Many manufactured fireplaces have louver openings for venti-
lation. Do not cover any louver openings with fireplace hood.
Do not mount fireplace hood above any louver openings. Only
mount fireplace hood below louver openings. Covering louver
openings or mounting fireplace hood above louver openings
will cause the fireplace to overheat and could cause property
damage, personal injury, or death due to fire.

CAUTION
Brass-plated hood may tarnish due to heat if you mount it too
low. Make sure the bottom of hood is at least 17 inches above
the bottom of fireplace (see illustrations below). If installation
height is less than 17 inches, use the GA6050 flat-black hood.
