cooking hob
Before use, remove:
Adhesives stuck on the hob.
Cardboard guards and protective plastic film.
Check whether the hob has been damaged
during transport. If any doubt, contact the After
Sales Service.
Before first use of appliance, be sure to clean
stainless steel cooktop surface with specific
commercial cleaning product.
Energy saving tips
For optimum results, observe the following advice:
The cooking hob is equipped with hotplates
having different diameters. Use pots and pans
whose bottom diameter is equal to that of the
cooker plates, or slightly larger.
Only use flat-bottomed pots and pans.

Do not operate a hotplate without placing a
container on it.
If possible, keep the pot covered when cooking.
Cook vegetables, potatoes, etc. with little water in
order to cut down cooking time.
A pressure cooker allows you to save even more
energy and time.
Recommendations
Important: Disconnect the hob from the mains
before carrying out any installation work or servicing.
All electrical connections must be made before
connecting the appliance to the power supply.
Installation must be carried out by a qualified
technician in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions and in compliance with local
regulations.
Unpack the hob and make sure that the appliance
has not been damaged during transport. If you
are not sure contact the depot or the nearest
service centre.

Technical information for the
Installer
This cooking hob can be embedded in a worktop
20 to 50 mm thick.
If another appliance is not fitted under the
cooking hob, insert a separator panel, at a
distance of at least 90 mm from the cooking hob
bottom.
If a vertical piece of furniture is installed, there
must be a gap of at least 100 mm between it
and the edge of the cooking hob.
Installation of cooking hob
Apply the supplied gasket to the cooking hob
(unless it has already been fitted), after having
cleaned its surface as shown in the figure.
A - If the worktop is made out of wood, use the
springs supplied.
1. Fit the 4 springs into the relevant seat under
the box.
2. Make an opening in the worktop, respecting the
dimensions indicated in the enclosed product
description sheet.
3. Install the cooking hob in the worktop.
B - If the worktop is made out of marble or other
materials (plastics, ceramics or stone), the cooking
hob must be fixed by means of brackets , to be
ordered from the After-Sales Service (code 4819
310 18528).
1. Align the brackets with the bores and fix them
with the screws.
2. Make an opening in the worktop, respecting the
dimensions indicated in the product description
sheet.
3. Install the cooking hob in the worktop.
Before installing the cooking hob, remove the
plastic film that protects it, if present.
Installation must comply with current local
safety regulations.

Electrical connection
Electrical connections
The electrical connections must comply with
local regulations.
The data relevant to the voltage and power
absorption are indicated on the rating plate.
The earthing of this appliance is compulsory
by law.
The manufacturer cannot be held responsible
for injury to persons or animals or damage to
property arising from failure to comply with
these requirements.
When the appliance is installed, provide a
multi-pole circuit breaker with a contact
separation (at least 3 mm) in all poles that
provide full disconnection under overvoltage
category III and must be incorporated in the
fixed wiring in accordance with the national
wiring rules.
After installation, the electric parts must not
be accessible.
For electrical connection, use an H05RR-F
cable
(see table in product description sheet).
The power cable must be long enough for
connecting the appliance, once fitted in its
housing, to the power supply.
The electrical components must not be
accessible to the user after installation.

WITH SIDE CONTROLS
Connection to terminal board
1. Open the cover of the terminal board and loosen
screw by means of a tool, as shown in the
figure.
2. Unsheathe the cable for about 70 mm.
3. Peel off the internal cables for about 10 mm
loosen cable clamp screw , and insert the cable
in the cable clamp.
The terminal board has 4 terminals:
1-2 interconnected (line)
3 (neutral)
4 (earth): marked with symbol .
4. Connect the cable to the terminal board,
following the indications of the connection
diagram punched on the bottom of the cooking
hob. Fasten the cable clamp and close the cover.

Operation of electric hotplates
Set the knob to one of positions 1-6, which
correspond to different temperatures.
To switch off the hotplate, set the knob to
position “0”.
Note: your hob aesthetics can be slightly different
from the drawing.

Care and maintenance
Before cleaning the cooking hob, disconnect it
from mains power supply and wait until it has
cooled down.
Wipe it with a cloth moistened with hot water and
soap or diluted liquid detergent.
Do not use abrasive or corrosive products,
chlorine products or steel wool.
Do not leave acid or alkaline substances, such as
vinegar, salt or lemon juice, etc., on the cooking
hob.
Stainless steel surface
Clean it with a specific commercial product.
Note: if the cooking hob is used continuously, the
high temperatures may alter the colour of the
hotplates.
Cleaning the electric hotplates
The electric hotplates must be cleaned when they
are lukewarm.
Wipe them with a cloth moistened with water and
salt, and polish with a cloth moistened with oil.
Troubleshooting guide
The hob does not work
Check for the presence of mains electrical power.
Set the knob to “0” and switch on the hob again
to ensure that the fault has been remedied.
The hob will not switch off
Disconnect the hob immediately by
disconnecting the power cable from the socket.
In case of direct connection to the power grid,
disconnect immediately using the fuse box.
WARNING
Never clean the appliance with
high pressure water or steam
cleaning equipment.

Try to solve the problem (see “Troubleshooting
guide”).
If after the above checks the fault persists, contact the
After-sales Service.
Safeguarding the environment
Disposal of packaging materials
The packing material can all be fully recycled, as
confirmed by the recycling symbol .
The various parts of the packing must not be sent
for waste, but recycled in conformity with the
regulations imposed by local authorities.
Disposal of used household
appliances
This appliance is marked according to the
European directive 2002/96/EC on Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). By
ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you
will help prevent potential negative
consequences for the environment and human
health, which could otherwise be caused by
inappropriate waste handling of this product.
The symbol on the product, or on the
documents accompanying the product, indicates
that this appliance may not be treated as
household waste. Instead it shall be handed over
to the applicable collection point for the recycling
of electrical and electronic equipment. Disposal
must be carried out in accordance with local
environmental regulations for waste disposal. For
more detailed information about treatment,
recovery and recycling of this product, please
contact your local city office, your household
waste disposal service or the shop where you
purchased the product.
