Adcom GFA-5500 is a high-current power amplifier designed to deliver accurate and musical sound reproduction. It features precision-matched MOSFETs throughout the signal path, 80,000 uF of power supply filter capacitance, and a custom toroidal power transformer for improved regulation and peak current capability. The GFA-5500 also has gold-plated binding posts, independent thermal overload and distortion LEDs for each channel, gold-plated brass RCA jacks with Teflon insulators, large exposed heatsinks for cooling, and a heavy-gauge anodized aluminum front panel.
